      It made me concerned about Nacho’s dad. Obviously, Hector is still angry with Nacho, even after his death. Hector might still want revenge. This could mean Mike will have to give the dad the ID he retrieved from the safe. The dad might need to flee Hector.

    • @merp9211

      I think Mike was adamant about protecting Nacho’s dad, because he needs to establish that families are off limits. Mike doesn’t want his daughter in law or granddaughter to ever be involved with Gus’s business.

      @@horatiotodd8723 Yeah I saw it more as a dark comedic part of the episode. The cousins carrying Hector to the corpse and handing him the gun was so damn dark but funny at the same time.

    The way they closed out Nacho's story was basically perfection. A little early on, would have preferred for that to be like mid season or something. But other than that, they did a great job with how they handled it.

      As much as it felt too early for me too, it does highten my expectations for the rest of the season. If Nacho goes out in ep.3 , hopefully there is a hell lot more big stuff to come.

      You know l had to rewind the scene twice l just couldn't believe my eyes, a guy at work told he had to die for continuity purposes but l did not want to accept that.
      I really wanted to see him partner up with Mike further but at the same time he did die on his own terms so yeah bittersweet for sure.

    • @TM-lq1qf
      @TM-lq1qf 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@feliperios3496 what I don’t understand regarding the “continuity purposes” part is that in breaking bad Saul throws his name out to Walt and Jesse when they kidnap Saul - he is like “Ignacio, Lalo…”
      Why would he use Nacho’s name after he died unless he didn’t know he was dead? That is all I can think of; and apparently they are close to the overlap of the two shows this season…may actually be happening behind the scenes already.

    This Episode just broke my heart. I don't know why but Nacho's death just stuck with me more than any other TV death i have seen with the exception of Jax Teller from SOA. I think its the combination of hoping Nacho would get away, the guns would be loaded with blanks or they would miss his vitals and let him get away and him just putting the gun to his head knowing there is no way out. Even more heartbreaking with the fact that Nacho's body would probably never be returned to his father since even Mike left him in Salamanca hands, his father will never know his sons fate, and if he ever does, Hector made sure it would be a closed casket. Nachos fate just broke my heart

    At start his character for me didn't do much, I just didn't care for him at all, his only redeeming quality was his respect for his father. But somehow he grew on me and I genuinely felt bad for the guy who was stuck in such a horrible situation.
    I think writers did him justice though, basically giving him an entire episode to say goodbye.
    Kind of made me think, how lazy Dexter was killed off in that other show haha.

    I actually felt that Hector feebly shooting Nacho’s corpse was more empowering to Nacho than it was demeaning in a sense. He revealed to Hector how he ruined his life, and then robs him of revenge immediately after. Hector couldn’t be satisfied by merely shooting a corpse.

    What You should love is the fact that Hector is shotting at Nacha in Fury not because of the revaluation that he Switched the pills. But that Hector watched Nacho bathe in Happiness, Pride, and Pure Satisfaction to on top of that, go out on his own terms. Killing Himself with a Smile on his Face. Spitting Down on Hector and making him forever Know that he robbed him of the vengeful torturous filled anguish he would have given Nacho.
    Hector is in Anguishing Rage because the fact is; The Body his Shotting at is not
    Ignacio "Nacho" Varga anymore.
    It's just an Empty Vessel that Feels No Pain nor Emotion, the Soul that had occupied it had long sensed passed into a Peaceful Realm. Long before Hector's Bullets went Flying.
    Ignacio "Nacho" Varga
    "¿Qué es lo que quiero?, Respeto"
    In the end he Commanded Respect, Standing Tall where all Hector is in that moment is a Shell of a Man bound to a chair a Prisoner in his own Body.
    Que descanse en paz Ignacio.

    That was a tough pill to swallow with Nacho. I felt he was the strongest character in these first three episodes (by design) and that was as strong as an exit as you can do for him. His story this season was the most interesting and action packed and I’m enjoying the Jimmy/Kim storyline but the scam on Howard just doesn’t feel that epic for the final season.

    I'm still in shock kind of. I knew nacho was done for but my God. You know what, good for him. He went out like a G. On his own terms. But my God, hector unloading on his corpse. Just shows you how dark this universe really is. And him covered in that oil is a metaphor for his entire time on BCS. Just a sad story, but these characters make their own beds. They got to lye in it. And Mike's willingness to get Jesse out holds more weight cause he couldn't get that for Nacho. Nacho is in the game, his father isn't. That's Mike's line. Nacho had to go for Mike to be where he is with gus in BB. Questions is, what does Lalo uncover. Cause as of now in BCS, the cartel knows nothing of gus's lab. But in BB they know of it. So Lalo dies uncovering something and the cartel finds out about what gus has been doing. Great video Cody. So excited to talk about this show.

    I didn’t think they could keep Nacho around past this episode. From the beginning, Michael Mando has always been the most underrated actor in this show. His performance is so great, though. Nacho is the Jesse Pinkman of this series, and he is certainly a drug dealer, but he is right now the most innocent guy in the whole show, even compared to Kim and Saul. You don’t want his father to die. But I loved the way Nacho went out! And I’m concerned that Saul won’t be able to smooth-talk his way out of this situation.

