    I was sitting with my roommate last night at the dinner table and I asked them ”Have you ever felt that life was a dream? I feel like one day ill open my eyes and I'll be in the age of like 3-4 years old..”
    Do you think until that age we don't contract things yet? As we barely learning language?
    Are we construction things when we are learning our language and start calling things - things?

    Dr. Deepak Chopra is a highly evolved person; brilliant physician who integrates all aspects of the human being to bring it into balance and wellness; has done lots of great work to improve the physical, mental, and spiritual condition of so many people by different means such as books, lectures and being director a wellness clinics; he always has great insights because he is so Knowledgeable. Dr. Deepak is a very accomplished person. His books are all great. Any one who has the audacity in posting any negative comments about him is just an ignorant not evolved creature; perhaps someone who dislikes foreigners and their foreign accents; others are just jealous of his world-wide success.

      Nah man its just your delusions about this guy. He thinks atoms have consciousness. He also "integrates" words that sound sciency such as quantum and other words like that to make his stuff sound legit. Sure he has gotten his degrees and all that stuff but some of things he claim and say are complete and utter bullshit. There's not a single prominent scientist out there that believes anything this fraud says

    OMG I was thinking about this I swear not even a week or so ago....That nothing exists except what our own mind tells us exists at that moment....and now I am hearing it from Deepak...because I have made this possible in my mind...or universe I am in. Nothing exists until it exists in my mind at that moment.....When you find this place and what Deepak is talking about it really makes sense.

      Yes, everything and everyone you see is your creation which you control completely. It is your universe and everyone you see are just visitors to your universe to help by interacting with you, as you do the same in their universe ...
      This is very complex for the linear mind to comprehend, and many times impossible to accept. The ego of course will never accept it, or it will distort it for its own purposes ...

    Fabulous! The ultimate wake up call! All that each of us experiences is made up by each of us depending on our conditioning from culture, family, childhood.
    Those of us in similar culture, religion, economic status have generated similar experiences. Our individuality shows up as we discern (create) differently according to our unique perception. Collectively & individually we create concepts that form the dream we are living. Yet who is the dreamer? What is the point & source of the dream? When we wake up to who we really are, collectively, we can & will creat an entirely new experience.

    Deepak inspired me to drop out of a prestigious medical school where the students were all quite open about the fact they were there for the money and prestige. I kept asking the professors 'what about the mind', they just gave me the goldfish look. I dropped out and got on a plane to himalayas, spent years working for masters and tibetan medicine projects. Questions answered.

IMO love exists caring and compassion which are forms of love..exists. people exist dogs cats all living beings exist. even thoughts exist if they are created through power of life IE chi, the holy spirit, atman, to native Americans the great spirit. obviously most living being are different or diverse forms of life on earth. IMO all of these exists even though the forms aren't eternal. the dog that wants to lick your face and wags his tail vigorously when greeting you IMO are all real.

    Can't say I agree with his analysis completely but I think everyone who has watched this clearly get something resonating within them. Only part I disagree with is his understanding of reality being none existing. For if I die my experience of the universe is gone too but that does not mean that the universe is gone... That is like saying if I cover my hand with a towel my hand is gone. It is not gone it is hidden from my perception. My analysis would be that when we did we simply lose our ability to perceive the universe as a physical form. Therefore what is left is nothing or something we can not yet comprhend.

    So, if nothing exists and "reality" is just a social construct, doesn't that logically follow that Deepak's worldview and understanding of "consciousness" is a social construct as well? Wouldn't this mean that the philosophy of consciousness is non-existent and only comes from a social construct that he and his cohort have come up with or been taught by others who are also influenced by social constructs?

    • @once4all125
      @once4all125 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      True, we should take everything with a grain of salt as we are temporary forms of this world and nothing is absolute. But the bottom line probably of what he's saying is that we create our own universe through the social constructs we choose to follow and because nothing is absolute in this world, our own navigation in this world (which may be influenced by our environment) is what makes things "absolute" for us.

