Ive been using a vintage tube overdrive for the last 6 years..all my practices ,close to 200 shows and it has not given me any grief at all...its rock solid...with a les paul thru a modded hotrod deluxe ive been complimented so many times on my tone..it has a plexi style color to it...(vintage is very accurate off of a clean channel)

I have the TO800, and it's my favorite choice of the bunch. It really has a wide range when using the drive knob, and can be used for power chords as well as solos. My only issue is it has a little more "fuzzy" sound to it than I like. For $25 you can't go wrong with Behringer.

ITS wonderful what one can do with a zoom g2 at the other end and to800 at the other end...i have vtonegdi21 and joyo us dream in the middle...(i thought the behr gdi21 woul be too much but no: i control my zoom g2 heavy solo sound with chorus/echo/hall by gently tapping the gd i21... for jazzy crunch i can do with to800 and us dream...) I thought i could part with Behr OD300s, but i caant, with the mode to od its so very good, and one thing i realiszed iz that if i broke a behrs top i could always replace it with another behrs top...my main point is ? dont crush it in A rush...bol(BUSLOADSOFLOVE) kIMMO

Its funny that people always talk about how unreliable Behringer pedals are. Ironically they're the only pedals on my board that I haven't really had problems with. My Boss tuner went the other day and now my EHX freeze pedal has lost one of its features due to poor build quality. Don't believe everything you hear when it comes to equipment reliability related stuff.

Knowing the reputation I bought another one as a spare for the same price. Another year later I bougt a third one. All as a spare. Both spares never left the locker, the first one is still okay.

Hey!TubeOd pedal means it simulates a tube phase via diodes, you can get a true tube included OD like Behringer Tube Monster too.Overdrive means it raises your level of volumen and/or gain(depends on the tone your after)before it goes into the amp,to "over"drive it to send it over the top than you normally could without a higher signal going into the amp and depending purely on the amp for tone(which has 3 to 4 tube or simulated phases to get the tone).Digitech BadMonkey ;) comes with a bass knob

I'm heading to Down Home Music, who carry these pedals, tomorrow. I also do not notice much of a diff in overdrive sound. However, I wanted to say thank you for using the overdrive channel of the amp, and then the pedal. Most demos are from the clean channel, but I also wanted to hear a boost from the OD channel along with the crunchy rhythm of the pedal in the clean channel. Thanks Tone King!

I recently bought a Vintage Tube Overdrive (TO800) and I love it. I tested an original Ibanez side by side with this bad boy in the store (the ibanez costing 3 times as much) and the escence of the sound/tone is the same. Play with my Epi Les Paul trough my Bugera 333xl and it sounds amazing for a almost-clean blues sound, and its perfect for boosting my crunch channel. Totally worth cheking it out! Thx TTK! All Behringer pedals are a great value. With a little tweaking and the right amp, they can go head to head with any major brand. Like everything else in the world, you pay a premium just for the name on the front. Boss, Digitech, MXR, etc. are great pedals, but they know it, and the price goes up.

I've owned the BO100, TO100, and TO800. The TO100 and TO800 are close but I prefer the TO800 playing through a strat. The BO100 is basically a boost pedal. Playing and listening on TH-cam is two different things. Besides being made in China and being plastic there is nothing wrong with these pedals tone wise.

    • @shaverave8536

It's easy to do. Adjust your gain level. The less gain, the less overdrive. Quite simple. Blues overdrive isn't the world most powerful pedal, just dial in a small amount of gain and you'll get mostly clean signal with a bit of crunch when you really attack a note.

Tone is entirely subjective - what sounds best is up to your ears as a player. You may think 'x' pedal sounds crap, to other ears it may sound perfect. Down to you to decide what works, and also for your needs and requirements i.e - where you want to sit in a mix with a band etc. The other consideration is how you use these types of pedals. Some work great as standalone pre-amp amp pedals, others work much better in the FX loop - (a brilliant example of this is the Boss metal zone - well known for being a p.o.s pedal that generally gets ridiculed - but look for the ola englund youtube vid where he puts that pedal through the fx loop). And further to this, the gear and amp your using will also effect what you get out of these. I use them generally as a solo/lead boost to a driven sound just to add a little more drive and higher end to cut through a touch better. For what these types of pedals do - they're worth every penny. Pluss they're cheap enough you can buy a couple and keep some spare in a gigging emergency (although that has never happened!)
TL:DR - These pedals can be fantastic. They're great sounding, durable (so far), cheap and can be extremely effective, depending on your tone requirements and how you use them within your rig. That being said, they may not suit some players - but for the cash, worth a try.

wich one is the best for metal?

    @FromWitchSide 13 ปีที่แล้ว

@thehasslessydney I noticed that one too, especialy since Ive got TO100 and BO100 and I havent noticed that difference in levels. Also the video is a bit too quiet for both level and gain cranked, so I guess there was some sound editing or a noise gate.

Noob here, does Tube overdrive mean that it mimics a tube amp or that it is meant to overdrive a tube amp?

Ricks are great guitars. If they weren't so ludicrously expensive, they'd be more commonly used, especially by Strat and Tele players.

I actually love my behringer pedals, EXCEPT for the green one. It just doesn't give me that ts9 tone I love

Well that makes sense, it's a TS808 clone not a TS9 clone. Their TS9 clone, also in this video, is simply called Tube Overdrive

@guitarmanAT Strange as it may sound, amongst these pedals your best bet seems to be the BO100. I didn't like any of them too much yet if I had to get one, I believe I would prefer the TO100 since it enhances and compliments the tone of the guitar better. Yet it's also better to hear it with a more standard solid body than a Rickenbacker ;-|

    Hi,
I own a Roland Micro Cube and a ESP LTD M-50 guitar. I bought a Behringer TP300 Tremolo pedal, but being a noob to pedals, I did not know that a tremolo pedal is at the end of the effect chain. Now, I have no distortion/overdrive pedal between the guitar and the tremolo pedal. So, how would you resolve such a situation?

@resington ... yeah... Call me crazy, but I honestly can't hear too much of a difference in all the pedals. Tube Overdrives are supposed to sound warmer and more smoother, regular overdrives are supposed to sound crunchier with much more body. But I'm not getting any of it.

@kesx In this video he says he has to dime the volume to keep the levels between the other pedals. I was just wondering why the output of those two was so low, when they are based on the TS's

TTK used the ODs only as boosters for rock and metal, sadly he didnt test them thoroughly for bends slides and vibrato

Nice pedals. Just one question, wich one would be better for Pop-Punk stuff, the Vintage Tube Overdrive or the Tube overdrive?

The dirty channel on your amp sounds great and doesn't need a pedal. If you turned up the volume on your amps dirty channel it sounds just as good or better than these pedals.
