Hi there how do I wire two batteries if I don’t want to use the isolator and how many and size of fuses are to be used. Thank you u explain things very clearly.
I added a second battery for running stuff while camping. I did the same with the second battery tray and the isolator. The one difference is I used much lighter 10 gauge wire for the connection. Since 10 gauge is good for only 30 amps I installed a 1/4 ohm 50 watt resister to limit the current. I added the resistor on the firewall. I also added a 30 amp fuse which has never blown in the four years since I added the battery.
I kinda do I have a 2019 Honda Accord ex I’m not sure where to find the true ignition source and then I wana put a 4 channel amp but idk if I need or if there are any factory harnesses for my car I can’t find one so I’m not sure how to run the speakers and I wana put in components speakers too so the cross over and all that to the amp and speaker wire from the factory I’m so confused and I been watching videos for months now tryna figure it all out idk if u might know any about this stuff and car?? I appreciate your time

This trucks originally have the 160 alternator. But it can handle the sound system for mild and Medium setup. When you move up to bigger sound system you have to upgrade your alternator ranging around 250+ amperage. Go with the isolator that goes with your amp.
What's your advice for getting the 0 AWG cable and the yellow trigger wire through the rubber grommet and boot in the firewall behind where you connected the yellow trigger wire (I assume you went through that grommet). Thanks.

No the stock stereo is run with the stock battery. Why would you wanna run stock radio and dvd system on second battery? Second battery’s mostly used for amps or lights (off-road lights, wintch ,etc etc etc efc

My stock alternator is working great and charging both my batteries. But also will be great idea to upgrade after a year your alternator just stay to stay on the safe side and a peace of mind. The only thing the isolator does when you turn off the truck it separates the batteries so they don’t drain both when bumping music when the truck is off.
What size fuses are on the power wires? Does the 12v ignition need to be fused? Did you need to upgrade to bigger gauge wire from alternator to main batt?

The Xs power battery is the best in primary battery and secondary whichever you decide. If you got a sound system go for the 3400 for the primary. If you got 2 batteries the same you don’t need isolator. But mine are different ( interstate and xs power) I have to have isolate both. The link I posted them bottom comments. With wires and fuses.

So here's my question how would it isolate if when you have car off key in power is still going to radio accessories etc basically you are just isolating the amp right....

@@fullpeladas ???? You don’t know what your talking about. Competition sound system do need to stay on. This system is for the average client that doesn’t need to stay on. That’s why you add extra battery and big 3 wiring.

If you have the two battery’s exactly the same you can do it without the isolator.

What happened to the factory fuse watt you do to it from the main battery that goes mounted on the firewall
That factory is only from 07-10 gm trucks or suvs and later on 11-13 they moved that fuse on the battery bro harness

Your isolator is not connected right. It’s not charging. And make sure your ground is good.

Get ofc 0 awg because it causes less stress on the alternator and more power to amp. Yes through the grommet.

Correct 👍 get a isolator above 300 and fuse. And use 0 gauge ofc wire for the batteries

Yes the xs power has a fuse but tucked in on the back firewall.

200 fuses. 12v ignition it’s already fuses on the engine fuse box. You can but I didn’t at the moment.

Stock gauge. because idk how to do it. Since truck has fuses connected and some other wires. I gotta do some research on that.

This truck year ground sucks. So I upgrade the ground from body to alternator.

If your alternator pulling 400 then you need to change it to that amperage fuse. Whatever your alternator pulls should be your fuse.
