I am in love with how this song fits the whole Mo dao zu shi characters such as Wei Ying (Red), Lan Zhan (White) , Nie Huaisang(Black), and Jin Zixuan(Yellow), and Jin ling (Gold) its such beautyyyyyyyyyy
True but its not only the colors but also their description Red: "fills my dreams and brings me to the place you rest" Jian Cheng did indeed investigate the place where Wei Wu Xian died sparing no effort. As for the dreams part maybe it happened without the novel mentioning that *shrugs shoulder * White: "is cold and always yearning burdened by a royal test" Lan Wanji does have a cold appearance but he is indeed yearning for Wei Wu Xian's return and is quite burdened by the way the world tests his patience and loyalty Black: honestly if it was just "black" i would put Xue Yang but as soon as i remembered the "black the beast decends from shadows" i kinda changed my mind to Wen Ning cause even if he isn't a beast most of the people unjustly view him as something even worse, as for "descends from shadows" part we could both use it for an additional description of an action scene like "at that moment just before the final blow happened he descended from the shadows and turned the tables by..." Or we could use it as a metaphor since he died onc- sorry twice, in a similar context of "he arouse from the dead, descended from the underworld..." Yellow: "yellow beauty burns" probably talking about his burning passion to protct! 1:09 I just can't stop crying when I see his expression and think about all he's been through. He lost his parents at such young age, he did not even have occasion to see how wonderful person his mother (and imo father as well) was. He holds onto his hatred towards WWX, but when he meets him, he gets used to him and even starts to like him? He's so afraid of losing only person which he can blame for his parents' death, because he thinks revenge is the most important, which I think he took after Jiang Cheng. Idk, his story just hits me hard like a truck and I'm so happy that after all WWX could show him this family warmth, which he never got from his uncle.
I wish WWX can gave his warmth to Jiang Cheng as well after returning to life .. Jiang Cheng also never get the warmth from anyone except Jiang Yanli and Wei Wuxian ..
Actually jiang cheng does care for jin ling on a level and tries to provide him with family love but hes not really good at it considering how his parents raised him but yeah he's trying.
That really hurt me. Thing that Jing Ling and Jiang Cheng actually had only each other as a family. JL, all he could take from his environment he took from JC. He learned to (or tried to copy) talk like him. And his coping mechanism is similar. JC no matter what he says to JL or how he threatens his nephew pretty much spoils him. And I cry at every mention of their relationship
0:36- 0:40 that transition really broke my heart. From a bright and always smiling person to an defeated looking one just makes my heart break. And when the song says, 'white is cold and always yearning' for LWJ's part, my heart breaks yet again. AHHHHH I LOVE IT, I have been a fan of rwby for 7 years and it is my favorite series, the truth was I was thinking a lot about doing an au of rwby x mdzs, since many characters look alike, but black does not convince me, since also the Blake's characteristic color (black) is purple and there is a great desire to protect his family and much more. anyway i love rwby and mdzs.
