I have some ideas for extra loud modifiers, that could make more sense 1. FBI Squad: During the heist, there is a chance that SWATS spawn as FBI SWATS: FBI SWAT stats: HP: 200 (both light and heavy) Armor: 120 (light), 220 (heavy) Roles: Combines roles of Standard units, HRT team and Sabotage team into one Design: Green uniforms, Silver helmets Variations: AR, SMG, Shotgun, Mobile Sniper Mobile Sniper - Equipped with SA A114 as primary Spawn limit for the unit is 2, but is tripled (to 6), if the FBI assault is active 2. Serious Dozers: Dozers will never taunt 3. Focused Snipers: Snipers will aim and shoot at the players 50% faster 4. Overkill delay: Player need to wait twice the usual time for the Overkill weapon drop to complete 5. Shockproof Zappers: Zappers will not get shocked, if you either destroy they battery pack or the shock mine (Note: Affects only Zappers)
Some of the loud modifiers are things that should just be in the game by default. Hard Bargain should be an Overkill thing (however you literally can't dominate cops without skills so it would just softlock some heist, unless SBZ decides to let us dominate cops again). That doubled specials thing should be in overkill as well by default. Losing edge, grit and rush from specials should also be a thing in Overkill by default. I have the feeling that half of these are just things that should already be in Overkill by default.
Explained perfectly Chief - Cortana probably idk :3 What I would love more instead of loud modifier is just more uniqueness to VH and OVK give the already existing specials more util and strategies(gameplay mechanics). It is what every other game does with difficulty it's almost like they didn't consider anything when making payday 3 and followed a rudimentary checkbox of x y and z without trying to spread their wings outside of a box and come up with engaging ideas to challenge players. One thing I don't get heard talked about enough is weekly rotating modifiers are just going to make people not want to play certain heists that have bad modifiers. While would be nice for making people play other heists for once. I see it as an even bigger annoyance when I would want to play the game.
They had one job, port payday 2 to unreal and add some sprinkles of new content, than they got stuck at the preplanning phase trying to innovate stuff that nobody wanted to change. There is no way SB can be this clueless, no amount of small tweaks is saving this boat, they should either scrap payday 3 and go back to mass produce dlc for payday 2 or just take some months off, put payday 3 back in the oven, this time with all of the basic features that this "live service coop game" lacks, and in the meantime take a read of the "basic rule of sequels" and copy everything that worked in previous entries and change stuff that didn't work in payday 2. In other words, relaunch this shit game.
My only analogy for payday 3 is that it feels like a thanksgiving turkey that was way underdone, and instead of putting it back in the oven they are trying to cook the turkey with matchsticks.
Armour piercing cops might have worked if the armour system wasn't changed to call of poopy wanna be #34 Like seriously I hate, despise and can't stand the new armour system so much, adaptive only made it worse because if you know what you're doing there's no way you'll die and it's not even hard to do

Im feeling hopeless about PD3. It was fun for a while the presentation is really whats carrying the game. Strip away the good animations and graphics and you're left with something really bad. There are hints of brilliance and fantastic ideas its just that the company isn't really putting there teams talents to good use. I dont think its entirely over yet but the game is def hanging on by a thread with each update that comes out. Sure they add great things but that can only get you so far when the changes are small. It feels like pouring cloaker poison over a medic bag it just hurts bad. I'm not optimistic in the slightest. Love hearing other peoples thoughts though.

Personally I don’t think the modifiers should be added through the difficulty but rather enabled on any for extra Xp after the heist
