-May cointain spoilers- Increíble serie, me tuvo en vilo hasta el final, porque después de todo esa última partida fue ejecutada con maestría por Flash. "7 consecutive things have to happen in order for a plane to crash" - just read about this from Malcolm Gladwell's book, "Outliers," today. That's so weird.
Really sad Action didn't just hold his main against the harass and decided to walk the lings across the map after intercepting the first vulture. Losing drone after drone due to something so simple ended the series in a very anti-climactic way.
he did wall off (35:06), his barracks was at the ramp at first. Depots don't get put at the ramp in BW because they can't be lowered and also because its harder to control units in BW. Walling off seems more important at the natural. You'll see PvZ games where P always makes a ling tight wall, Ts will get bunkers at the natural

Walling off seems more important at the natural. You'll see PvZ games where P always makes a ling tight wall, Ts will get bunkers at the natural
Even if he had done that, the vultures would have simply harassed the natural instead. No, the correct play was to keep blocking the upper corridor with 2 hydra and 2 lings, instead of going for that dumb ling counter-attack that left the main exposed.
I feel this series was a terrible throw by Action. He showed that he had the ability to beat Flash in a macro game. The two games that went to hive / vessel tech were (surprisingly, you may argue) convincing wins for Action. Flash actually looked really weak today; I don't know if he was sick or something. And yet, Action managed to lose the series by giving Flash free wins with unnecessary all-in plays (ling rush in game 4, 2 hatch lurker rush in game 2). Why would you gamble your series on all-in plays when, as I said, you showed that you were consistently outplaying your opponent in standard macro games? If anything, Flash was the one who seemed like he would need to resort to such desperate tactics (as he actually did in game 5). Even in game 5, Action had perfectly defended against Flash's rush, until he blundered his position by sending lings out and consequently allowing the vultures to get into his mineral line. He had countered the double bunker rush; he had countered the vulture rush without losing a single drone. The game was 80/20 Action favoured until he, again, unnecessarily tried to kill the one-base Flash with a ling attack instead of consolidating his winning position. Flash wouldn't have won a macro game after that opening. There are series you lose because your opponent simply played better - and there's not much you can do about it. Here, Flash basically didn't have to do anything. Action just beat himself with his own moves.
I beleive that he thought that there way no way Flash would send more vultures from that tight spot, so he send his lings to pressure and delay the expansion, while keeping an eye on any vulture/marine coming in (if not, that would indicate a wraith followup). He should have at least kept a few lings with the hydras to block for a while and make 1 or 2 more hydras if he scouts a starport in 1 base guess. Game 2 was a throw, but in game 4 he had no much options. He got his gas delayed and he would have a hard time against mech in that map with so low amount of bases available. Not saying that he couldnt win in a macro game, but it would not be the same as game 1 or 3.
@Spawn "Flash could win the first game if he moved his marines/medics up to the hill," I'm not sure what you are talking about exactly. Can you give me a time stamp? "he could win the third game if he spotted the third base earlier (absolutely no defense)" Action built a Nydus relatively fast, and before that, he had Flash contained with his lurkers. Flash never really had a good opportunity to attack that base. Plus, the fact that he didn't scout it is just a consequence of Action's good contain. By the time Flash broke through and regained map control, the Nydus was already up. "In the last game, he tried to go macro, but it didn't work out because of awesome harassment from Flash." Absolutely not. He didn't try to go macro, and that's the problem. As I said, Flash's harassment did absolutely nothing until Action tried to counter-attack at 02:09:12. Until that point, Action hadn't lost a single drone, and had a good lead to go into macro play. At this moment, he tried to counter-attack with the lings, and that's when the vultures got in.
@@hiei49 For game 5, you're right: if he had just kept two lings to block between the hydralisks, the vulture wouldn't have got in, and the harass snowball wouldn't have started. For game 4, I'm not so sure. I agree that Action wouldn't have been in a lead coming into a macro game. But at the same time, Flash himself was a bit delayed by his own gas/natural steal. He got his natural a bit late. I think that Action would have had a much better chance with Mutalisk play than with that ling all-in. He could have got 9 Mutalisks before Flash had a full control group of goliaths. Muta harass, get a third while Terran is contained, get hive tech, and Zerg has a decent chance in that game. It's hard for Terran to get a third on this map. Not a free win for Zerg by any means, but still much better than that unrealistic ling all-in.

you didnt pay attention, flash had a lot of vessels, so he could easily take out lurkers + build his army up. Action lost like 7-8 drones, which put him too far behind so he went all in
Remember, Action has best ZvT in the world. So of course it was going to be close. In saying that -- Flash certainly looked like he was having an off-night. Maybe playing too much protoss these days.
Not to take anything away from Action's great play, but as a long time flash viewer it was pretty obvious flash is far from his god form. Just too much sloppy control. Nonetheless, made for an absorbing series so gg!
Do you understand how ZvT works? FlaSh gotten so many vessels, he just sits and freely kills lurkers with irradiate and then kills Action with marine and medics.
Sotanath86q all he had to do was not move all his lings across the map. He let flash continually rally those vultures in rather than blocking it. It doesn’t mean action wins but he doesn’t lose ten drones to the vulture play and the game looks very different. Think about how easy it would be to abuse guardians and mutas on that map. Flash played cheese because he couldn’t let it go to late game.
Yeah, these were the weakest games I've seen from Flash in a while. He lost two macro games. Although even then, there was still one moment that was ridiculously impressive, which was in game 2 at 1:10:50 when Action set up the lurker contain after the failed attack, and Flash just broke out way sooner than expected and killed all three lurkers with minimal losses. Action clearly didn't see this coming since otherwise, he would've moved them. I bet every other Terran pro would have stayed put for longer there. Nonetheless, Flash better has a stronger showing vs Queen/larva or he'll lose.

In saying that -- Flash certainly looked like he was having an off-night. Maybe playing too much protoss these days.
yeah buddy
lol the end tho why go up the ramp omg
Very good match. But
SPOILER
I'm sad for the way Action played the last battle. He could win and just made noob mistakes, instead.
Moving his lings from 12oclock cheese choke cost him the game
Mafia zerg going in 🤣
No entiendo por que action dio el gg en la 4ta partida,
Not to take anything away from Action's great play, but as a long time flash viewer it was pretty obvious flash is far from his god form. Just too much sloppy control. Nonetheless, made for an absorbing series so gg!
lol how zick metachanging in 2k20
flash Did a mistake on the set5...
45:50 Hold position mind.
is this rigged or something? Too early to quit
he went all in and knew it would be pointless going on against the BW God
Do you understand how ZvT works? FlaSh gotten so many vessels, he just sits and freely kills lurkers with irradiate and then kills Action with marine and medics.
Artosis and Tasteless always give Zerg shit for early game cheese and that’s exactly how this series was decided......Action in Macro what a legend!
God is God, not Flash stop being so disrespectful
what the cinnamon toast ...
31:10 , 01:02:00 , 01:18:00 . 01:45:00
Action looked so smart and so stupid in game 1.
JessTheMess ur comment looks stupid and is stupid
GG! Flash God of starcraft!
Thx for the spoiler man
@@bandler85 I downvoted him so his comment gets buried, I hope others do, as well.
@@bandler85 you gotta avoid comments before watching the whole thing, it was hard but its a must lol
that last map is SO broken lol. Zerg has no chance
