funny, i actually love sketching at night because none of my siblings are up so there not disturbing me and its nice and quiet enough for me to really feel relaxed and focused. plus, i get done with my school work (in a charter school) at around 6:00 PM.

Hi Teoh. Had to take a long break from drawing to focus on school and work. I love this sketch, even if you feel it is muted. I really like that you can self-criticize without simply feeling like its not good or that your drawing is bad. I painted today for the first time in almost a year and I feel I am not as good anymore. I will practice like you do, outside. ☺

+Rebecca Nelson That's a long time you haven't draw. Better to draw something small regularly than not draw for so long 😂

Wonderful! I love your narration, it has helped me to enjoy urban sketching much more. You are right about actually being on location, soaking in the atmosphere :) I love catching the vibes. Something I might not have noticed until you said it. Now when I go out it'll even be that much better now that I am aware of that. Thank you!

Wonderful. Sky: You seem to mix your colour on the paper. It give it a cool electric feel.

It's more interesting for a flat wash to have some transition while retaining the overall colour.

Cool a night sketch! ^_^ You captured the essence of that scene beautifully! Don't worry. You're well on your way to becoming a full time TH-camr. Your subscriber number grows by the hour and I'm sure your subscribers are passing your name around. I know am. :-)

One thing I love about your art is it's simplicity. You sketch people and buildings with such simple shapes, yet they all look unique and when you add colour, it just comes to life and looks perfect. I think my biggest problem as an artist is I think too much and I'm far too much of a perfectionist. I really need to get a travel sketchbook and just sit somewhere and try to sketch as freely as you do.
I'm interested in the coloured pens you use, how do they compare to the coloured Sakura microns? (If you've ever used them)
Thank you for this vid! I feel inspired!

Sometimes you can try the draw-like-you-don't-care technique.

Thank you for showing yourself sketching! I just love watching you work! Very nice job! Have you ever sold a whole sketch book? I wonder if we could submit a whole sketchbook to a publisher to have them publish the whole book, so that the published book will resemble your actual original sketchbook?

+Bestbrushstroke Hi, I have created some eBooks of my sketchbooks in the past but it was too much work. So I don't think I'll publish a physical book.
