I absolutely love your videos. I am completely new to photography and cameras and have looked at so many different channels until I found yours. Now I’ve only been watching your videos to learn because you actually go over the small details others leave out for newbies like me. I’m learning so much, thank you!!
De verdad, tremendo vídeo y muchísimas gracias para todos los que tenemos un Manfrotto como trípode. Saludos y gracias desde Santiago de Chile (Latin-America).
I am trying to figure out how to mount my body cam to a tripod. It doesn't have a screw hole in the bottom. I want to buy an adaptor that I could stick to the bottom of the body cam that would have a screw hole. I don't even know what to call that. My searches have come up empty. Help!
All of them. Every camera has the same "threaded hole" on the bottom that fits all tripods. Some tripods are better suited for certain cameras/certain purposes (ie: video vs photo, event photo vs portraits, etc).
look for a "top down" tripod. They have a bar that extends horizontally and allows the camera to be mounted facing straight down (away from the tripod legs).
I was really annoyed that I had to screw/unscrew my camera all the time when I wanted to use my tripod. 20 seconds into this video I realized my mistake ... I didn't even know there was a quick release plate 😅
Good golly... don't ever put a release plate onto a camera this way! Take the plate off the tripod and screw it in! You risk dropping your camera and not getting the 1/4-20 thread not tightened correctly
I'm embarrassed to admit I did it like the intro 😂
All good! Thanks for watching!
Me too lol
Same, I was like so that’s all it takes 😂

Body cans aren’t really used on tripods, hence the word “body cam”
THANK YOU!

....aaaand don't forget to replace the plate back on the tripod, esp if it's a shared one! (from your friendly neighbourhood photography teacher).
Great video… Could you kindly share Tripod link? Thanks 😊
Hey great video! Quick question, what version of the Manfrotto Tripod are you using here?
The actual tripod is a 290 light (an older/basic one).
