Rip Medal of honor... for all the great memories you brought to the rising generation of gamers... new and old.. You taught us games can bring emotion, and provoke memories.. In the end we were taught the true nature of ww2...
+kieran Doody There was one good COD. The one that had USSR/UK/US chapters, with the infamous 'one man takes a rifle, another takes ammunition' scene, the battles over red square, etc. Well, at least the soviet part of it was very good.
Its very weird... but everytime I get tears in my eyes, listening to this. Its a mixture of my childhood, Outstanding music, World War 2. This is more then just a game, its a masterpiece.
Back then when I was a girl this song in combination with that mission always left a surreal impression on me. That nice countryside opposed to that beautiful and sad song, introduced by that gorgeous, innocent choir boy's singing. Surreal when I was 12 and still to this very day.
I used to love playing this level just for the music. When you meet that guy from the 82nd airborne and try to keep him alive and if he dies the music makes you give a moment to him. haha
we take time for granted man I miss being a kid playing this absolute masterpiece this was the true flagship for fps games I played my GameCube daily trying to beat this awesome game I believe this game came in either 2001 or 2002 man here we are 15 years later in my opinion greatest fps ever made with the best music
seems like just yesterday I was 13 years old playing this game on my GameCube in front of my moms TV now here I am almost 15 years later with a little girl of my own crazy how time flies
3 great uncles of mine died during world war 2, 2 on my moms side of the family and 1 on my dads also my great grandmothers brother that i believe who fought with the russians but i dont know if was just killed during all the shit happening or fighting the germans but when i listen to this song i think of them and i never met them
Giacchino deserved/es some kind of award for this soundtrack....it is one of the best I have ever heard. This is the kind of song that makes people cry.
Got the sound track awesome setup freaking movie soundtrack , When i play the game its like i a playing a movie not a game. Frontline was the best instlment of the MOH Series !!!
That makes me think to a Luftwaffe veteran, a fighter pilot I saw in a TV report. He flew over Netherlands during Operation Market Garden, and he said that it has been really hard, morally and mentally speaking, to strafe unarmed objectives like the C-47 and the gliders, which he knew were full of well-equipped soldiers, but unable to defend themselves. He had the feeling that it wasn't a fair fight, but just a clay-pigeons shooting.
@napoletanone91 Which is why its paramount for everyone to remember the past and NEVER forget the lessons learned from it, so we can apply that to our future.
I'll never be able to comment on every video for this game, but damn if this is one game that will stick in my memory forever due to the unforgetable scores. every track and atmosphere it created were damn near perfect.
this game is better than all cod games I know when I was like 6 years old playing splitscreen with my dad and fucking shit up It's sad that I have to play the game alone now cause he died R.I.P dad
This song reminds me of walking through those fields in Holland, seeing the paratrooper hanging from the windmill and feeling so bad because you could do nothing to help him.. Like you got there too late.. Damn good times, and great game..
Christian Bethel Oh yes, we can't forget Airborne, that was good one until EA sold out to the Modern Warfare crowd. Then again, the Modern Warfare Medal of Honors were actually pretty good, regardless of what the critics said.
this music is sooooo relaxingly beautiful:) i could listen to this song and soundtrack all day, moh is one of the greatest games out. R.I.P. to all of the soilders in wwll god bless them and there families
Je suis entièrement d'accord avec toi. Cette musique est très triste. C'est aussi un hommage à tous ces hommes américains, anglais, canadiens et français qui sont morts pour la liberté des peuples. I agree with you. This song is very sad. But it pays tribute to us, canadian, english and french men who are dead for the freedom and the peace.
im glad o kept my xbox version i play this map alot and somtimes i would just stand and listen to the music and look and the surroundings when there are no enemys near.
@mbmh007 My family made the United States our home in 1957. We came from Hessen, Germany. So, you can guess which side my family fought on. I'm not ashamed of it, in fact, I served in the US Army because I love this country so much. But my grandmother didn't believe the Holocaust happened until 1976. She didn't believe Germany, or anyone, could ever do something like that. My grandfather took her to Sobibor and it was only then did she believe. Pretty unbelievable.
