Thanks for watching the video Carlo Won't Like This!
Carlo is a dream husband: handsome, industrious, clever, jack of all trades, good-natured, easy-going, adoring, lovable, family man. You are the luckiest woman in the world!
I seriously doubt it’s luck. I’m convinced it’s brains!
Yes! He is ❤
Agreed!!
They’re one of my favorite couples. Both so talented and cool! ❤❤
@@WowJustWow37same here, they are a beautiful couple!
I’m team Carlo for the banister, also he’s always so accommodating to your choices. Change the color if you wish, but to me it says Tuscany.
My thoughts, too. The bannister adds interest, plus safety. Change the color, but leave the bannister, please.
I like the railing. It added charm. I worry the dogs will walk right off the end of the step. I wish we could have seen more of the first salvage shop. It was intriguing and something we don’t have here in Canada or at least not such old lovely things. I hope you go back to that shop. Thanks for sharing ❤ Love to sweet Holly
@@pinknosechronicles agree rail looked fine to me and is a safety consideration. As one gets older railings are nice to have.
I absolutely love the railing! It’s just beautiful and practical. If you wish to have it metallic, they do have metallic spray paint which you can go outside or in the back room, just put down a drop cloth and against the wall as well and open the windows and doors. It’s pretty easy to do if that is what ypu want. You can paint them any color really. When spray painting..better to spray it gently once on each side.wait for it to dry then gently again...so you don’t get streaks. It gets the best coverage but you cannot overdo ..better to do a couple of go’s after waiting for it to dry completely..which is pretty fast actually. Outside it needs to be a non windy calm day...or you can get bugs and dirt blowing into it. Not to mention dog hair, etc..🌟
Agreed!
I’m standing with Carlo. No laughing girls! I love that he is risking English. Good job Carlo.
The banister is gorgeous - KEEP IT!
I vote to keep the banister but paint it black, it was one of the things that gave the house character.
I think it's beautiful too, and since the red floral curtains are going to be a focal point for design/colors, the floral banister painted a matte black would be a lovely complement as well.
I am one of those who love the bannister 😢😢😢😢
It has character.
I think One of the top things i love about the house
Sad.
Anyway it is how you like it.
I would love to see it painted black.
She'd need more black somewhere in the house to balance it out. Otherwise that color would dominate.
@@slapstickdome9797 Me too
The railing is one of a kind! Very quirky and fun! Would I have chosen it? No. But it really adds a very unique look that is charming!
Wouldn’t it be lovely spray painted black!!!
@@slapstickdome9797yes
Could you chalk paint it as well, a neutral color?
The railing could be painted the same white as the walls, to blend in, but provide a pop of texture. I love all your experiments, and such fun to see your friends and Skye joining in the adventure. Waiting for Carlo’s thoughts. Hello, Julie! ✌️❤️🏘️
I think the railing should be painted black or even a matte black, to mimic wrought iron. It’s a really lovely feature and would hate to see it not used…not to mention the safety issues without it! 😮
That banister was lovely 😢is so gianni Versace.
Nicki the bannister is a beautiful feature - the problem is the powdercoat finish. A faux copper & verdigris matt finish would be fabulous and match with your new sofa, blend with the stair tiles and add an authentic tuscan charm.
Lol I love the iron work on the stairs, you should paint it black first then see . But Surprise lol🎉 can’t wait to see 😂😂
I see Carlo getting so much love in the comments. Yet there are only a couple of comments about him being laughed at for struggling with English (minute 9:09). He's made so much progress and didn't deserve that, especially after making the effort to find out about the pricing of the tiles. I guess, as the saying goes, "no good deed goes unpunished!"
Think they were laughing at " order able" which isn't a word. As in" can it be ordered". Not laughing at Carlo but rather the situation
Sneaky girls, Carlo wont trust you alone in renovation again!! It is all coming along and beginning to look amazing. How lucky you are in Italy where there are stores that sell such a huge selection of pre-loved furniture items. I must confess I am freaked by pre-loved items so never touch them, but can watch others select and make them beautiful again. enjoy your renovations and take good care, all the very best to Carlo's dad on his recovery. A great week to you all. 🥰
I think the bannister added charm. I am all for Niki putting her house just the way she wants it; she has been successful in the past.
I love the banister, reminds me of an old 50s movie w Audrey Hepburn. Kick those women out.😄😄
I think a good balance between you and Carlo. I think the banister is necessary for safety considering those stairs are marble and I'm sure you can spray painted metallic or something.
Well, Carlo can make a rail on the stairs wall just for security. If they put the sofa under the stairs, there won’t be any problem if they fall😅 they will fall down on the sofa.😂😂. Just kidding Nicki and Carlo ❤.
