I literally just got done doing the exact same thing! I used the video as a reference for the wiring and it worked perfectly, I ordered a cheap Amazon bar though for $18, pretty much identical to the moonsmc one.

@@_MHICKO_ comes with 2..had mine installed for 2 months now on my 2016 FXDLS and it's been perfect
@@PkwyDrive13 Did you need a wiring harness or was there enough wire on the light bar to use? I wish you would have made your own video on installing it!
@@Highzenplug I didn't use a harness.. Just tied it into the wiring for the headlight. So when the headlights on, so is the light bar, and when I turn my high beam on, the light bar goes off

what is the AMP draw on this circuit??? did you need a higher rated circuit breaker??? and those soctchlok connectors are used at trailer rentals for a fast short haul ... they will fail quickly i have replaced those from water getting in and causing rusting the wiring, just so you know...

Anyone know if it causes any load issues to splice the red wire from LED bar to both the running lights and hi beams?
When you turn on the high beam does it turn off?
unless your low beams stay on when your high beams are (i think typically US vehicles have this disabled) then yes, the LED bar would turn off in this configuration.
is there a way to wire it in where the bar stays on the whole time the bike is on?
With the way they wired it, any time the ignition is on the light bar will remain on also. The only time it will turn off is if the high beams are switched on, or if the ignition switch is set to off.
I always ride with high beam on and that’s where I have it running with H.Beam..
Or u can run a wire harness and run on and off when u like!!! I bought a wire harness and added to 4”led pods on my bike.... just buy harness on eBay $8-15.00 and install it easy.. ground,power,switch that’s it
@@thatguyjaykay shouldn't they be on when the highbeams are also on? Seems like that would make the most sense. The whole idea would be to see better and make yourself more visible.

Should’ve staggered the piggy back connectors so that the tape job didn’t look as bulky.
What would look really good as well is led indicator inserts showing as white driving lights and flashing yellow when indicating using clear or smoked lenses

@@wolfhausco.3250 Just an observation if you fed the wires through the headlight rubber grommet you could do your joining inside the headlight much tidier i think hope you dont mind me saying,i do want one but the postage is nearly as much as the light which is a stumbling block for me,all the best Hirsch.
