Someone has really gotta tell Skinner that unless it’s 100% necessary… Stay in your crease…. Especially to come out in front of the net. That was a completely unnecessary leaving of the net, he did not have to do that. The Jets player would not have reached the net before the Oilers caught up with him. Going that far out in front your net after the puck is a last resort (and a very risky one even when necessary)

@brianjones7660 Apparently, from what I've seen, Scheifele took McDavid down hard in this game. Some want Scheifele destroyed for it. I saw the clip but it just looks like normal hockey where both players went down awkwardly.

Edmonton is the Leafs minor league team. Hyman, Campbell. And by the way, Mcdavid will be a Leaf. It was his favourite team growing up and he lives in the 6 during the summer. I see him at Hearts and Boots every year and saw him in Muskoka with Draisaitl this past summer. They were having lunch in Gravenhurst

I say it for years, do the Oilers really think they can win the cup without Goaltending, and a weak, but epensive D? I think it is pretty dumb. And with a weak Management you won't have success.
This is what happens to the Oilers when they aren't spoon fed a ton of power plays every game... This club is a 1 trick pony with no depth... Word is McDavid suffered an upper body injury and might be out of the lineup next week for a few games....
It genuinely feels like all they do at practice is work on powerplays then get off the ice again. There's absolutely no system on defence just a lot of u10 chase the guy with the puck plays.

It's never the management who makes the player decisions. In this case, the management who for the last 12 years has said, "Will win a Cup with NO good goalie or defense". Then they fire the coach who had NO say in it.
