I personally feel like when Sweetheart goes on the rant about how Hero is jealous, she’s projecting. Because everything she lists - dazzling looks, charming smile, gregarious personality - those are things that Hero not only has, but he has more of it than her. He’s better than Sweetheart in every way that she cares about and that infuriates her. SHE is the one who’s jealous, but she refuses to admit it to herself, so she projects this jealousy onto him. That might also be why she is so attracted to him as well.
I find sweetheart an interesting look into Sunny’s mind. Sweetheart is portrayed as a very arrogant self centered obnoxious person, and as part of sunny’s dream space she is what he thinks obnoxious people are. But she also has self love which could hint to the fact that Sunny refuses to show himself love because he believes that self love is a narcissistic trait. Idk just a random theory I have.
I think it could also be Sunny believing that if he tries to accept himself, he'll become like Sweetheart. If he tries to love himself, he's just a narcissistic maniac that no one could possibly love.

"like vampire rules?" its kinda funny to think in real life, being invited to someones house is vampire rules. like in a video game its normal to just bust in
32:50 A few questions you could ask yourself: What causes you to go back to white space? Why are the names blanked out? Why is it so hard to find basil without getting distracted all the time? Have you considered the possibility of Sunny not knowing what happened, or at least not consciously? Before you blame me for spoilers, this can be deduced from everything that happened up until this point.
id reccomend you do everyones follow ups again as your bond with your friends became stronger, which changes the follow up moves again. They are all really adorable!
Its interesting cos a lot of let's players don't pick up on the significance of stairs. My first watch I felt something had happened involving stairs, its awesome that you've picked up on that too :)
1:00:43 when I played this part, I legit pulled out a pencil, paper, and some wiki pages just because. btw you guessed the third one correctly, but not the second...
I did the same thing...I just can't leave a math problem unresolved xD I felt pretty good about myself after the third one because that one was looooong hahah
I fell down a large flight of stairs at the age of two and have spent my whole life feeling slightly apprehensive if stairs or completely freaked out by them. The fear/stair association was already hot wired into my brain before this game.
Never clicked on a video so fast Love that she went to the cemetery! Guess it goes to show that there's no real point in trying to play a back-seat gamer in the comments. She won't read the comments and will experience the game in the best way for her. We just have to trust the game is designed well enough that she won't miss anything important.
I think that she's reading some of the comments, but at the same time she is about 10 episodes ahead of what she uploads. Like, people told her to read foe's facts since episode 1, but she adressed that on episode 7, I think? So yeah, not a lot of sense in trying to back-seat
Also, off topic but I think I figured out the blanks, I’ll use hashtags as a blank, # is Sunny, #### are Mari and Hero, ##### is Basil and ###### is Aubrey
Yeah. Kel's main emotion in the chart is "Happy". It seems to be his coping mechanism. He's not the brightest of the bunch, but he's also thoughtful about other people enough to be the initiator of a lot of activities unless he's closed off; an example is inviting not only Sunny, but others as well to rise from being a shut-in and jumping in to protect Basil even when he was called reckless (and he often is). He never blames Hero for being the favorite among them even when their parents always choose him over Kel for his achievements. He's just glad that Hero's back. Although, he still feels distant and chose to hang out with Sunny because he found out about the move. Kel probably avoided his friends for a while and distracted himself with other sources of happiness like befriending other people.
in the beginning of the real world section in the game, sunny's mom's phone call describes kel as "seeming pretty lonely." i don't really think he's befriended people as much as he's probably just had small talks with them and kind of registered them as friends because they had one good interaction. i only say this cuz well, i do that lol, i interact with people and think "oh, this is my friend" and i don't even know their name. kel doesn't really seem to have a lot of actual friends that he can talk to about serious things either, seeing as he's literally never told anyone other than sunny that story he told at the graveyard. the only friends he really seems to have are people he knows from playing sports, or just people he can have a little chat with. it's a little sad. he definitely seems lonely when you really think about it
@@astroblade100 Probably. For sure though, he certainly hasn't told anybody else aside from Sunny about certain issues if his talk at the graveyard is anything to go by and that not having talked anybody about those made him lonely..
@@lusverma2136 poor kel. wish the game had focused on how he handled everything as much as it did everyone else, but it makes sense that he doesn't talk about it since he's probably trying his best to keep going without thinking of the past. it must be hard for him
@@astroblade100 Would be interesting to have side games to see each character's side of the whole thing, like Hero's college life or Aubrey's road to violence.
I'm glad you caught the thing about Kel, because I think it's a thing people overlook a lot. If you remember the emotions chart, each of the characters were shown having a primary emotion, and each character usually benefits in combat from having a specific type of emotion. And all of them match up with how they reacted to the trauma. Aubrey became angry. Hero became depressed. Kel? Kel masked whatever his feeling behind happiness. He always try to return to a positive point. He's constantly trying to pep others up, even if he's really bad at it. Aubrey mentioned he got over it too fast, but I think he really just felt that he had to present happy to help others become happy again. I don't think it's acknowledged as much generally that Kel is also coping, he's just trying to cope with positivity, that can present grating to others. And you can tell he really wants to help too. He's constantly offering to help everyone. With everything. All the time. The townsfolk, Basil, his disaster talk with Hero, and maybe notably, Sunny. It'd been 3-4 years of radio silence but when he heard Sunny was moving, he was the one desperately trying to get the main character to come out of their shell.
(very vague reference to spoilers) There is just a terrible truth to the observation that "so many terrible things seem to happen near stairs" in Omori.
I just realized, was Daddy long legs missed in the forest? If so that would have added onto her theory more. But I always noted the way the game has basically put u into the shoes of Omori/Sunny (like with the stairs and being kind of wary of them) Along with the way Kel would “present himself” ig
You stumbled into the Underground library the first time. If you want to go back of your own decision, you'll have to go through a lot more pain to revisit it.
Sweetheart can be a very difficult boss fight for two reasons: She deals a lot of damage, especially when you're underleveled, but also, for people who haven't been paying attention to the Emotion Triangle because a) they haven't needed to because the game is relatively simple, or b) they didn't read the tutorial on it. (or both) This is because she makes herself Happy, then has a move where she can make the entire party Angry. In the Emotion Triangle, Happy beats Angry, making your attacks deal less damage, while Sweetheart deals far more damage to the party. On top of that, the various stages of Happy increases crit chance, so if you're unlucky, you can have one of your characters get knocked out even from full HP by a crit on Angry. I would even go so far as to say this is the hardest mandatory fight in the game, simply for these reasons. Even if you understand the emotion chart, it can still be really difficult if she spams the move that makes your party Angry.
Orchid is pronounced "or-kid"! It's not a word you'd come across very often though, so most people might not notice anything off if you pronounce it wrong, but it might be neat to know regardless