Hey gidi medal of honor bee!!! Playstationda oynuyordum. Ozaman playstationlarda çok değerliydi. Hey gidi günler. Gözlerimden yaş geldi. Ahh ne kadarda çabuk akıyor zaman. Toprak olup gidecez. Geride hatıralar kalacak.
We are talking about this beautiful game that marks the life of each of us what to say about it, just to thank for the moments when my grandmother made my coffee while I played before going to school. ;D
My first FPS, first WW2 game... and my first love. Some years after I started to despise it for the player being a one man army. But once more I remember it fondly, and the music helps.
Man i almost cried when i heard this song again.. good memories from the man in the windmill that crashed with hes parachute.. R.I.P old world at war games :(
@Tox1cw4st3 Im an Australian, and have always wanted to play a WWII game as Australians, but sadly never have, and probably never will. However I do enjoy playing as the Americans, that being the game is somewhat historically accurate (Looks at BIA: Furious 4). I still strongly feel a sense of courage and bravery being portrayed on soldiers of WWII, especially playing as a frontline soldier in some of the most historical and bloody battles (D-Day, Market Garden)
this song is the one i love so much went i playing MOH frontline / en première ligne in french, this song is sad that why i love it and because you alone with lot of germany in front of you
my child hood old games are that will never die down like the medal of honor series for ps2 an xbox a lot of memeries an now xbox 360 an ps3 going away now xboxone an ps4 comming in
@4netflixuse Im glad you agree with me mate. Infact most, if not all the German Soldiers in Western Europe had no idea about the concentration camps, they were just doing their duties for their country whilst also being away from their family.
That was my first shooter ever. I LOVE THE PLAYSTATION 2. I've never heard a better soundtrack before and after this game. So much love. It's kinda sad that they fucked up the new Medal of Honors, which have nothing to do with the classics. I still own MoH: Frontline HD for the PS3. And of course I've platinumed it! (On the PS2, I couldn't even finish it on "normal")
my grandfathers brothers fought in ww2 ........one on land one on ship and one in the plane. They fought on Iwo Jima..........my grandpa didn't fight because they didn't want the whole family to get wiped out.I think he was the one who was suppose to fight in the plane.
I'm glad to see people don't hate us, some people can be so frustrating. They live from the past and group an entire ethnicity on one generation of men. And not all soldiers were like that anyway. People need to learn to read up on there history before they tell us Germans we are so bad and evil, and how we could live like this. :/ doesnt make any sense at all
a similar happened to my grandfather that happened to the paratrooper in the begining of the level, on d-day he landed behind the german lines in a tree over a german mg emplacement, he took out all the germans and lived though
you are right... it is so amazing how the music tracks from games like this and movies of this genre are such inspiring, and haunting scores. Rock is good... but they dont give the feel of these games... what level is this score from?
@angelustt i know exactly what you mean. in fact when on occasion one of the two guys going with me dies, i kneel beside him pretend to do a prayr then aim straight up and do a honor shot. im sorry if im sounding like a drama queen but that music gets to me the way you say it does, minus the uncertain future part but yeah i can understand that too
Man this is a nice piece of music. I know I heard a voice calling Jimmy after I hit the ground..........and every time I played the level I always tried to look for him by the house or somewhere....I didn't know he was in the WindmilI I knew the germans got to him I tried to save him but.................): the song really touched me.........it went so well with the level.I wish I had my MOH games again........to bad I sold my PS2 and games on ebay.I wish I had them again.
Guys in the walmart in my area they are selling frontline, Rising sun and european assult for 20$ altogether for the PS2. why not look for it there? sorrry for xbox, i have no info about that.
(to slappytheclown10) Hurrah, I found back the name of the German fighter pilot I talked about, 5 months ago !! He's Walter Ibold, pilot in the 304th day fighters squadron, on Focke-Wulf 190.
@jimmyxx3 I do remember seeing a german in this game talking to somebody don't remember who it was but it sounded like someone he cared for and I tried so hard to skip him but I couldn't... Probably in this war much of these situations happened...
@VictumRoManius i actually managed to save him once by cooking the grenades and chucking them at where the bullets come from. still couldn't get him down though. probably still there.
"Hey Jimbo! Can you give me a hand?"
John Maverick .... so sad...
let's hope battlefield makes a ww2 game something like this
That moment of the game was so exceedingly tough.
