Awesome video, I have naturally long, fine hair but (a lot of it) and straight. I do my beach curls somewhat different and with other tools. Thank you for showing your diy beach curls, I am gonna have to try it definitely!!!

I am unable to use masking tape, but I have found that you can feel where to apply contore based on facial landmarks if that makes sense. I put the blush on my cheek bone, highlight above that, and my contour under my cheek bone. I center it around the blush.

Ok, here’s my problem. And please, anyone feel free to help a girl out here! Everytime I use a curling iron, my curls all semm to start at one point. Meaning, my hair will be straight from the top of my head until about the top of my ears and it makes it look like I have a crease in my hair like I’ve had it up in a ponytail and just took the rubber band out. Does that make sense? I’ve tried every size curling iron, I’ve tried curling my hair from the root to the end but it always seems to get that crease every time! I will say that I don’t get it when I use a curling wand, only a curling iron. But I want to use a curling iron becasue it’s so much faster. What am I doing wrong!?
Trista Oakley So mine used to be that way too and I found that the best solution was leaving the last few inches of your hair out of the curling iron like she does. So you’re still starting at the root but you’re not curling to the bottom. When you curl to the bottom, the ends are the only place that hold the curl (at least for me). So when you leave the ends out, 2 inches or so, you have more loose waves in the top/middle rather than the crease and only curls at the bottom. I hope that helps!!
