The carriage tour is a MUST do lots of great info and sights. Ghost tour is not great but kinda fun. Everything on king st is expensive. Patriots point is another must do thing. Patriots point is across the bay from Charleston a 10 minute ride across the bridge.
Hi, guys! I simply LOVE the US....My dream trip! And I like to discover even more and more about it! Charleston looks amazing and very atmospheric. South Carolina is a wonderful State with a history and a past to remember and don't forget. Thanks for these tips, guys and have a great week! Cheers and a like for you from Milan! Renata
I first saw some of your videos, last year, while planning a trip to Seattle. I really enjoyed them and they helped with planning the trip. I am headed to Charleston soon and while looking for ideas I happened across this video. Then I realized I had seen you before. I really enjoy your content and thanks for sharing.
No way!!! That's incredible! We're so glad you found our videos literally from coast-to-coast. Thanks so much for sharing that with us, We hope you have a great trip! 😊
I'm moving there permanently in September. I can't freaking wait my family lives there. I've visited so many times and will never make a dent. Next time you go visit Carmella in downtown you won't regret it.🥰
It is indeed to pretty, I love those old trees in the park and historic houses, so many attractions. Charleston is an amazing city. Thank you for this tour, I enjoyed this video. ❤❤☺☺👍👍
really? I am at Quanzhou City, Fujian Province, China, if you are in China, make sure you could come to my city for once, i will be your tour guide for free😁@@SharingtheRoad
Fort Sumter - Fort Sumter is a sea fort built on an artificial island protecting Charleston, South Carolina from naval invasion. Its origin dates to the War of 1812 when the British invaded Washington by sea. It was still incomplete in 1861 when the Battle of Fort Sumter began the American Civil War.
Yes, Magnolia Place is nice, but why did you leave out Middleton Place? It's magnificent with several types of gardens, rice mill, rice ponds, a restaurant with locally grown food, and much, much more!
Extremely well made video, Charleston was the part of SC I've heard the least about as a California native and prior to this video I wasn't excited about it at all. You guys made this place look really fun to visit!
Are you joking? We never get a chance to forget. It’s still thrown in our face every day like it’s our generation’s burden to bear. That took place 160+ years ago. Still want for 40 acres and a mule? Move on!
White people were slaves. I recommend Saints and Strangers written by Joseph A. Conforti about the people who colonized New England which has information about white and Indian slavery in colonial America. Slavery has existed forever. In the Bible St Paul says that "Christians should obey God as slaves obey their masters". I also recommend Lee Kennette's Marching Through Georgia. There is much propaganda and a lot of cultural engineering by people who want to destroy the west. Much of what we're told day in and day out are lies. It has now been proven that there were no gas chambers where Jews were killed. Much depends upon who controls our public airwaves and the propaganda machines and their motives and self interests.

Charleston is an awesome historical city. Alongside Williamsburg, Savannah, and St. Augustine, it makes up a great road trip for history lovers. This is well done, as always. When visiting plantations, do you know how the income is distributed? Like, do you know if plantation incomes needs to be contributed to any descendants of slaves? I always wanted to visit one but also don’t want to support unless they support those who helped build the plantation.
Hi There! In the spot I highlighted, every time we've visited Charleston theres been tons of parking there. The section wraps around pretty far, so even if you have to park an extra block or so away, you'll usually find a spot! We hope you have an amazing trip!
Sounds fun!!! I think walking around Savannah could be slightly more fun, just because all the squares feel so magical. However, Charleston probably has a slightly better shopping district if that’s what you’re looking for. You really can’t go wrong either way, they’re both AMAZING cities.
According to the tour we went on, workers lived in these houses for 120+ years after slavery (we were surprised to learn workers still lived in these cabins through the 1990s). We highly recommend the tour. It’s packed with history and helps share the voices of the enslaved people, workers, and descendants (some of which who still work there) who inhabited these cabins.
@@SharingtheRoad fo show! I'm from charleston well I live about 20 minutes away inland! But I love some good ol pulled pork BBQ sandwiches and mac n cheese! Liked your video!
Love how you add the map (and line) to get a sense for distance and direction to various locations. A 5 basketball court sized tree? Wow!
I also recommend going to the market which is by waterfront park and a seafood restaurant called hymans near by!! Both staples from my childhood
Man Charleston is a hoot a fucking tree is a must do item on multiple videos.