Press F to mourn... and by mourn I mean mowing down as many nazi's as I can with my Thompson
"He was my best buddy. He was the only person I ever let call me Jimbo. I will kill all you Nazi Bastards"
Moral of MoH is to never let your parachute get stuck on a windmill.
The game was verry good with an epic story, but the music was even better! :p
This really became a part of my childhood.
Mine too
Same here dude may all soldiers both axis and allies rest in peace
Same nice words my friend
Rip Medal of honor... for all the great memories you brought to the rising generation of gamers... new and old..
You taught us games can bring emotion, and provoke memories.. In the end we were taught the true nature of ww2...
to know war you have to live it. but I do agree that it shows more than call of duty which is just "Kill stuff"
kieran Doody Call of duty is basically the boring side of war, MoH was more based around single action espionage for say.
***** same with me. now if there's anything from the 1940s that I don't like it would probably be impossible to find
+kieran Doody There was one good COD. The one that had USSR/UK/US chapters, with the infamous 'one man takes a rifle, another takes ammunition' scene, the battles over red square, etc. Well, at least the soviet part of it was very good.
+Hayden Waterson That us CoD 2 i believe. US forces in france the British in North Africa and the Soviets retaking Russia pushing the nazis back West
Its very weird... but everytime I get tears in my eyes, listening to this.
Its a mixture of my childhood, Outstanding music, World War 2.
This is more then just a game, its a masterpiece.
No it isn't weird. You've found out what art means.
Back then when I was a girl this song in combination with that mission always left a surreal impression on me.
That nice countryside opposed to that beautiful and sad song, introduced by that gorgeous, innocent choir boy's singing.
Surreal when I was 12 and still to this very day.
Absolutely, the game and soundtrack are absolute masterpieces
I almost cry listening to this just because of the beginning of this mission... RIP paratrooper we will never forget...
I always pictured that moment being what drove Patterson to cut down so many Germans afterward.
For all we knew, that could have been his friend.
the definition of pure beauty in music.
I used to love playing this level just for the music. When you meet that guy from the 82nd airborne and try to keep him alive and if he dies the music makes you give a moment to him. haha
I genuinely think this soundtrack is the pinnacle of Michael Giacchinos work and it barely gets any recognition!
we take time for granted man I miss being a kid playing this absolute masterpiece this was the true flagship for fps games I played my GameCube daily trying to beat this awesome game I believe this game came in either 2001 or 2002 man here we are 15 years later in my opinion greatest fps ever made with the best music
"Hey Jimbo can you give a hand".....sigh, farewell unnamed paratrooper :(
He's actually named Timothy Connor. He's the translator mentioned in the briefing.
Gesus elsaviour Your name was Jimmy and he called you Jimbo, means he was a friend.
"Is this your first drop Patterson or is your aim as bad as mine? We better see if anyone else is around, then we'll get you to town."
Barnes lives on in our hearts...
Barnes was a legend.
Windmill para-trooper...you have been avenged
seems like just yesterday I was 13 years old playing this game on my GameCube in front of my moms TV now here I am almost 15 years later with a little girl of my own crazy how time flies

Giacchino deserved/es some kind of award for this soundtrack....it is one of the best I have ever heard. This is the kind of song that makes people cry.
I miss back when shooter/war game is based from WWII.
those were the best
No Heart Ever tried Sniper Elite 1-3. Those games are great fps based on ww2. If that's to suffice towards your cause.
Dont cry, dont cry.,,
Good luck with that.
Back when war games had music that stood up to war film music
Probably the best soundtrack ever made for a game
From The era when Medal Of Honor was good, those days will be missed
Props to Micheal Giacchino, the most versatile composer out there! Beautifully done.
Got the sound track awesome setup freaking movie soundtrack , When i play the game its like i a playing a movie not a game. Frontline was the best instlment of the MOH Series !!!
In here 10 year later to say that this game is 19 years old and its soundtrack is still unmatched and will never be equaled. Truly a masterpiece
Tres belle musique dommage qu'on fasse pas autant aujourd'hui dans les jeux
That makes me think to a Luftwaffe veteran, a fighter pilot I saw in a TV report.
He flew over Netherlands during Operation Market Garden, and he said that it has been really hard, morally and mentally speaking, to strafe unarmed objectives like the C-47 and the gliders, which he knew were full of well-equipped soldiers, but unable to defend themselves.

