The Real Truth About Nakshatras

  • What do they “do”? How are they related to signs? Why are they “wives”, and why is the Moon a “husband”? Are they all sisters? Are there 27 or 28? What do you need to know, to understand the individual nakṣatras? Do nakṣatras have planetary rulers, sexual animals, trī-guṇas, and puruṣarthas (kāma, artha, dharma, and mokṣa)?

    An interesting thing about the nakshatras is the number 27 - It takes Saturn around 27-29 years to return and Mars 27-29 months to return just as it takes the Moon 27-29 days to return. Astrological bodies work with the numbers of 12 or 27. The Sun takes 12 months to return and Jupiter 12 years to return.

    Omg Vic I was also thinking about that today how the man and woman have different body parts ones initiating and the others receptive. Both body parts need to conjoin in order to create life on earth. Therefore Man and women need each no matter how much society tries to push for everyone to be independent and not rely on the other.

    Discovered something new about Jyotish (Taittiriya Brahmana) from you :) So glad there is someone uncovering ancient, hidden knowledgeable, sharing and interpreting it with the world.
    The questions are really insightful asked by your guest and the explanation shared on the difference between Sun Signs and Lunar Mansions is sooo beautiful. It just makes more sense now with these perspective shared and completes the mental jigsaw puzzle for a newbie learning Jyotish. Looking forward to signing up for the course soon once I complete all the TH-cam videos.
    I like how you help understand concepts and break it down and make it so simple and uncomplicated/intimidating. (e.g. - to learn Nakshatras learn the ruling deity and their qualities. It give you the raw material to get started.)
    Concepts are really deep yet don't feel lost or overwhelmed.
    Yes it's earth shattering for sure :) Yayy!

      How can anyone think tropical is "true"
      It doesn't represent the actually sky. Not even in tune with God's creation. It's a tool within astrology like a moon chart. Every 72 years it slides a degree off from where it is now. So it's not possible for it to be sustainable even to the nakshaktras.

    Wow! Fundamental understanding Vedic Astrology. Clears lots of myths

  • @priyadashiniperakasam2879
    @priyadashiniperakasam2879 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    The way I understand is that moon represents mother and sun represents father. And Nakshatra represents woman's menstruation cycle. For example the day I was born is the day my mom had her first bleeding after nine months of pregnancy. For instance I was born on jyestha Nakshatra therefore I would most likely to bleed the opposite side of the Nakshatra which is Rohini. My ovulation starts where my ketu is placed which is Uttara Phalguni and which I conceive or not the decision lies on ketu and sun which falls on the Nakshatra Purva Bhadrapada. So the average menstruation cycle varies from one but is calculated between 21 to 35 days. This has certainly nothing to do with polygamy though I personally wouldn't mind

    • @priyadashiniperakasam2879

    Doesn't Rashi mean a "collection" or a "heap", since the rashis are collections of amshas (nakshatra padas as navamshas, dashamshas, drekkanas etc.) or a collection of nakshtras / cluster of stars and constellations?

    • @VicDiCaraAstrology
      @VicDiCaraAstrology  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That is what people say, but it is not accurate. Rāśī is a word from the root raj. This word means shine (as a result of having energy/power). Raśīs are collections or segments of the sunshine.

    A good question I think is 'does the phase of the Moon effect how it is influenced by the Nakshatra it is deposited in? In other words, 'if the phase of the Moon determines its strength and other qualities, how does the phase of the Moon modify its position in a Nakshatra?

    • @VicDiCaraAstrology
      @VicDiCaraAstrology  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      yes, this is an integral part of "panchanga" system. The way the phase interacts with the nakshatra creates specific "yogas"

    15:14 Maybe @Rabee Chowdhury refers to this fact when he says about Chinese nakshatras?
    16:55 So nakshatra analysis is just like looking at the whole thing - the individual chart - as a snapshot of the sky from the point of view of the moon/mind plane?
    48:28 Astrologers include dashas info into their readings. Why? Why, if it's possibly not based on authentic vedic astrology and just an intelligent justification of the guesswork (50:31)?
    54:01 - so all this talk about padas is just a complete nonsense? And it seemed so plausible ... 🤔