      The Vedic knowledge from which Deepak speaks is ancient. It is /relatively/ real. Knowing what the universe actually is or is not does not mean we can ‘quit’ the game. I mean, of course you can take your life at any time, but isn’t it better to help others and alleviate their suffering as Deepak attempts to do?

    Very wonderful short talk and It's now even more clear to me that our whole human body is like a mental and emotional receiver who integrates and interpret universal consciousness. Each individual uses their own perceived (bandwidth) understanding what is true for them. That is where the collaboration level s of consciousness comes into, which creates the illusion of separatism because we all are having a different human experience.

    Deepak Chopra is a deeply admired and inspiring person to me. But in this talk I can't find the clue. Nothing is caused by nothing and effects nothing.
    A doctor who saves lives does the most valuable job of all. I am a biology teacher. My thirty years of teaching were also a contribution to what
    Deepak calls nothing. Let's awake to what? Nothing? Let's love become the feeling between people and make them aware of the wonder of life. Thats the goal.

    • @mikefoster5277
      @mikefoster5277 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Don't forget that the "nothing" Deepak refers to is only a word. A word he is using to point to 'something' that cannot be thought of, understood or even talked about. In other words, don't take the descriptive term itself too literally and seriously, and end up making a mental construct out of it. What he is attempting to point to is beyond mental constructs.
      The goal of love between people that you talk of is a most noble and desirable one, but one which seems unlikely to be achieved through our current human modes of thinking, perceiving and behaving. Surely what people need therefore, in order to achieve that most desirable of goals, is a common denominator - something we can all see and believe in _together?_
      What might that common denominator be? Well, it would clearly have to be something very common, very obvious, very universal, very experiential, very pure in nature - something that cannot be changed or manipulated in any way; something we could all agree on. Can you think of anything that satisfies all of the above criteria any more accurately than Deepak's _"nothing"?_

    • @birgitklober2064
      @birgitklober2064 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@mikefoster5277 Thank you for your attempt to explain "nothing " to me. This discussion is absurd. Maybe it is what Eckart Tolle calls "awareness".

    • @EternalLoveBliss

      @@birgitklober2064 Emptiness, here called nothing, is not an idea or a construct.
      This can be easily checked by simply looking more closely at what you think is the world, yourself and the person, sensory experiences, body awareness, feelings and thoughts.
      What is a thought made of? What substance does it have? Try to reach for one of the experiences, can you acquire one single thing?

  • @ThomasGodart

    10:11 "there is no experience that is not recorded in the brain and ultimately that doesn't have an imprint in the body": I can see why a doctor would see things in that light, but on the stand point of a physicist it's wrong simultaneously on multiple levels: 1/ you can't interact with what is not at your scale (bacteria, ant, person, mountain, planet, star, galaxy, etc...), 2/ you can't tell if your body has "all" the possible senses of perception, which means that if you don't measure something then you can't tell it's there (blind person vs light waves, deaf person vs sound waves, normal person vs vital energy, flat earth vs spherical planet, etc...)

    It's very difficult if not impossible to find one language to sufficiently and efficiently communicate with everyone in the world. If you don't have the mental ability to accept an idea, or at least consider it, then much like a person who is colour blind, you'll never experience it. To become a great visual artist, maybe you NEED the colour red, but not to become a great physician, or gardener, or compassionate neighbour. Work deeply with what you HAVE and try not to deny others their experiences of what they DO have.