@napoletanone91 Which is why its paramount for everyone to remember the past and NEVER forget the lessons learned from it, so we can apply that to our future.
I want to play some of these songs in my Funeral with the Classic MOH and COD Themes.
Oh, I remember the feeling. Every time I played that level.
*me to my brother:* hey, guess what this music is from, it was in an old game we used to play :)
*brother starts crying*
*me:* correct
*I walk in and cry cold on the floor*
I'll never be able to comment on every video for this game, but damn if this is one game that will stick in my memory forever due to the unforgetable scores. every track and atmosphere it created were damn near perfect.
Its been over 20 years since I first played this, still come here from time to time
"US! Don't shoot! DON'T SHOOT! 86nd Airborne Private First Class Terry Langteau - mind if I tag along?"
Cette musique nous rappelle tout les périodes difficile durant la seconde guerre mondiale j'aime cette musique
this game is better than all cod games
I know when I was like 6 years old playing splitscreen with my dad and fucking shit up
It's sad that I have to play the game alone now cause he died R.I.P dad
+Senne Vercruyssen oh shit
sorry for your loss
This song reminds me of walking through those fields in Holland, seeing the paratrooper hanging from the windmill and feeling so bad because you could do nothing to help him.. Like you got there too late.. Damn good times, and great game..
Michael Giacchino, please come back to the Medal of Honor series. We need you.
You will remain in my memory as long as I live
sooo beautiful, but has sadness and peace to it at the same time
i love moh, 1 of the greatest games ever
R.I.P. all the brave soldiers
This song always reminds me of Band of Brothers
Mustang09 great films 👍👍👍👍
One of the highlights of Giacchino's soundtrack. Beautiful.
Probably one of the best soundtracks I have ever heard.
I was going to point out some time stamps that were especially beautiful but they were continuous.
who remembers war of the servers?
This is such beautiful and emotional music. 4:54-5:10 is my fav part:)
this brings back memories
i cried when listening to it and when you se the countryside and hollands people beautiful
This is a lovely song
of MEDAL OF HONOR
"HEY JIMBO, MIND GIVIN' ME A HAND HERE?"
Superb game, but the soundtrack?! Still listening in 2019
Same, it is right up there with halo 1-3 and odst for me
@@tm1182 no reach? 🤔 but yeah, I agree! (ODST's my fav game soundtrack of all time)
this and rising sun were great, the rest were ok
+FordFalcon1962nBlue Don't forget Medal of Honor: Allied Assault, that one was the best.
Christian Bethel
Oh yes, we can't forget Airborne, that was good one until EA sold out to the Modern Warfare crowd. Then again, the Modern Warfare Medal of Honors were actually pretty good, regardless of what the critics said.
+M1GarandMan3005 Agreed!
@@M1GarandMan3005 Medal of honour 2010 was SUPER underrated. kicked the shit out of warfighter aswell
Awesome..touch my heart
this music is sooooo relaxingly beautiful:) i could listen to this song and soundtrack all day, moh is one of the greatest games out.
R.I.P. to all of the soilders in wwll god bless them and there families
So many memories :(
I personally think this is the best track in the game. My salute to you Lt. Jimmy Patterson
I do miss playing this game i grewed up playing the medal of honor series but frontline was my favorite out of the series.
the best idea ive heard in a very long time.
Je suis entièrement d'accord avec toi. Cette musique est très triste. C'est aussi un hommage à tous ces hommes américains, anglais, canadiens et français qui sont morts pour la liberté des peuples.

This this makes games worth living for.
why is this the only game i tear up for?
its so amazing
and i still play it
@DONUTSREVENGED The opening scene to that movie took place at Omaha beach so there wouldn't be any British or Canadian soldiers there.

This song is sad but absoulety beautiful.
(to slappytheclown10)

@Briselance there we go, yah i didnt know his name but he did some sick stuff
the sadest level is this level and arnhm knights
So sad they don't make MOH's like this anymore..
@DONUTSREVENGED In the level "Arnhem Knights" you fight alongside brits for a good part of it.
2019 anyone
2020 brother
@Lawrence4Roosters you sir are completely right. i totally agree with you
sorry for my bad english its not my motherlanguage
