Looks like a good chassis. Did you have a look at the m2c chassis and upgrades? that just bash it chassis is very nice is it 7075 aluminum? And i agree i bought the kraton 8s A month ago and wen i hurd about the updates they are doing on the new one coming out i am a bit pist of that they didn't send a mail to owners to provide them with these updates 🤔☹️ Anyways that's my opinion See you Saul 👍👌✌️💪👊

RC Maxx UK when arrma released there v4 radio it’s was dangerous then they released the upgraded one for the infraction still range issues k8 has range and delay issues I can’t see this one being and better and looking at the new braces it won’t help the way my chassis bent It mite hold up a tiny be better
We was having exactly the same convo and yes they should send out the amended parts to previous buyers absolutely. They know they fucked up with this truck and rush released it so do the honourable thing Arrma, it won’t do theyre reputation any harm

I received my 8s Kraton about 2 weeks ago but haven't even opened the box yet as I'm waiting for batteries to arrive. When did they start sending them out with upgraded parts? Not sure if mine is likely to have them. I don't even know what the old and new parts look like?
Hi mate. i am not sure wether the new cars have them now or they are coming. sorry. You could contact the supplier and ask? if i were you i would find out before opening it and if its not the updated version send it back and say that's the one you want!
I wish they would do 2 versions, the cheap option and the upgraded option, chassis, towers, all that good stuff. I would pay good money for upgraded one.
ARRMA stated that they don't have the tooling budget to mass produce chassis with CNC. So a CNC'd chassis from them is no option, their words: "The aftermarket guys will step in and fill the gaps". Doesn't take away that the chassis shouldn't bend with normal use. But that's the catch, what is normal use?. The fixes seem logical, let's just wait and see if it solves the problem some of us are having. I haven't had a bent chassis yet, but I don't jump a lot so that was to be expected.
Nice videos man! Just found your channel today. I bought this truck as my first Arrma truck and after driving it for 10 minutes it broke. Threaded a screw in the steering mechanism. Since then it broke again doing its first big jumps. Already costing more and more money to keep running. Haven’t bent the chassis yet but I assume it will happen very soon from what I’ve witnessed on other channels like yours. Seriously unimpressed that they have upgraded it after 3months and will probably put me off buying another Arrma truck unless they send me the updated parts. I purchased it on the release day and certainly won’t make that mistake again with Arrma! Let me know how you claim goes, we should all band together and make some noise about how this car was not released in a fit state for bashing!
I got mine on its release date here in blighty. I have spent lot on mine already. It would be reasonable & good customer care for Arrma to supply new updated parts. Braces, Radio etc.. For people like us who bought the first run of this K8S! Especially considering how much this RC cost.....That JBIRC Chassis is stunning 👌 7075 Aluminum?

Ahh the old arrma benton 8s 🤣 could you imagine how much jip traxxas would get if you had to spend 150 smackers on an upgraded chassis almost straight away lmao, im with you on the mixed feelings about the updated versions coming out so thick and fast i fell in the same trough with the 6s line up and a new version was released straight after i purchased and with how long they state each model takes to design, I'm almost sure they already have the designs down on the V2, v3 ect on release of the v1!? Also i tried to get parts on warranty like servo and motor wires melting off at the bullets straight away without any success and being told they weren't under the warranty by wheelspin models so hope you have better luck than me and my mate did 👍
@@RCmaxxUK true story mate, between the stock electronics and the chassis braces issue I was done. I fixed all of them and Lee at CRCU is now the proud owner, I couldn't even look at the thing I was so irritated let alone bash it!
It sucks that it bends and it should of being up to the job out of the box but it looks like armma are trying to sort it out, and would pay 949 pound for a x max the day I don't have to pay 150 pound for a max6 esc
Mac T I already had the max5 esc from my v1 6s Xmaxx. ( though the std esc worked I didn’t like the hesitation it seemed to have and was concerned about fires as some had gone up in smoke) ... so when I got the 8s I tried the std esc but thought after a run it 2 why am I not using the max5? I don’t see a problem with the std 8s esc tbh. But yeah I get your point👍
For the amount of money it cost the chassis should not bend that easy. They should send you the new upgrade parts at no cost. They are a good company so I do not see this being a problem.
Damn this hobby is expensive. I saw this coming miles away and its just another reason to avoid first production rc models. Personally, I'll keep ma money...
hmmm. i don't know mate. I agree but on the traxxas point i know in the US at least their warranty is quite good. my wheels rims were cracking on my v1 xmaxx during the winter use just after it was released and they replaced them with a full set foc on a warranty claim
Just bash it Chasis are absolute junk. DO not buy them. these bend too easily. Same garbage quality as Stock Arrma 7075 alumnium . Get bashing bar or M2c racing chasis

RC Maxx UK I’ve had loads of rc vehicles, and as soon as I saw the layout and how it was braced I knew it would bend.
If arrmor send out parts to reconcile the damage i think thats more than fair. Companies like traxxas wouldn't do that
