I find explorer so much more refined than cdnim in terms of the blending and harshness I had the pure parfum and edp cdnim and the scent trail is absolutely amazing but up close and personal it can just be quite messy on my skin Explorer doesn’t have as much poke or get in your face so much , it’s definitely more subtle but I find it has a beautiful scent trail and smells better close up than cdnim I also found that explorer doesn’t perform to badly compared to newer variants of cdnim and it definitely has a high oil concentration because when I spray it on my skin I can see it like I can the cdnim pure parfum Both are great scents but my money goes to Mont Blanc explorer for just being a bit more refined and less in your face but everyone is different 🤷🏻♂️
Mont Blanc is more high quality, but not the same experience as aventus. personally I think it smells better than creed aventus. the armaf clone is just beast mode lemon pledge

I think youre spot on with the price. Spending $60+ on was extravagant. Now less than $70 is getting you something like a car freshener. Im sure they all use the finest cage free bergamots. But its making it harder to justify buying them.
Great review and spot-on. I saw ATH review Explorer and he made a great point, from his perspective as a perfumer. It's not a clone. They took Aventus, tweaked it, and in most ways made it better. Could not agree more. I own several pre-reform Aventus batches and reach for Explorer 9 times out of 10.

If you're looking for a 99% clone of Aventus then get Club De Nuit Intense Man by Armaf but let me tell you that the opening is really harsh but dry down is absolutely the same. In the dry down CDNIM is literally 100% Aventus. .......... Mont Blanc Explorer: I prefer it more than CDNIM instead because it smells extremely pleasant and very smooth right from the start to the dry down. Fragrance snobs might hate this one but the average joe absolutely loves it to death.

Just finished my 30ml and bought a 100ml. This frag is my Signature scent. I have many top designers brands and this always comes first, second is A*men and third is EROS EDT.
MBE is one of my favorite fragrances, even more than Aventus. The only downside is that the longevity is rather mediocre. Given the cost, it isn't that unreasonable to reapply. But I wish they pushed it to Sauvage levels of longevity.
I agree Mate an intense version with more poke would be pretty awesome , I would have preferred it to the new blue flanker they just released 🤷🏻♂️✌️🤷🏻♂️
I never thought the longevity Was the problem I can still smell it after I wash my clothes and I can still detect it after I take a shower now maybe the projections not the greatest but it has longevity wish I could argue is more important
Purchased this recently and has become a favourite especially as a dumb reach. When you think its done its keeps coming back and you get whiffs. Only knock on it is its a tad 2 dimensional there's not a lot if depth. But I still love it!
@@donquique1 Summer fragrances usually smell great in winter and summer since they're very fresh and clean fragrances making them practically all year round fragrance. I wear Artisan Pure in December-January and smells great. Winter fragrances on the other hand in summer smell way too potent and practically just too much. I once sprayed Spicebomb extreme in the summer heat of June and it smelled good but it was soooooo sweet and so potent that nobody liked it.
My first bottle I got when it first came out was much better then the bottle I just got... the new bottle is much weaker.. so disappointed I bought Clud de Nuit intense edp and it is better. So disappointed in Mont Blanc, they had a winner and it smells like they thinned it out. Doesn’t last 2 hours now when before it lasted all day.

Montblank Explorer is the four-hundred and sixth Aventus clone--a pretty nice one--but nothing more IMO. Still, I would buy it long before I purchasing the current formulation of Aventus...it's cheaper, smells just as nice if not better, and performs even better. Sadly, the old versions of Aventus are long gone and the Creed (the brand) is not doing it justice these days. Cheers!

Can’t get enough of it... Serious compliment puller. Longevity is not great, but at this price reapplying isn’t a big deal. I honestly prefer it to Aventus. Especially the more recent batches.
Explorer is what Aventus would be if Aventus wasn't such a juicy fruit sweet metrosexual scent. Something else is every batch of Explorer is consistent. Its called quality control.
Just bought a bottle of explorer. Not a fragrance fanatic, but I agree it feels unique and appealing for all ages. It’s dry down is disappointing however. I will have to get used to applying more than usual at the start of my day or applying more than once. Best advice is to try in store and buy online
Agree good advice. I got a small bottle from Walmart Online for $25 and it smells like fabric cleaner to me the entire day I wore it. It's just another typical smelling boring unisex designer fragrance yet again. Nothing "masculine" about this fragrance to my nose whatsoever. I'm returning it.
When it came out I didn’t cared for so I just bought ultra male then suddenly out of nowhere I got it for a really good price and I like it a lot. parfum it’s like falling in love some are love at first sight and with another ones you need to wear them to build a relationship with them lol.

