I grew up out east and now live in the foothills of the Rockies. Been here for the majority of the past 20 years and I'm still amazed with those mountain views. That being said, the East coast is still my favorite part of the country.

Seriously, what you saw here you can get much better by timing a long weekend at Little Cottonwood Canyon in SLC.
You've got to go exploring Benjamin. So much amazing snow to ski all across North America and beyond!
That unfrozen water is mostlikely caused due two things: 1. Current and 2. Bridge protects water from freezing by stopping evaporation a bit. BTW. are you sure that its a lake, not river?
However one hour walk at -25 is a respectable achievement. Well done!!!
I'm a little confused? What water are you talking about?
@@riseandalpine sorry I this is a comment for another video. I was writing that comment while watching you video.
La Vallée Blanche in Chamonix is almost double the length at 20km!
Yup that's legendary! Will have to do a Euro trip one day.
So beautiful
Just incredible eh
Definitely
Always pack back worn gear inside out after shaking as it has some sweat moisture in it.
Great tip! Never thought about that.
What's a good way to safely transition from resort skiing to touring? This video makes me want to go have an adventure so badly!
Start with an avalanche safety course!
Can't imagine how to survive snowboarding in this terrain LOL
Dude. Mich is such a legend to rip that so well on the splitboard.
2:12 that’s one scenic piss
Can't beat a scenic piss!
I'll never understand the hot sauce thing. But the video is special!
You gotta try it!
If you tried the sauces he makes you'd understand, they're amazing.
high quality subalpinism in the back half of this vid
I made Sid proud with this one :)
The most heinous skintrack through the bottom of Grizzly Shoulder, I've ever had the misfortune of being on, especially after it ices up. Death defying
I can only imagine that thing icy. I'd bootpack with crampons LOL
> gets new skis
> immediately annihilates them on rocks and trees

They had accepted their fate the second I pulled them out of the van hahaha

Listened to liquid mantis. So good!

The first things Eskimos teach there kids is don't eat yellow snow. Damit man never considered packing a little chainsaw but it would come in handy huh. Then following those rabbit tracks lol... Can't believe no core shots on the new sticks... You drug em down 20ft of bolder... Nice skin got sweaty just watching...
Nordica makes some really robust sticks.... I put them through hell and they barely get beat down
Is that all snow?
Yup!
Oh.. fuck..😂❤
:)
