Petty Johns Cave-The Labyrinth Trip Edit

- This is a short video of our trip that lasted for hours into the labyrinth section of petty johns cave on pigeon mountain in north Georgia. It's down in the water tunnels and turns into a connecting maze full of weird features. It was too big for us to explore so we will eventually come back.

I have explored that very cave. It is so huge that it is easy to get lost in there. Always go with people that knows that cave well and make certain you carry plenty of supplies, just in case... Thumbs Up!

Wow I've been there almost 10 times and never dared go near the labyrinth just because the maps of that area scared me enough to not wanna lol. Hoping to go back very soon hope to see you there!
wish I had seen this comment, I went with highgearmx last saturday lol we took the loop with the pancake squeeze, to squirrel room, bridge room, mason dixon, volcano room, and back to entrance. But yeah the labrynth was one of the last for us to explore cause it looked like a mess. We will be back soon im sure
ActionAdventureTwins Wow ive attempted that loop once but got a little turned around at the top of the bridge room and couldn't find the hole so we just climbed down the ropes. Definitely the worst thing ive done lol would not recommend those ropes. Hope to go up in a weekend or two probably.

I went today only made it to the pancake
It was the first cave I did in 1986. If it was on the map in the 80's I have been to it. Nathan and I even found some new passage. But alas we grow old and the thought of being cold wet and extremely muddy has lost its desire. Glad to see the new generation has continued on. Cave on fellow troglodytes!!!
That's awesome, must have been very dark back then with how dim the lights were. we have it easy now with LED's. In our next video we reach high anxiety back in the cave!
@@ActionAdventureTwins True we used carbide and halogen lights. If you had money you could buy a wheat lamp. Hope you enjoy caving as much as I did!! I did for 20 years had to stop because I blew my knees and shoulder. The down side of getting old. Please safe and have fun!!!
My humble opinion, I don’t like the music, so much better hearing just the sounds of the cave, thanks for sharing!!
how do I get to the labrynth
go into the entrance room up the boulders in the middle and back down the drop on the other side. Drop down the floor at the bottom, and go past the pancake squeeze and to the junction room with the rope hanging and go down through the rocks in the floor to the stream level 35 feet down and turn to your left immediately and go through that stream passage. That leads to porpoise passage and then to the labyrinth.

Yo me and HighgearMx been going here we made as far as the room where you can here water but you got to climb down in a tight spot its at 2:11 in your video
haha we went with him a few days ago, and we got a lot further than that this time.
ActionAdventureTwins yeah lol 2 after you guys went he went with me Monday that week made it to the water fall and then our lights started to die so had to get out of there quick