    I feel that 'Construct' is not the right word. From my experiences in life, and believe me, even though I have no qualification, I have had an extraordinary life experience, we awaken to what we already know but have not yet become aware of, so 'Awaken' is probably a better word. There's an old saying that ' nothing's ever new under the sun'. I think that this old saying sums it up perfectly. Not only are we ourselves waking up, but we are helping each other to awaken, such as: one person may come up with a new idea, which in turn, may trigger off an even greater new idea from someone else who sees it or hears about it. Right now this process is moving faster by the minute among humankind globally. But the potential for all these new ideas, technologically or otherwise, has always existed, including the energy sources that we harness etc to achieve making our ideas become a reality, especially in our physical selves or environment. Humans are different to all the other creatures because we have the potential to change our poisons into medicine, change our bad karma mad by our past and present bad causes, into good karma by making good causes. When we look back at what we think we know about human history, based on what appears to be apparent, it almost seems like humans were placed here with little or no idea of how to survive. However, through thousands of years of struggling and awakening, we have learned so much by observing the other creatures, who appear to have no ability to change other than what Nature has decided of them. We've learned how to fly by observing birds for one of just many examples. But the birds didn't come down and teach us, they just helped us to awaken what we already knew that we could do. Nichiren taught that this planet is a world of suffering and only one of many more like it scattered throughout the physical universe, which each have their own rivers, mountains, suns and moons etc. He also explains that we have been born into this world of suffering (Saha world) and not somewhere better or worse due to the good and bad causes that we've made in past lives, and that this is a world of opportunity for us to change our bad karma - he also tells us that sadly most people born here will instead be motivated by their bad karma to make even more bad causes, destroying this world of opportunity in the process. Well, looking at the mess we have made and continue to name of this planet so far, I'd say he's hit the nail right on the head. And yes he was right about his description of this world too - nothing on it can avoid suffering - the fact that everything living on it, including rust, mould bacteria and viruses etc, need to destroy something else in order to sustain an ongoing existence is proof. And the other scary thing is, regardless of how much we may awaken to, karma can always have the final say. Even the most brilliant people on earth have the potential to lose it all in a matter of seconds as a result of a stroke or accident etc. There are some amazingly intelligent and successful people who have no idea about these things. While many desire to use their knowledge to help others less fortunate, in today's world of superstars that exist in every category, including medical science, there are many who are primarily motivated more by the fame and fortune their abilities afford them. The universal law of Cause and Effect will always have the final say, no matter who we are - what we have - or how brainy we appear to be. Hmmm, yes we are experiencing the past, but what about those amongst us who experience the future before it happens, something I myself have done with absolute accuracy. One example being a dream I had in 1990 about what happened in NY on September 11, including a message that came at the end of the dream... 'The system as it is now known will never be the same again'. Nichiren taught that we are physical copies of the planet, but spiritual copies of the entire universal life-force and all that exists within it, past, present and future. That we are all each other... that the only differences between us or our conception of all that's around us are our various karma content. And until we awaken to this fact and learn to tap into our Buddha Nature (Wisdom -Enlightened state) our karma will continue to eat us away like cancer... So let's wake up to the underlying cause above all else... Nam-Myoho-Renge-Kyo, if applied correctly, is the key for anyone to successfully do this...

    What is the name of the book that Deepak Chopra is reading (mentioned around 16:20 min) ?

  • @PYRAMIDHEAD1051
    @PYRAMIDHEAD1051 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    I can prove his theory that he described for 26:09 min is flawed with a simple question.
    If consciousness can construct only things from what it is aware and If everything we perceive that is physical /tangable is a construct of consciousness and it is not real , what would happen if someone would turn off the power to his microphone without anyone's knowledge ? Would Deepak & his audience still here Deepak's voice from speakers in the auditorium ?

    • @thisisthetruth4525
      @thisisthetruth4525 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Of course they will know that, Because that "Someone" who turned off the Mic was also Conscious. Consciousness is same in everybody so when Consciousness is aware while performing the action of switching off the Mic, it was the same consciousness that was within others which was aware of the change.