Frags are cheaper today then ever before! 1990's & 2000's frags cost $75CND + 12% tax. (money worth 2 times less in purchasing power today = $150CND + 12% tax) 2020 frags cost $125CND + 5% tax, but you can get them on discounters for $50CND. (cheapest in history)
It smells great but doesn't stay long at all. I can only have this indoors, if I stay outside for too long it disappears pretty fast. Thankfully these things don't cost too much. Something like Acqua di Gio probably costs almost twice as this one and it doesn't stay long either.
I am big fun of Aventus however every batch is different from the previous making aventus a fragrance that you cannot trust... also it is extremely overpriced for a juice that every year loses its longevity and identity.. the aventus clones are very sintetic and poor in some aspects so this is in my opinion the best you can find to replace because it’s affordable and can be used anytime of the day.. it’s very clean and classy at same time.. I’ve enjoyed and recommend it. Thanks
I have MBE and I like it, but it is such a potent fragrance... it's hard to control. I wish the sprayer dispensed a smaller amount. I'm serious when I say just one spray in the center of the chest is all I can handle. 15 hours later it is still huffing and puffing. I guess I need to spray the back of my neck or something... LOL Am I alone on this?
It's pineapple smells like a dirty pineapple while this one smells clean, in my opinion. But you're right concerning the cdnim's performance... I have a 2019 batch
Hate fragrances like this and Sauvage with their heavy dose of ambroxin. Just a headache in a bottle. CDNIM perfume is much better and is also good value.

I wanted a very masculine and fresh scent for my husband. This is the one I liked the best out of Creed and CDNIM. Those two just didn’t do it for me and I got headaches from CDNIM. I picked this one over Sauvage Elixir too
I bought this because of this review. If this is what Creed Aventus smells like they copied someone else because there's a very strong base note from a cologne I wore back in the early 2000's, I cannot put my finger on it.

In my country there's cultural thing rarely someone ever mentions my perfume other then to complain about it. It's seen as somewhat too intimate to mention how someone smells. I'm a dentist, MB Explorer never got a complaint at all and instead gets more compliment than Aventus
This is a very insightful comment on culture. The compliment aspect varies a lot throughout culture. And I think the reviewers don’t take this into account when they’re talking about compliments.

I could've sworn I bought explorer in 2018; but it came out in 2019? It was my signature scent in my office for almost one year. I bought a sample of Aventus earlier this year. I prefer the smell of Aventus but Explorer holds up very well and it's my 'dumb reach' scent.

Agreed, I heard all this and that about how the original Dior Homme was to die for, ultimate sexy fragrance etc. but when I finally got it I absolutely hated that lipstick smell and ended up giving it to my sister. Dior Homme 2020 on the other hand ... banger of a fragrance, really really good.
Explorer would be great if it lasted more than 25 minutes on me. No joke. Never had a fragrance disappear faster. Excellent scent and very very close to Aventus but wow...performance issues like no other...
I think your anosmic to it like me. I was very disappointed the first day I wore it. Couldn't smell it after a very short time but got a very good compliment 8hrs later when hugging someone. Go figure
The real reason why Explorer is considered Good is because Aventus is currently Dogshit and this is a far more widespread affordable alternative..be interesting to know how many people have tried passing this off as ‘Creed’.?? Cos I’m willing to bet nowadays more people have heard of ‘Creed’ as opposed to ‘’Mont Blanc’...

First time I tried it, I had not a good impression. The opening was very sharp and piercing to me, and I had a terrible headache. Truth to be told I was very tired that day, I didn't sleep much, so I probably should give it another possibility (still I don't feel the need to buy a bottle).

Just bought a bottle of explorer. Not a fragrance fanatic, but I agree it feels unique and appealing for all ages. It’s dry down is disappointing however. I will have to get used to applying more than usual at the start of my day or applying more than once. Best advice is to try in store and buy online
Agree good advice. I got a small bottle from Walmart Online for $25 and it smells like fabric cleaner to me the entire day I wore it. It's just another typical smelling boring unisex designer fragrance yet again. Nothing "masculine" about this fragrance to my nose whatsoever. I'm returning it.

When it came out I didn’t cared for so I just bought ultra male then suddenly out of nowhere I got it for a really good price and I like it a lot. parfum it’s like falling in love some are love at first sight and with another ones you need to wear them to build a relationship with them lol.
A great video, thank you. 2020 really has knackered my fragrance collecting. This was indeed the last fragrance I bought back in February, I've taken for granted just how good it is. I've loved Montblanc ever since Presence was launched. They have hit upon a winner here, my 17 y/o nephew and 70 y/o dad both asked for it, so I totally agree with your words. Loving the reviews. I'd love to know your thoughts on Lancome's Hypnose Homme. It doesn't get a lot of love.

