Thank you for the reaction and it's awesome that you enjoyed this performance, this was a later performance from MTV, i posted a link of the earlier performance but I'm guessing you didn't see it, sound quality is so much better on that one and one of my favourite live performances from FNM, and to answer your question, yes this band always bring the energy lol 😎 Please react to Jizzlobber next 🤘
It looked like it was pretty cold out there. You could see Mike's breath and the guitarist fought his way out of a jacket at one point. Can't even imagine. Total professionals and such a great band! The legend behind the song is Mike staying up for 2-3 days straight on caffeine only, which is his one addiction, as an experiment, . Ahh, coffee...
These guys were definitely a HUGE influence on System of a Down. If you listen to a song by mr bungle called carousel you can really really tell. Down to the way Mike styled his double vocal tracks and everything
@@CC-oi9mc I honestly don't think it matters where you start with Bungle, you either get it or you don't, I tend to have a preference for their more extreme songs so I'm not suggesting anything lol I think Squeeze Me Macaroni would be a good start
I made the same comment on another vid recently but am gonna repeat it. Saw the Angel Dust concert here in Oz back then. Their blistering performance, especially Mike writhing and screaming all over the stage that evening, remains with me some 30 years later.
So good. These guys were playing as Grunge was massive. They forged their own path! Saw them in 1993 on the Angel Dust tour in Sydney. Have also seen Mr Bungle twice. Good times
Suuweeett! They are so amazing live and Billy Gould is a bass beast! The whole band is phenomenal and the energy is off the charts! Love your passion and embracing of this band. There are scores of bands and singers who list FNM and Mike Patton as major influences and you actually get that. March on my man!
Great reaction, this song and Jizzlobber are my favorite songs from the Angel Dust album and you should go for that one next and then please try some Bungle, they are a total experience 😄
If you want the percurser to Slipknot check out the Faith No More song called "Jizzlobber" it pre-dates Slipknot by 7 years. th-cam.com/video/5456JZPWAvY/w-d-xo.html Also Mike Patton's other band from the 80s/90s named Mr. Bungle was also an influence on Slipknot. th-cam.com/video/3U5ZKKxqUzY/w-d-xo.html
100% Jizzlobber next! This video is a little shakey but the audio is spectacular. One of the greatest bootlegs ever! Angel Dust! m.th-cam.com/video/AZfr2QMk3Fc/w-d-xo.html
Good job. :) Yeah, this is the longer, live performance of this song, with much longer transitions (the one with bassist who is, btw, the band`s leader, the oldest guy and a very important link for everyone there)... Sure, don`t forget to hear the studio version regarding the richness of melodies, vocals and crystal clear sound, but don't worry: raw power & energy prevail. ;) Great singing there, you should finally understand the significance of their later influence on other bands, as you were told and as you can imagine. :)) Hey, I'll have to ask you again to check my previous comment, this time on your reaction to "Ugly Morning", since I'm not sure if you read it, a few points and information there ..;) Thx & stay safe. :)
Loving your FNM reactions. Yes please do Jizzlobber next, if possible the live at Phoenix Festival 1993 version too - not to be missed! The video quality is bad but the audio is great.
finally a song from Angel Dust. this album influnced alot of bands. theres a deftones song that sounds like a ripoff of this track vocally and instermentally lol i forgot the name though.
Congratulations. You've got to see first hand a taste of 'Arsehole Mike'. I love Arsehole Mike, it further cements his godliness as his devotes willingly lap up the 'abuse ' Mike gives and promptly asks for more. I should probably better explain myself with an account of my own. When Mr Bungle toured Australia for the Disco Volante tour, Bungle got a 'terrible joke' comedian named Neil Hamburger to open for them. Basically Neils schtick was to tell the worst lead ballon jokes in between making disgusting throat clearing phlemmy sounds loudly into the mic. I'm in the front row right in front of where MIke is about to perform, and I can see him in the wings. So I'm watching Mikes reaction as the crowd has quickly grown tired of this pathetic performance and are transforming themselves into a lynch mob with Neil as main target. And Mikes reaction? He is clearly laughing his guts out as the crowd get angrier and angrier. Then I'm watching Neil increasingly turning back to look at Mike as if to say 'can I please leave the stage while I'm still alive'. And MIke keeps motioning back with his hands as if to say, 'no keep going, more, more. This continued for waaay to long, til it got to the point where other people were coming up to Mike in the wings, trying to get him to give the signal for Neil to finish, and Mike was not having it, motioning to Neil to keep staying there. Eventually, Mike is surrounded by enough people pleading with him, for Mike to motion to Neil to wrap it up, then before going back stage, Mike looks to those that wanted him to get Neil to stop as if to say 'you have no balls, and ruin all the fun'. Needless to say, when Bungle came to the stage, the crowd was in frenzy riot mode, wanting to vent their anger. Bungle then let rip opening the flood gates of teen angst!! And that's when I discovered and fell in love with Arsehole Mike. Ask any true Pattonhead and they will agree. So yeah, back to the vision you saw. When there was that reeaaally long pause while Billy played bass, what you were seeing was Arsehole Mike, bless his heart, fucking with the crowd.

Completely agree, we need some reactions to Mr.Bungle!!
@@roxannemitchell4119 definitely, retrovertigo or John travolta are an excellent starting point IMO

Holy shit. HOW HAVE I NOT SEEN THIS BEFORE?? I WAS A TEEN WHEN THIS WAS ON MTV!!!!
That’s exactly what Corey Taylor did after seeing them live on MTV as a youngster

The warfield version is great as well!!!
Just a Man live in Phoenix 97 should be your next FNM video!
Check out their performance at the BBC a few years ago. It sounds better than the record and they do a Burt Bacharach tune. DO IT

Everythings's ruined jam to that song its FNM most rhythmic song in terms of bass guitar.
