    You're so inspiring!! I watched all of the season of the GBBO that you're on and it made me want to learn how to bake even more than I already did!

    Hi from Los Angeles Chetna! I am such an adoring fan of the GBBO and most recently your channel!, As a Dental student who has yet to figure out how to silence my sweet tooth I can't help but break up an episode and watch a technical challenge or a showstopper in between my study breaks and during holidays I excitedly head home to attempt the bakes myself. Anyways, I absolutely loved your unique style and your warm sweet character. I did have a request for you actually one of my all time favorite desserts to get when I go out for Indian food....Gulab Jamun! I have a feeling you'd have a stellar recipe up your sleeves. Cheers! xoxo

      I am so glad you agree with me, the home made is so good just on its own too whereas the shop one is too synthetic to eat on its own.

      Hi 👋yes you can , exactly the same way. You’ll have to experiment on your desired strength of orange flavour 💜

      I would have said yes but turmeric has a strong flavour and that will ruin the delicate freshness of this curd so dont add turmeric to it.

    Hi Chetna, thanks for sharing super easy to follow recipe. How long can this stay in refrigerator? I usually make apricot or berry spread which stay good for as long as a year, would it be the same for lemon curd too? If not, how can I extend its shelf life?

    • @FoodwithChetna

    Hello! can you say how many ml of lemon juice we must use please? my organic lemon are smaller so I think 5 won't be enough! thanks for this easy recipe,I love your channel! hugs from the French West Indies!

    • @FoodwithChetna
      @FoodwithChetna  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for the follow! I didn't measure the juice when I made it. Mainly it is to add the sourness so if you think 5 lemons are not enough then make it with 6. Do let me know how it goes.

      Food with Chetna Hello! so I tried to make a lemon pie so I put 200ml of lemon juice (about 10) and it cas too much cause it tastes very sour! Next time I put only 5!

      Sadly I don't have any suggestion for an egg substitute for this recipe.

    Home made indian curd is really nice but a laboured process. The (chas) yoghurt drink made from it is delicious

    this always looks tempting to me but i've always had one doubt. does this taste eggy at all? i don't like eggs much which is why i've never tried to make this...
    do yo think lemon curd smells or tastes of eggs?

    • @FoodwithChetna
      @FoodwithChetna  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No it does not taste or smell of eggs and thats because the mixture is cooked for 15 minutes or so on low heat which cooks the egg. Try making it and let me know if you can smell or taste it?