I had a buddy have explorer on..and I asked em if it was creed Aventus..he said no..than I said CDNIM ? he said no.. so i asked Explorer? he said yes lol.. so lesson here... they all smell the same...
The sillage is fantastic if you smelled it off someone it's so masculine and self assured it has an earthy shaving cream vibe.
As I smell my arm @ 2am, after had sprayed it waaay earlier... I agree with your statement
Explorer is currently my favourite frag, absolutely love it.

Frags are cheaper today then ever before!
1990's & 2000's frags cost $75CND + 12% tax. (money worth 2 times less in purchasing power today = $150CND + 12% tax)
2020 frags cost $125CND + 5% tax, but you can get them on discounters for $50CND. (cheapest in history)
It smells great but doesn't stay long at all. I can only have this indoors, if I stay outside for too long it disappears pretty fast. Thankfully these things don't cost too much. Something like Acqua di Gio probably costs almost twice as this one and it doesn't stay long either.
The performance is crap tho
Prefer the scent to Aventus. Love the woods throughout. Performance can be a bit lacking but at this price point, reapplication is no issue.
Explorer for the office/everyday...Moustache for formal events...and Missoni Wave for shorts and a tshirt

I am big fun of Aventus however every batch is different from the previous making aventus a fragrance that you cannot trust... also it is extremely overpriced for a juice that every year loses its longevity and identity.. the aventus clones are very sintetic and poor in some aspects so this is in my opinion the best you can find to replace because it’s affordable and can be used anytime of the day.. it’s very clean and classy at same time.. I’ve enjoyed and recommend it. Thanks

I have MBE and I like it, but it is such a potent fragrance... it's hard to control. I wish the sprayer dispensed a smaller amount. I'm serious when I say just one spray in the center of the chest is all I can handle.
15 hours later it is still huffing and puffing.

Great fragrance. Maybe one of the best around, and womans go crazy about this one. Never got more compliments than with MB Explorer.
Mont Blanc both legend spirit and explorer only last about 30 minutes on me, shame as they both smell great.
CDNIM performs far better on my skin.
It's pineapple smells like a dirty pineapple while this one smells clean, in my opinion. But you're right concerning the cdnim's performance... I have a 2019 batch

Hate fragrances like this and Sauvage with their heavy dose of ambroxin. Just a headache in a bottle. CDNIM perfume is much better and is also good value.

I wanted a very masculine and fresh scent for my husband. This is the one I liked the best out of Creed and CDNIM. Those two just didn’t do it for me and I got headaches from CDNIM. I picked this one over Sauvage Elixir too
I bought this because of this review. If this is what Creed Aventus smells like they copied someone else because there's a very strong base note from a cologne I wore back in the early 2000's, I cannot put my finger on it.

Montblanc explorer is long lasting and the dry down smell even better! I enjoy it so much.

In my country there's cultural thing rarely someone ever mentions my perfume other then to complain about it. It's seen as somewhat too intimate to mention how someone smells. I'm a dentist, MB Explorer never got a complaint at all and instead gets more compliment than Aventus
This is a very insightful comment on culture. The compliment aspect varies a lot throughout culture. And I think the reviewers don’t take this into account when they’re talking about compliments.

I could've sworn I bought explorer in 2018; but it came out in 2019? It was my signature scent in my office for almost one year. I bought a sample of Aventus earlier this year. I prefer the smell of Aventus but Explorer holds up very well and it's my 'dumb reach' scent.

Agreed, I heard all this and that about how the original Dior Homme was to die for, ultimate sexy fragrance etc. but when I finally got it I absolutely hated that lipstick smell and ended up giving it to my sister.
Dior Homme 2020 on the other hand ... banger of a fragrance, really really good.
To me this has more of a sauvage vibe, it sits right up there with prada luna rossa carbon for me. Fantastic signature scent. So so good.
The opening does smell like sauvage and aventus but the drydown is what smells like aventus.
Explorer would be great if it lasted more than 25 minutes on me. No joke. Never had a fragrance disappear faster. Excellent scent and very very close to Aventus but wow...performance issues like no other...

I think your anosmic to it like me. I was very disappointed the first day I wore it. Couldn't smell it after a very short time but got a very good compliment 8hrs later when hugging someone. Go figure

The real reason why Explorer is considered Good is because Aventus is currently Dogshit and this is a far more widespread affordable alternative..be interesting to know how many people have tried passing this off as ‘Creed’.?? Cos I’m willing to bet nowadays more people have heard of ‘Creed’ as opposed to ‘’Mont Blanc’...

First time I tried it, I had not a good impression. The opening was very sharp and piercing to me, and I had a terrible headache. Truth to be told I was very tired that day, I didn't sleep much, so I probably should give it another possibility (still I don't feel the need to buy a bottle).