on the excerpts, I think the missing blanked out part of the excerpts are Sunny's friends, although, the single black letter? is just 1 letter.... so that's a mystery edit: the 1 letter blank might be "I" but that still doesn't explain the 's in front of it

"like vampire rules?" its kinda funny to think in real life, being invited to someones house is vampire rules. like in a video game its normal to just bust in

A few questions you could ask yourself:
What causes you to go back to white space?
"now I look at stairs ...a little differently" - honey you've got a big storm coming

Just a tip for the rest of the game
Pay attention to what the characters say around how Mari died
I seriously cant wait for you to get to the end of the game and see your reaction
one blank - sunny
three blanks - kel
four blanks - hero and mari
five blanks - basil
six blanks - aubrey
Never clicked on a video so fast
Love that she went to the cemetery!
@@area8295 how do you know she's ahead of her uploads?
@@Beam3178 she had a video with her thoughts about the game after part 3, and she said something about that
Wait does that mean that Sunny censored this kiss in his mind- LMFAO
Also, off topic but I think I figured out the blanks, I’ll use hashtags as a blank, # is Sunny, #### are Mari and Hero, ##### is Basil and ###### is Aubrey
youll understand the... stair motif soon enough! also, be cautious with hangman (:
16:36 “it’s very different.”

@shut up I dunno either. Since Kel is prioritizing Sunny since they have a limited time left, that's probably why we don't get to see a lot.
in the beginning of the real world section in the game, sunny's mom's phone call describes kel as "seeming pretty lonely." i don't really think he's befriended people as much as he's probably just had small talks with them and kind of registered them as friends because they had one good interaction. i only say this cuz well, i do that lol, i interact with people and think "oh, this is my friend" and i don't even know their name. kel doesn't really seem to have a lot of actual friends that he can talk to about serious things either, seeing as he's literally never told anyone other than sunny that story he told at the graveyard. the only friends he really seems to have are people he knows from playing sports, or just people he can have a little chat with. it's a little sad. he definitely seems lonely when you really think about it
@@astroblade100 Probably.

Got it! Such a name was never spoken of
I know too much 😞
I'm glad you caught the thing about Kel, because I think it's a thing people overlook a lot.
“I look at stairs a little differently” Same.
Everytime there's a upload I'm happy,,, sure I've already know the endings but 💪💪 it's just fun seeing other people's prospectives
Just noted smth (spoilers)
Maris gravestone has a chopped down tree right behind it, the only gravestone to have that. Because, well.
Another reason for hero rejecting sweetheart is mari
wow, you actually got the standard deviation right! I can confirm you actually guessed the right Z-Score
27:35 Close....your eyes, you- BAJAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAJJA just kidding, but for the ones who one..you all think about it, i know you do
(very vague reference to spoilers) There is just a terrible truth to the observation that "so many terrible things seem to happen near stairs" in Omori.
Also the town is lacking a Ned, and there is a grave with a puzzle
29:55 oh you will look at stairs VERY differently by the end... :(
I just realized, was Daddy long legs missed in the forest?
If so that would have added onto her theory more.
But I always noted the way the game has basically put u into the shoes of Omori/Sunny (like with the stairs and being kind of wary of them)
Along with the way Kel would “present himself” ig
You stumbled into the Underground library the first time. If you want to go back of your own decision, you'll have to go through a lot more pain to revisit it.

Sweetheart can be a very difficult boss fight for two reasons: She deals a lot of damage, especially when you're underleveled, but also, for people who haven't been paying attention to the Emotion Triangle because a) they haven't needed to because the game is relatively simple, or b) they didn't read the tutorial on it. (or both)
This is because she makes herself Happy, then has a move where she can make the entire party Angry.
Part 20 of binge watching these reactions and these have been a comfort to watch 😂
54:22 When I listen carefully about this serious topic and then I get a Naruto ad... why?
One of the best things about watching OMORI playthroughs is seeing everyone vibe to the soundtrack whenever a new piece comes up.
I misremembered the first part of the password as "flaming." Yeah, I quickly realized it wasn't right.
Orchid is pronounced "or-kid"! It's not a word you'd come across very often though, so most people might not notice anything off if you pronounce it wrong, but it might be neat to know regardless

Hero goes: "Nah I like Perfectheart"
on the excerpts, I think the missing blanked out part of the excerpts are Sunny's friends, although, the single black letter? is just 1 letter.... so that's a mystery
edit: the 1 letter blank might be "I" but that still doesn't explain the 's in front of it
