I LOVE your live podcasts!
Your Snowbell sweater is really gorgeous!
I knit my husband Stonehaven sweater and he loves it. Gets lots of compliments.
What a fun live. I caught the replay and you always make me giggle😁 I am far from one to give advice but I knew we what you, Dina, tell me when there are issues or a teeny oops. The sweater is gorgeous so whatever your decision you should 100% complete it. Hugs from Montana💙💙
Finished my Bucket Hat while watching! Loved the live!
Hello Gail...
How are you doing today?
Really enjoy you ladies. Inspiring content and it is like sitting and sharing with fellow knitters. Podcasts like yours have been a saving grace during quarantine, post quarantine and Covid restrictions. Started Stephen"s Quadrangle Spires. Wish me luck.
Love the pretty glasses Dina!! Thanks Ladies!!!
Miss Dinah,
I would not frog it if you plan on reknittingit, BUT if you are not finding joy knitting the sea glass tee, then I would frog it and move on.
I ended up very happy with my seaglass tee. I used magic knot but I didn't do the join at the same spot on every row. Sometimes I switched colors before the end of a row and sometimes I switched colors at 1 row plus several more stitches. The idea is that magic knots should be staggered. No visible line!
Thank you for the insight
Hi, Ladies. Great to (digitally) see you. About the men's pattern question, I'm making Haskins by Brooklyn Tweed for my husband in Woolfolk Tov DK. Truth be told, I wish it was worsted so it would go faster! I'm kinda slow. :-)
You’re the celebrities!
On my sea glass tee i stopped changing both yarns every row because i noticed a visible line several inches in. Now i only change 1 color every 2-3 rows and it still looks very random. I like using the magic knot once i figured out how to do it, and the join varies by a few stitches on the row of change, not right where the next row begins. I can’t see any visible line on my sweater now and am much happier with it. I have not cut the magic knots short yet and may not even weave them in! I’ll see when I’m done. Hope that helps. I posted some pictures in my Instagram a while back. They don’t show the join area specifically, but show the yarns @janisbarr
Add decorative buttons to hide the change on the sweater.
Another idea for after you rip - a decorative stitch at the color change ?
Hi! Instead of ripping out can you add decorative buttons all the way down and wear them in the back. Give it a 1950s look when they used To wear their cardis backwards. Then you look stylish and you hide the issue.
Where did you get your coffee mug, Dina?
It was a gift from a client 💗 we do see some 😉
I have an error where I got of pattern slightly in my Like a Cloud too. I left it and wear it all of the time. I don’t think anyone will study my sweater hard enough to notice it.
Beautiful sweater “Snowbell” where can we buy the pattern?
I thought the scarf was Svetlana Gordon!
Start your Seaglass again Dinah xx
Have you tried Summer Lee knits technique for knitting in ends as you go? Use it all the time
Will check it out
Hi Dina, honestly the back of your sea glass would drive me nuts..... unless there’s a technique to hid it I wouldn’t make this sweater.
I'm working on Pink Fizz
I would not keep going. I would frog and start over.
Hello Julie..
How are you doing today?
I gave up the idea of knitting it.
Some people aren’t doin the magic knot. I wouldn’t continue.
Working on Pink Fizz
Pam on the hat, what is the circumference of the crown supposed to be. Please
I would rip it as well, sorry ⭐️
Can I ask what’s the name of Dina’s sweater? Snow bell? Thanks
Snowbell. It’s a pattern on the cover of book 2104 Sandnes Garn
Pam, why are your sleeves different lengths?!
What technique are you talking about? I can’t quite catch what you are saying. Thanks
If you’re talking about my Seaglass we were talking about the Magic Knot Techniques
I’d rip it you will not wear it that way
