His deck is way cooler than the one of Yuya
Most of his non-pendulum monsters make allusion to mythical creatures, most of his pendulum monsters make allusion to scientist and philosophers, the extra monster zones are references to importante general, soldiers and kings while his boss monsters are references to apocalyptic events such as Armageddon and Ragnarok
precisely, Mr Res. Most of the enhanced D/D/D Armageddon cards are card versions of all the final antagonists in the previous Yu-Gi-Oh franchises, Zorc Necrophades, Nightshroud(Darkness), Z-ONE, Don-Thousand.
maybe so, but fanservice boss rushes like these are usually used for the end off an entire set of an anime cartoon, makes everyone beg for a remake/redo with all the problems fixed in the older original. Speaking of "original", do you or anyone else think that some Animes/Mangas/Games would look and work better if the drawing style and technical development returned to its Origins?

Because he's actually Seto Kaiba's bastard child. Seto was 15-16 and the President and CEO of the world's best gaming company. He's actually the same age as Yugi since they were in the same class in school at the beginning of the DM anime making him 25-27 in GX and 17-18 in Dark Side of Dimensions (given it's the end of Yugi's senior year in that film and I'm not sure if Yugi and the gang were Freshmen or Juniors in the DM anime given Japan ran on a 3 year per school basis rather than a four year basis. Meaning 10th grade is Freshmen there not Sophomore.)
Fun Fact:In the manga Reiji's ultimate monster is himself! In the Manga Reiji gained god power just like Yuya after the main villain was defeated(Read the Manga) and created a pendulum monster card (that is out in the Tcg and Ocg and a must use in D/D/D) called Divine Go-D/D/D Zero King Zero GOD Reiji!
Argubly one of the best rivals in the Yugioh franchise. Gotta love the way he adjusts his glasses.
Reiji is one of my favorite characters in Yugioh Arc V. He brings the D in dueling! Literally. Declan is the Delightful Duelist of Diamonds fighting Dimensional Dangers with his cards D/D and DDD!

Decklan definitely has one of the coolest decks in my opinion. Just built myself a D/D deck and I'm amazed how well all the cards work off one another to make bringing out all the many different extra deck types so much easier.

Is it me or D/D/D Archtype is based on Historic Geniouses and most influential ppl. Savant Gallilei, High King Ceasar, Gusto Wind Alexander? I mean it has a lot of sense Reiji was the most influential person in Arc V and he formed the Lancers being their leader as the king. Interesting.
yes! And the best thing is the evolved forms of those cards, which have names like "Gust High King *Executive* Alexander", and have more stylized forms. It's also quite nice since his deck is about different dimensions, and it's just fun to think that "he brough out a DD version of ceasar that is an armoured giant who wields a giant-ass blade on his back"
youre not wrong i wont be surprised if they end up also adding d/d elon musk , billgates, steve jobs , or even that of steven hawking as savant cards honestly

No one talks about how the D/D archetype is pretty much the perfect deck to teach someone how to play. It uses all the summoning methods that existed at the time.
it uses link monsters as well now (D/D/D Doomking Gilgamesh)

Always liked the DDD Archetype for the fact that their boss monsters and a lot of monsters in general made historical, scientific and cultural references in general, take for example kings siegfried, caesar, and ghengis, science wise includes savant shröedinger which is obviously in reference to the shröedingers box theory
reji as a rival is a breath of fresh air and an interesting character where u can't actually reading his mind or what his intentions are.
He’s the first/second rival using Fiend as opposed Dragon type.

forgot to mention that each boss monster for each type of extra-deck summoning references the previous era's bad guys. With Purplish representing Darkness, Whitish representing Z-ONE and Darkish Don Thousand/Barian World.

I've had an interest in DDD for a long time. With master rule 5 I finally started using the deck. I'm loving it and I got pretty good. Definitely not great but I have gotten good enough to dominate my friends main deck. cyber dragon.

Yes! One of my favorites. Can you do a d/d/d yugioh trivia episode?
The D/D archetype is probably tied with Cyber Dragons as my favorite archetype. Taking historical and Mythological figures and turning them into an dimensional demons is so cool; along with being able to use every form of extra deck summoning. It’s my regular deck to use in Legacy of the Duelist.

The guy had a deck of mystical creatures and generals from legends told.
It is the greatest archetype of all time imo. Fun deck to use too. Uses all summoning methods extremely fluently.

I'm like 2 years late but at my second convention (they're rare where I stay) I got my first deck in over 10 years, and it just happened to be this one. It was hella confusing figuring out pendulums and all the other new mechanics but I never knew it belonged to a protag, it always gave me more of a villain vibe with all the LP costs but given his backstory it makes more sense now

Now we need an Archetype episode on D/D and D/D/Ds. Also, I think the normal D/D stands for "Dimension Demon", while D/D/D stands for "Different Dimension Demon", which is probably a reference to the D/Ds being Effect Monsters, while the D/D/Ds are Pendulums, Synchros, Fusions and Xyzs, thus being from "Different Dimensions" than the other demons.
This is perfect for my recommendation since Reiji comes out in Duel Links tomorrow.

Akaba Reiji is one of the of the best alternative version of Kaiba. In fact, he is more cunning than the original Kaiba.
