Regarding DEF, doesn’t really bother me too much, just more of a pain when you use the jugs. Bigger question I have, would like to understand the overall environmental impact of having DEF in just about every diesel built in the last 10-ish years. Think about, chemical plants need to blend synthetic ammonia, then mix with purified water, then they need to use plastic to make the bottles, then most put the bottles in another cardboard container, then a truck needs to burn fuel to ship those containers to warehouses and then from there, shipped to retailers. Not as much of an issue for bulk DEF at truck stops, but it still needs to be made and transported, then companies needed to build and install DEF pumps. Bottom line is, all of those have environmental impacts. So think of that vs. the emissions from a well controlled modern diesel (not talking about the garage tuned coal rollers), would be interested to see that, to really understand the effect on the environment. I can also tell you as someone that has travelled to China many times, you do not want to live in a country that doesn’t control exhaust emissions, visiting there for the first time in 2003, you couldn’t even breathe, air quality was so bad. Now that they’ve cracked down on emissions, it’s made a difference for sure.
Hey, Jesse enjoy your videos. I'm in the process of buying a new 2022 diesel truck. I have 2003 F250 7.3 currently and don't need that DEF stuff. I know buying a new truck I'm going to need to buy DEF 😭. How often do you need to fill up with DEF? Thank you
Thanks for watching. It just depends on towing. Fords have a larger tank which is nice. Towing we feel up every 1000+. Empty we could go probably 3-5000 I am guessing.
I have a 3/4 ton Dodge diesel. We pull our 9,000 travel trailer about 3000 miles per year. We drive another 16,000 per year without the trailer. I believe I have to refill the DEF once every 4 months. Hope that is helpful!
Same for me most of the time. We have been towing a lot recently and burnt a bunch but no big deal. Have you had any problems with your dodge because of DEF? Our Ram was awesome never had any problems because of it.
Thank you all for the advice. I'm looking to purchase a new 2022 Dodge 3500 Big Horn crew cab truck. I haven't bought a truck in 20 yrs and my current truck I have now has done me well but its time for a new one. I just didn't how often you have to fill up with Def. I will be towing an 11,500 5th wheel trailer from California through Utah a lot. We love camping in Utah.
Need to get there before the whole thing dries up.
Yeah I sure hope not.

I agree on most of your points. I had made many of them but edited them out because Kara said I was rambling too much 😂. Thanks for watching.
Was it noisy in your spot? I’ve read reviews say it’s noisy on that side by the entrance…
@@stacyschlobohm129 no but it was pretty empty.
What side of Antelope Point RV Park offers the best views?
All the views are pretty good but the left of the entrance will give you more view of the lake.

where can I get that same color hair dye - is it called "progressive leftist purple"?!
Thanks for watching. We are both registered republicans so I don’t understand why you want to take a shot at us like that.