    Also something else I thought about that is layered into this episode is the relationship between Nacho and Mike and Mikes backstory with what happened to Mikes son. And the pain that mike still carries with him. It is a part of his character that has been well written and it appears in various interactions with other characters like with Nacho and Nacho’s father.

    The fact that every other person in the scene is still alive in Breaking Bad told me instantly that Nacho wasn't going to survive.
    Him hiding in the oil was so symbolic of Nacho's entire character arc: going deeper and deeper into the life, every move he makes trying to get out only delaying the inevitable; getting dirtier and dirtier with his struggle to protect his father.
    I predict that there will be more story arc with his Nacho and his father, the Salamancas trying to force Senor Varga into the game. Nacho is likely to appear in some flashbacks. We all know being killed on a show like this doesn't mean you won't be back!

    I didn't expect it so soon, but given his absence from Breaking Bad, it was pretty unlikely he'd survive. But damn, did he go out like a badass: "When you're sitting in your nursing home drooling in that wheelchair, you think of ME!" Great episode. I thought Nacho went out on top, at least as much as he could at this stage. He protected his father and also died on his own terms. He was supposed to run, but he broke out of the zip ties and held them all in a tense standoff for awhile. He also let Hector know that he was the one responsible for him being in the wheelchair. That's why I saw Hector riddling him with bullets as Nacho's triumph. They never got the chance to torture him, so they were taking it out on his body. If this was just episode 3, just imagine what we have in store for the rest of the season. Love this show.

    Hey Cody! I have a suggestion for a topic of discussion on a future video... I noticed alot of religious symbolism around Nacho in this episode in particular. Nacho "baptized" in oil, various shots of him with a "halo" above his head, his shirt was a huge giveaway. And even his speaking with his father shortly before he sacrificed himself. Lots more too. I loved your review; I do disagree about them not using Nacho enough throughout the show-I kind of see it in terms of the hierarchy and importance to the cartel and also future events in breaking bad. He did get quite a bit of air time each season…from him scamming the guy who would sell them pills 💊 to the stuff with him and Saul and more.
    Hard to give any characters enough air time when the main focus should be and is - around Saul/Kim. I also think the amount of time on Mike has been good too.
    The guy should get an Emmy for his performance (Mike Mando)

      @@CodyLeachYT It just doesn't add up. What's also weird is that the cartel distrusts Gus so much but at the same time is pretty naive on him and buys all of his bullshit, no matter how staged it looks. I mean, the cousins were so close behind Nacho but then it's Gus who catches him to tell them his story. Same in season 5 with the meth lab. Like Lalo wouldn't tell Bolsa about the south wall and that Gus story can't be true. Everyone's always praising the "brilliant writing" but with the last episode it starts to feel kind of weak. I'm actually quite dissappointed.

      @@Schweinskopfsuelze86 I get your confusion, but it’s not that the Salamancas “Believe” Gus. They just can’t do anything about it because they have zero concrete proof that Gus is acting in anyone’s interests other than Eladio’s. That’s why they don’t do anything because, without proof, there’s nothing TO do. I think this makes perfect sense and is therefore good writing because the character’s actions are sufficiently justified by cause and effect.

    • @fictionnerd78
      @fictionnerd78 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I definitely get why people are confused about this, but Gus’s plan was to get himself killed by the Salamancas. Tyrus gives Nacho a gun and tells him to shoot anyone who comes up to the door. After that, he then leaks Nacho’s location to the Salamancas. The plan, in theory, was for Nacho to die in a shootout and for the Salamancas and the Cartel to assume that Nacho was a mole working for the Los Odios Cartel in Peru. It was only after Nacho managed to escape that he convinced Gus that there was a better, safer option.

    Amazing episode…a few questions: what exactly was Mikes plan with the sniper rifle? I was guessing a mercy kill but wouldn’t that alert the Salamancas that something was up and undermine the whole plan?

    I'm shocked but also not shocked. I was hoping that this would be the episode that introduced the vacuum repair shop. I really wanted Nacho and his father to get away. They could've definitely used old audio of Robert Forster (RIP), which I'm sure is what they're gonna do when the time comes.
    I'm really looking forward to some overlap with Season 1 of Breaking Bad.

    This doesn't make sense.
    Saul in breaking bad assumed Lalo kidnapped him. And He said "it wasn't Me it was Ignacio"
    Nacho and Saul haven't met. And Saul doesn't know anything about what happened.

    • @fictionnerd78
      @fictionnerd78 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I get your question, but Saul and Nacho DID meet twice, both in S1 and in S5. And while Saul doesn’t know about Nacho’s death (Or maybe he does, it’s never confirmed), he assumes Lalo or someone related to Lalo has kidnapped him as revenge for Lalo’s attempted assassination. That’s why he acts the way he does. He’s blaming Ignacio because he assumes that’s the basis of his kidnapping.

    I'm not buying Nacho's father all of the sudden being safe now. After Nacho told Hector that he was the reason for his stroke, Hector should be itching for revenge, and shooting a corpse isn't going to cut it, he would naturally order a hit on Nacho's father

    I for one am getting tired of the show dedicating so much fucking time to the Sandpiper case and this petty juvenile grudge match between Jimmy and Howard. And it seems even more petty and insignificant as a backdrop to Naho's epic ordeal in these first three episodes. Hopefully the rest of the season doesn't waste too much more time on this.