I love ❤️ Sundays with Nicky and Carlo! Thank You so much for taking us on your journey in Tuscany and the renovation of your beautiful property.
Use the bannister as garden art💜
When I first saw the banister I thought it was gold-coloured and quite a nice feature in an otherwise blank room. I now realise it's yellow and agree that's not so nice, but if it were possible I'd sand blast it and spray it gold. I don't think it's wise to not have a banister there. Myself I don’t like the look of it without, but it's not up to me! 😄
That was a great reclamation yard, I'd want everything. Now I know why many Italian homes look so elegant and beautiful 😊
YES!....@ 9:08 Carlo has created a new word for the English language, and I accept. My Sunday is off to a great start for a chill day. I got my coffee and "Nicki Positano" is on my TV. LOL! @ Celine and Nicki acting like bandits with Carlo away. Thanks! guys for the life I live vicariously through you in Italy. Enjoy! the day.
I once created ‘will’nt’ which is actually won’t 😂
It was totally understandable- he meant available
Oredenable.
Orderable.
Great word.
@@jenjem5810...IKR and I like it, along with HELLO EVERYWHERE!
@@lenoxlenox9447I understood him very well and was even confused as to why the two of them were laughing! 🤔🤣
We non-native speakers of English do the best we can in every situation, we even invent new words! 😂
Everything's fine as long as we understand each other!
Sorry Nicki, but I'm with Carlo on this one. I love the wrought iron railing! 😮. It's only that yellow color that I don't care for. I kept trying to picture them in black, lol. Anyway, it's good to see your beautiful Skye again😊. Thanks for my weekly getaway 😉! Your land and the countryside there are simply breathtaking ❤. God bless your family 🙏.
Take it or leave it suggestion: The tile will last longer than the curtains so make sure it's something that you can live with when you're tired of the curtains, but also, don't let the tile have too much similar design to your curtains or it will be a scene stealer. 😊
Yes, and don’t overdo the strong patterns, the end result could be too random.
Carlo, we dip anything in our coffee. It’s who we are, our roots. I would fall off those steps in a second getting my morning coffee.
My husband speaks broken English but I never laugh at him around someone.
So nice to see Skye and Celine🌿
I'm not fond of staircases without some kind of handrail. Especially if a person has got wonky and painful knees, or for elderly people who feel insecure on their legs. The one that those two very naughty girls removed was rather unique and might look nice in a toned down colour. Sigh! I miss Tuscany so much, it is probably the most beautiful region in Italy. Seeing the beautiful countryside surrounding Nicki's property reminds me of Lucca, where I lived for 23 years. Modena just isn't the same.😪
An addicts rush walking into that beautifully organized yard of secondhand antique Roman style tubs, sinks, columns, and other treasures...
The bannister is also a safety feature for going up and down the stairs. Put it back and paint it a different color.
The bannister makes the house feel lived in, I like it ! Even the colour I don’t mind at all
Move the table. Put sofa against the wall. Nothing against the stairway. But the banister back. Don’t block the radiator.
Oh Nicky put the bannister back and paint it black, it’s so classic and Tuscan. 🥰
It’s not Tuscan, it’s tacky!
Your video is the best part of my Sunday!! Continued prayers to Carlo's dad for healing and good health! 🙏❤
You don't have a life?😂
Just watched Julie's video. Nice to see from both angles x
Sunday wouldn't be Sunday without you.... Love everything you do, no airs & graces, just real life, lovely family. The house is already lived in, and just hope Carlo doesn't notice the stair rail 😂 Love from Spain ❤
I love the way Carlo looks at Nicki like he just fell in 💕 love.
The best part of my Sunday thank you and keep making a great vlog and telling a wonderful story
I absolutely love the banister railing first thing I said when I saw your new house it needs to be painted black with touches of gold.
Hi Nicki I loved the bannister it added real character to the room , I would've painted it ....enjoyed this video Thank You 🇨🇦
You can spray paint the banister and by code you should have a railing on the staircase. Safety first.
I love this renovation. So inspiring. I love seeing Celine too. She is such a fun person around. Good job on the paint.
Glad Celine & Skye were there to keep Nikki company ❤
Carlo may be surprised, but will he be happy or sad about the changes? Can’t wait to see next week.
he won't be happy or was not happy because by now he has seen it.
I love how much more welcoming Italy is to dogs. I want to take my dog with me everywhere in America, but most places don't allow them in.
It actually makes more sense to switch the dining table and couch areas.
Just slowly add some white paint to your new can until it matches your house.
Can’t wait till next week to see the sofa and Carlo’s comments on the banister gone. It feels like I live for Sunday afternoons to watch your videos! Lovely to see the sunshine in Tuscany, it has been so wet and cold here in Devon. 😊
Thinking they should put the new sofa where the table & chairs are & put them under the stairs. Window if perfect & the table won’t block the heater. Couch & loveseat w/a coffee & end tables with lamps in that front corner ❤
@@samanthab1923Totally agree with you.
