@@BassGeek absolutely better by the day , blasted into some smallys not 24 hrs out !!!! Speakin of smallys would love to see some future episodes fully dedicated to them !!!
You're the reason I'm so deep into all my current fishing purchases!!! About 2 years ago it alllll started with buying skirts and that skirt tool. Now we're fully making jigs, painting hard baits, building spinners....I need to just go fishing! #100percentwatchsquad
Great stuff Hank! Tennessee Two-Step has caught me plenty of fish! I haven’t fished a swim jig in a while, but I’ll make sure to after the spawn here soon
Thanks for the great tutorial Hank! I am not a big swim jig fan. I haven't fished them much, and have never caught anything on them. I think I have been doing wrong. Ill check out those Omega's and try it again.
The bluegill swim jig for me is definitely my go to And a top water walking bait in bone all because of Hank. I catch good quality fish on these. I haven’t tried a craw trailer on a bluegill jig I usually use a swim bait , time to try something new
I don't fish a swim jig much because I have never caught much on one so I don't have a lot of confidence fishing it.. I guess I need to give it another shot.. Love the videos and look forward to the next.. #100watchsquad
#100percentwatchsquad A swim jig is one of my absolute favorite baits! I call them the Swiss army knife of my tackle box for good reason! I fish them along grass lines and weed edges as well as near timber or heavy structure and cover. They're great when that water is pressured and a spinnerbait or chatterbait might be a bit much. Just so versatile!
So you found my weak spot. Between 20 boxes of plastics, and 12 other boxes of hard baits, I have two swim jigs. Not sure why. I had success with a chartreuse and white one. Time to get back in the game. #100percentwatchsquad ✌️😎🎣
There is a story of why I haven't been putting out any fishing videos. Keeping some things hush hush and learning for upcoming years. I'll talk about it soon.
Bass geek when it comes to drop shot How do gauge how long the hook is tied from the weight? What’s your usual for open water and fish drop shot near cover
Lots. Without electronics giving me any info. I first I think about how much action I want. If it's cold they may want less action so a shorter leader will do verses if its warmer maybe just a little longer. So 6in in cold water to 15 in warmer water. Next is cover. Again if I can't see the bass and how high they are sitting then play with leader length. Do I want it down in the cover or over it. So I adjust accordingly. I will fish around boulders on a lake near me with a 5ft leader at times in the spring and summer. My go to is simple it's just 6in-15in most of the time however.

It's a great bait when the shad are spawning and the sun comes up and when the gills are bedding.
