Nice run dude, I have this hpi motor in the original Sprint, I think it was HPI stock motor that came with alot of their cars , it never could keep up with my tamiyas 🙂
@@rctamiyaaddict4687Exactly why I will never go lipo, and will continue using nimh packs until the next battery technology comes out that is more stable and home friendly than lipo packs. Somewhere out there are people who lost their home because they used lipo batteries. Was the extra 2mph and punch worth a house fire? People who use lipo probably would buy a tesla and park it in a garage.
@@rctamiyaaddict4687 apparently just found out that its suppose to be 30,000+rpm these are cheap Chinese trash they have internal plastic fan like the Fake sports tuned black can motor, that have no underload rpm gutless rubbish
Thats a nice place you live. Must be nice in winter time, no snow. Not a fan of that motor, it reminds me of some fake cheap chinese shit you can buy on temu
Thought I’d give it ago but feels I should have got more speed out of it. Have a super stock I’ll be putting in there later. Would love a bit of snow, but it doesn’t happen often down on the coast.
I think the esc would just cut out if it couldnt handle it. What esc is it? Mine came with a carson which was terrible, i swapped it out for a hobbywing quicrun 1060 and it works a treat

Thought I’d throw it in and give it a go. Will be swapped out later in the project.
Definitely time for LiPo batteries!
Would want to go in that direction after exhausting the brushed options but always worried I’ll burn the house down.

The shock springs have no load on them and will be fine with the car on the ground.
Shocks added no speed when upgraded.
Shocks help keep the wheels on the ground and improve traction.
What's the rpm of that motor?
Sorry, tried to look that up but can’t find the answer. Would have expected a higher speed from it though.

That is very slow for a 15t motor, that may not be a genuine item. Put the super stock rz in😂👍🏼
Have a super stock rz ready to go in later in the project. Agree, I was expecting a better speed. Maybe the ESC can’t handle it?

I agree Tamiya superstock tz motor