How much fun is it hanging out with Julie and then Celine. You have some fun friends. I was not a big fan of the banister (sorry Carlo) and am glad you took it down. It opens up the space so much more.
These markets in Italy are amazing. Luv. Shopping with you. The intro on the long walk. Was. Gorgeous. Sending luv. N blessings 💚🌎💎🌎☘️💜🔮😘🦋💚💚💚💚
Enjoyed your visit with Julie. I agree I don’t like the iron banister either and it’s good that you took it off. Just a thought maybe a wooden banister made by the carpenter that’s making your kitchen cabinets.
Something to hold onto while you’re going up and down the steps. You can always put a lovely blanket over the banister. Glad to hear Carlo’s father is doing well. I enjoy watching you and Carlo renovating your Tuscany Home. ⭐️👍
You Positano people take stairs like mountain goats right now, but if you trip on the stairs you will wish you had that banister to grab. Also you will get older and wish it was there to hold onto. Please keep the banister for safety !
My Sunday morning consists of coffee and waiting for your video to come up. thank you for sharing your beautiful life with all of us!
I wasn't a lover of the banister, think it looks so much better gone. Those salvage places are my heaven, love rummaging around and finding something special. Stunning scenery. 🙂
If you haven't already bought the tiles, I highly recommend bringing those curtains with you while you shop, and anything else so that you can see how the colors play together.
I like it without the railing it opens the room up. Make sure you add a narrow banister on the wall for safety and convenience as you age.
Sometimes I am just having a hard day. Your videos have become a source of calm and warmth. Thank you for sharing them. 💜
You did such a good job designing the tiles for your kitchen in Positano . Get what you really , really want by designing new tiles for the Tuscan house and getting them fabricated in Positano again .
Love the staircase w/o it. Opens up the space even more. 👍
I liked the bannister.
Maybe Carlos can make something for the stairway like he did your front big gate. Looking forward for next weeks.😊
O I love love love the banister!❤
When you began this Tuscany adventure I asked if you would be visiting with Julie and here you are. You are both 2 of my favorite European vloggers
I love the staircase banister!!! It gives your home a little class. It's the vocal point of your home.
It sold me when I saw it. I've never seen one so so beautiful.
Goodness.., keep the bannister! People pay a fortune for them… your colours should be cream and sage for everything with the hydrangea colour to be only 10 percent.. example cushion, art or few decor items and your house would look stylish, homey and beautiful. Just saying not every item or area has to have all 3 colours remember 60 cream 30 sage and 10 cranberry..my 2 cents worth 🥰
I enjoy both or your channels. What a glorious place to live in, and I thank you both for being so generous with your lives and good content!
Loved the goat and sheep who randomly headed down the road. What a paradise...so happy for you all!
I have to say, I am with Carlos on this one. The stair railing should be kept in place. It is beautiful and unique. I think it simply needs to be painted black or antiqued brown. It would have more of a presence and look aged. Please put back, you will be happy if simply made darker.
Code Word: "Lemon". Nicki, I listened last night to your interview with the JITS crew and I must tell you how moved I was to listen to it. Your honesty, guilelessness, and beautiful heart came through loud and clear in that interview. Thank you for that and for wanting to help those who struggle with life.
You ladies were having way too much fun taking down that banister. Nikki, when you said you were going to bury it in the garden I laughed out loud I can’t wait for next weeks video
Sell it to the salvage store.
It was lovely to watch your collab with Julie yesterday. Double treat this weekend:-)
You girls are too cute & making such swift progress! Those salvage places are absolutely incredible! Cannot believe all that tile What a wonderland! In general, I am blown away by all the amazing deals you are getting on furniture. Thanks for sharing with us!
Nicki, you should post twice a week, cant wait to see living room
You girls rock !! Its gonna look awsome with the green sofa ,can't see Carlo getting upset over the bannister gone XOXO
Going through a hard time, and two things give me peace: (1) prayer and my faith and (2) Nicki's Positano Diaries! So appreciative of both! Thank you, Nicki, for doing such a wonderful job to create an alternate reality for us. So enjoyable.
I love the bannister. Keep it
Get Webster on the line, Orderable needs to be a new word! I love that Carlo is getting more comfortable using English! It’s like we are getting to know him more!
While the cats away the mice will play springs to mind.. the room looks so much nicer without that bannister. Can’t wait to see his reaction and the new couches in place..
Your bond with Celine is so special! I can only imagine the mischief you two got into as little girls! ❤
You girls are having way too much fun 😂, the staircase looks so much better without the banister. Great to see Celina 😊.
We did the same with ours & it opened the space right up.
