That makes sense, I'm so use to the z125 having taller gearing I forget the Grom for 2022 is geared so different. I love both bikes, but I will admit the Grom is more comfortable and I like the wider feel of it vs the more compact z125 but the Grom definitely has more pull in the lower gears.

am currently changing my gears based on how the bike sounds...if it sounds like the rev is too high, I shift up.

2nd gear easily cruises around 20, 3rd if you wanna keep the rpms mellow
First 3 gears in Grom are shorter for 2022 making it quicker
