    Thank you very much Vic for this important, basic, foundational layer. Here I have Rohiṇī (dhruva) as ascendant + Punarvasu (chala) as moon . I think there is some resonance between enduring and bouncing back. There is a mindset of cooperation and harmony between Aditi and Brahmā.I think....

    I love how my rising and moon are so harminous with each other. I have anuradha moon and pushya rising, they are overwhelmingly light nakshatras. Pushya is the protecter and nourisher, the bringer of knoweldge and the wise teacher with Anuradha being the symbol of universal love, unification, cooperation, and also both ruled by Saturn.

    Thanks. These videos are making the birth chart much clearer.
    one way they work together in terms of politics of jyestha, is that svati could be used to bait the 'enemy' to display a weakness. the svati's strength maybe flexibility due to being a bending flower. it can bend with the situation.
    I married into a family whose politics are different then mine, it has made me try not to be seen as clearly so as not to cause offence, but also where I am taking in information trying to get at the heart of the political difference. It's a somewhat difficult life cause I am different feeling then my partner and it's harder to connect sometimes.
    I guess it means that fundamentally if you have your two biggest aspects at odds then you will spend a lot of time fighting yourself before you can get on with the next thing. I want to stand out with the svati but i also want to be secretive with the jyestha so as to stay safer.

  • @frhythms
    @frhythms 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Wow. I have Ardra rising ... listening to you it kinda spooks me.
    Cancer rising makes my moon very powerful and it is a full moon in pisces (Purva Bhradapada), conjunct my midheaven and opposite my virgo uranus-sun-pluto-venus conjunction.
    I know that Vedic Astrology often does not acknowledge the outer planets ... but it all seems to come out in the end ... when I hear you speak of Ardra it makes me think of my pluto conjunctions... otherwise, I'm just a nice cancer rising, pisces moon, virgo sun kinda gal ....

    Question - why do we not take the ascendant moon and sun naksatra

  • @kohashiguchi1454
    @kohashiguchi1454 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hello Vic!
    In an odd comparison for Marilyn Monroe, her Ascending nakshatra was Ashlesha and her Chinese Hour Pillar was *SNAKE* hour. Snake hour meant she was always fighting for respect. Even Lawrence Olivier put her down as an "empty head" (not his words exactly). Sadly, her anxieties by that time made her rather unprofessional when she was filming "The Prince and the Showgirl", so Olivier wasn't completely out-of-bounds with his attitude.

    Vic: Thanks for sharing a new way of looking at relationships between grahas/ascendant. In your experience, can one apply this principle of resonance between the dasa lord nakshatra and the bukthi lord nakshatra also? That is, if there is good resonance between the dasa lord and the bukthi lord, then one can be more positive of favorable outcomes during that particular dasa-bukthi.

    • @VicDiCaraAstrology
      @VicDiCaraAstrology  7 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Yes! Resonance/Dissonance is to be applied EVERYWHERE. It is the key to understandsing every combination of symbols. Planets in signs, planets in houses, planets in nashaktras, etc. etc. dasha/bhukti lord, etc.

    Uttarashada and ashlesha are bitter and enduring. But seems like they would resonate a bit more than the other bitter and enduring combo. Thoughts?

  • @osheengupta788
    @osheengupta788 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hi Vic, my moon is in Uttarashada nakshatra and my ascendent is in jyestha, and I always have conflicts between having a deep want to do something for the group I was working in and gave them all the limelight by writing about them but at the same time felt empty cause I'm unable keep myself up for recognition in the same undertaking. But I always try to focus more on the unifying force that I feel is more of my element that feels like home to me and brings me absolute happiness maybe because of my moon being there. Thankyou, this was greatly illuminating.

  • @resident3460
    @resident3460 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    So if we use the musical analogy and the native has Moon in Revati in pada 1 and ascendant is in pada3 or 4 does that result in chorusing? Like a 12 string guitar? Would it be like a binaural beat of two padas? Or is it like two violins playing the same note? And what does Lagna in Lagnesh signify? I can't find any information.

  • @beenap9315
    @beenap9315 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    I am bitter sweet. Jyestha ascendent and mrigashira moon, aspecting each other by 180 degrees. Sun in magha. Moon makes me feel left out from the two powers. As a female, I do feel strong yet emotional like a typical woman. Do you have anything to say about my combination? The way I relate to opposing bitter sweet is by discriminative approach. I am sweet with the sweet and bitter with the bitter. I use both in combination too (nice and tough at the same time, strong and feminine at the same time, etc.) But, it is not an easy combination as I have experienced it.

  • @iakoyno.
    @iakoyno. 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Thank you! Such a good explanation! You mentioned (while you were talking about M. Monroe) that Ashlesha and Jyeshta - as moon and asc. would do something different. I'm trying to find out what would be the most common theme or tread in that combination?

    • @VicDiCaraAstrology
      @VicDiCaraAstrology  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      What are your thoughts/ intuition about it?

    • @iakoyno.
      @iakoyno. 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not quite sure but here it is my thought process: If for example a person has Asc. Jyeshta and Moon Ashlesha - both are bitter nackshatras, so they're resonant (i think it's something like this - throughout a lot of difficultes in life one will evolve) . They're resonant on power and strenght; pleasure; protection of those they love or they are responsible to; mysticism; spirituality. So could be - at his best - this person will not be satisfied just with seeking outside pleasure and power, will try constantly to improve oneself and to direct the strenght one possess to inward so this way to open oneself to the world of mysticism and true spirituality. But is this right?
      I love this resonance concept - somehow gives clarity!

    • @VicDiCaraAstrology
      @VicDiCaraAstrology  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ia Koyno very good! I think there is potential for a "tug of war" between "material" and "spiritual" desires but both nakshatra have both sides so it will go on parallel tracks. Or can support very different interpretation in different charts.

    • @iakoyno.
      @iakoyno. 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, "material" and "spiritual" desires on parallel tracks.
      I was thinking about Shesha - the truest Naga, who has no interest of being the king of the Naga, but rather prefer solitary and to serve Vishnu. And also Indra who makes so many mistakes from too much pride, but then try his best to correct them. It seems as though there is a kind of need for something higher or truthfulness...
      Thank you very much, Vic! I learn so much from your videos!

    • @VicDiCaraAstrology
      @VicDiCaraAstrology  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ia Koyno thank you! Shesha is found in uttarabhadrapada. Ashlesha are his kin. :)

    Vic, given I have asc Anuradha (sweet) and moon Jyestha (bitter), would this cause too big of a conflict? I know these two are generally considered very compatible when it comes to romance and friendship, but when it appears on the same chart as such (based on what's mentioned above) it must cause internal conflict, right? some of which I feel I've experienced.

    Your moon and asc are both manusha (human) nakshatras? Also, on your website, you mentioned Visakha is "general"... so would Visakha Asc and Moon Adra take on a bitter tone and have themes of splits. Shiva/shakti being one and Visakha's shakti to grow by splitting.

    • @VicDiCaraAstrology
      @VicDiCaraAstrology  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Manusya/Deva etc. is something for compatibility. IMO.
      Viśākhā Ārdrā stikes me as being very, very dedicated to destroying lies and problems. I would take it as Viśākhā's dedication is lent to Ārdra's desire to figure out truth and get rid of falsehood.