Tuscany really agrees with you two. You both look younger and so happy.
So exciting to see the house come to life. Looking forward to your next video and see how Carlo reacts to the missing iron rail and all your finished projects. The house is going to be beautiful.
The painted wall looks darker because it's in the shade. The other wall is well lighted. Good job with the paint! 😉
Found you about 2 weeks ago and have been binge watching ever since! Love all your videos. Carlo keep speaking English and Italian, it is why we follow you and Nicki!🌞 You are blessed with an amazing life, living in two beautiful parts of the world. Look forward to visiting Positano in October.🌍
I am glad to hear Carlo's father is improving and hope he comes home soon.
I am very much enjoying all of your adventures in and aroundbTuscany!!
However, just a thought, I am not sure of the wisdom of not having a banister, especially for the higher stairs on that section.
You could possibly find a banister more subtle in design that still offers the safety of going up and down the stairs. I have known others who thought they liked the look of open stairs without a banister. Then they realized, after traversing up and down, that there was a safety issue. So you may want to reconsider and find a very simple banister that could be painted the same color as the walls so it blends in. 'Just a suggestion.
You live in such a gorgeous part of Tuscany!! I love it. Can't wait for your next video!!❤
Ave a huge admiration fir people like yourselves, your so considerate in educating the public on real life adventures. We the public also learn lots of things we may have not known before regarding agriculture etc. I hope that your videos do bring you a good income as your dedication to the public dose take a lot of time and effort in preparation. I also watch your other TH-cam friends, American Viscount and Sara, Luka and their gorgeous little girl, i really enjoy your videos and hope you can continue, congratulations to all of you.😊
I’d paint the railing black. I think it’s beautiful ❤
Hi N & C… thank goodness Carlos‘s dad is fine… doing things behind Carlos’s back? You naughty girls, just kidding, (I’d probably do the same thing. ). 😂
I love it when women who do not have enough ”handyman” skills try to do a project, bravo to you ladies, it’s definitely doable. 👍
The stairs rail is so pretty and has character, what if you painted it your favorite green.?
Honestly, overall, you and Carlo are so amazing at working together and Nikki you are definitely creative and have wonderful energy. So far so good with your new lovely Haven. 🙏💜🙏💜🙏💜
I think it looks cleaner without the banister, but... for safety I would still want to have something there just in case. Maybe a glass one would look nice. It still gives a clean look, but with a bit more safety. Just my opinion. 😁
Loveeeeeeee the banister❤❤❤❤❤
I’m with Carlo , it looks much better with the bannister , sorry Nicki 😊
So happy that Carlo’s dad is recovering and all of his sons are taking care of him. ❤
I have been watching your channel for years and I’m so sorry people with comment who don’t belong here showed up. 😢
Just love how you’re trying to match colours. Wondering how the banister project is going to be solved. I’d love to see 2 videos a week.
PAINT THE BANNISTER BLACK AND IT WILL DISAPPEAR MORE AND BE SAFE AND STUNNING! 🥰
I love the banister lol 😂
I love the railing and would have just painted it.
Maybe spray paint both of the banisters flat black so they are less noticeable? Have you considered moving the sofa in front of the pillar and placing a narrow sofa table behind it with lamps ? Might make it less cramped.
Whatever you do it will be lovely.
I think Indy going to have fun climbing the stairs and jump over and land on the sofa
Oh noooo. Please leave the bannister in place but paint it black. It will be more subtle as opposed to the yellow. It is so Tuscan and truly fits the house. The stairs without the iron bannister are just that... stairs. The bannister gives character!! #TeamCarlo
#TeamCarlo. Mi piace il banister!❤😂
🐾🍃Love Sundays with you, Carlo, and your doggies! I think losing the iron stair bannister was a great idea..looks 100% better! Hope Carlo agrees. Nice to see you and Julie shopping together!💚
Such a fun girls night Skye, Celine and you - love, love 😂💕😂👍 Yes, agree..Carlo is a wonderful kind thoughtful husband, good human being 👍
I love the banister, I won’t walk up or down stairs when there is no handrail. First thing I had done when I bought the home I’m in now. Had handrails built.
Not the "Banaster"! That is the best thing about the house!!!😢 Please reconsider!
Love Celine she is hilarious ❤❤❤😂😂😂
Poor Carlo😳❤
Removing that bannister was a good idea - can’t wait to hear what Carlo thinks. I also like the colour you painted that outside wooden wall. Doesn’t matter that it’s not an exact match to one adjoining wall, and it blends better with the darker wall colour. Another great video, thanks🇦🇺😎🦘
Glad you took it down the banister! 👏🏻 Sorry Carlo 😅
Love Julie so much regular , and of course Nicky is always great. Lovely to see you guys together ❤
Please not