    What exactly are you waking up to? An experience? What did you tell the people really? That your brain is past tense in the most confusing way possible. Nice.... ya no this experience you speak of is the experience of being a lesser form of a spiritual being in a lesser dimension (3D). And so everything around is just what it is. Man made. And everything around you before man isn’t a repeating version or parallel version of what already is. But a test with a test guide. There isent another version of you out there in a diffrent reality there are only spiritual body’s that came from the same place you did. GOD. Intuitions arnt a faded memory from a past life where you made the same mistake. But a spirit using your physical self as a vessel to communicate with your soul. The most high. Amen

    I’ve come to an important question (to me) in my desire to awaken, and that is, why has it taken humanity to learn or awaken to these constructs which Yogis have known for thousands of years? Not that there has ever been a past or any yogis, in fact, I’m beginning to be afraid that I’m the only person who actually exists in this dark matter.
    :(

    • @mikefoster5277
      @mikefoster5277 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Dianne - You _are_ indeed the only one that exists. Not as a person though. But as _all_ people. In fact as the whole universe itself, including even the dark matter. Instead of being a problem however, your solitude is actually something rather beautiful, because you get to choose just how involved (or otherwise) you wish to be, at any given moment, within this wonderful construction of yours we call existence.

      If you really understand intellectually, it's a beginning, if you know and see what your real identity is, it's called enlightenment.
      BTW: You are scared because you think you are the finite, limited and separate entity Dianne. The individual, the ego in thinking, is always consciously or unconsciously looking for its source, for wholeness.

  • @bjorndal62

    Dearest Deepak please "where" is the collective conrsciousness in this non constructed context ?

    • @mikefoster5277
      @mikefoster5277 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      It is everywhere and nowhere at the same time. The constructed and non constructed contexts are merely two sides of the same proverbial coin. They both exist together; right here, right now, as we speak. Their meeting point is this here now. But this can never be grasped by the mind. The mind is always one step behind; hopelessly thinking that it is operating in real time and, even worse, that it is in control of proceedings. Hence the title of Deepak's talk - "Let's wake up!"

    • @bjorndal62
      @bjorndal62 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Mike Foster I have to reHEAR the speech ......
      My gut feeling to your "answer" though is that you reframed my q in a duality context.

    • @mikefoster5277
      @mikefoster5277 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Bjorndal Jensen Well clearly, any verbal or written question and answer are going to be exchanged in a 'duality context' - how else could they be delivered and understood (especially over the internet)?
      The point I was making (using mere limited language, of course) is that the dual context is not different nor separate from the non dual context; but rather that they operate as one - each both containing and reflecting the other simultaneously. Where? Here. When? Now.
      In other words, the very experience we are having right at this moment, is in nature both dualistic and non-dualistic at the same time. So before I had even provided my response therefore, your original question had _already_ divided this reality into a 'duality context' by referring to the "non constructed context" in isolation!

    • @bjorndal62
      @bjorndal62 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Mike Foster I'll allow myself to dis- and agree simultaniously - so for "the time being" happy New Year and let me know if you so happend to be in Copenhagen. :)

    Ah, Buddhist "Science." The idea that the Universe is made of "nothing" is reminiscent of the Buddhist idea of 'Emptiness." And the idea of impermanence. The Buddhists are not stupid; they mean, empty of what we perceive as "permanent, or everlasting." One day we have a home, and next day an earthquake brings it to rubble. Buddhism is Deepak's new love. As usual, a huge mish mash of distorted scientific ideas of Space and matter, Buddhism etc etc. All his talks revolve around what he calls "Reality." The Hindu Vedas talked thousands of years ago advising us to go "From the unreal to the Real." He never really defines what "Reality" is.

    • @peacefulisland67

    Many years ago I found Deepak delightful and expanding to my consciousness but then he got starstruck by Hollywood and began being pompous and know it all and even pontificating politically. To me he is full of himself, little self that is, and does not walk the talk of Self, which can be very confusing. But his words ring true for me, that we are fictional characters in a dream of fictional characters. Deepak, please keep this in mind when you call Trump contemptuous psychological labels as if it were true and you are right. This fictional character is very disappointed with this story.
