Covid and the brain: A neurological health crisis

  • Brain fog. Memory lapses. Difficulties focusing or sustaining attention. All these cognitive issues have plagued some who have otherwise recovered from a bout of Covid-19. In this video, Stanford neurologist Michelle Monje describes her work showing how even mild respiratory infections with the SARS-CoV-2 virus may lead to lingering problems with the brain.
Monje, who has long treated and studied cancer patients with similar symptoms following chemotherapy, says that the damage isn’t necessarily caused by the virus itself. Instead, her work suggests that inflammatory molecules released in the lungs of someone with Covid may trigger a reaction of immune cells in the brain.
These brain cells, called microglia, then start a cascade of signals that alter the behavior of other brain cells, eventually slowing communication between neurons. The good news, Monje says, is that the similarities to what she calls “chemobrain” may mean that many of these persistent cognitive problems will improve with time, just as chemobrain does.

    Neuroinflammation During RNA Viral Infections
Some RNA viruses can infiltrate the brain and central nervous system. While the immune response often succeeds in clearing the pathogen, it may also cause inflammation and, in some cases, persistent changes that result in neurologic and psychiatric disease.

And that's on the sorry state of our global politics now. People are falling apart from hunger, poverty, little food, food shortages, supply chain issues and the fact that all western countries are being overloaded with 3rd world grifters and squatters. We're being forced to fund the illegals' lifestyles and it affects everyone's emotions bigtime. There's only so much we can handle before we reach the breaking point. Add in Covid to the mix and things can be worse than we even know. I know a lot of people who've never had Covid and they are just angry and frustrated with everyday life now. Not sure that Covid is to blame as much as this vid wants to make it appear.

My 50 year old husband had severe Covid pneumonia and was hospitalized twice. He now has lung nodules. It’s like covid aged him 30 years. It’s like he’s 80 years old now. His memory is terrible, depression, confusion, horrible brain fog, has a bad tremor now. He can hardly write now. Even he can’t read his own writing now. He can’t type on a computer keyboard or cell phone keyboard because his hands shake so bad. Covid ruined his and my life. Not only this but it killed my healthy 71 year old mother. Covid has ruined my life, my husband’s life and stole my beloved mom from our family. 😭

I'm scared....my husband got covid he's 61 and double pneumonia was put in tge hospital on Dec. 25, 2022 and he was in tge hospital for 2 weeks came home he started getting weak and I finally took him back to the hospital he still was OK mentally but physically he was sick...and not getting better..... I was in the hospital with him this last time I refuse to leave him...and he woke up one day after taking a nap (he was normal like everyone else he had NO MENTAL disorders or nothing!!!! He was a machine operator most of his adult life so he wasnt dumb or mentally impaired) he woke up and he couldn't tell you what month it was ...what day of the week it was... he couldn't tell you what he had for breakfast or his son's name ... some of that cleared up but he's still stares at you really hard thinking...he just lays in bed right now he's in a rehab nursing home to build up muscle again because he was sick for so long and he has had 6 strokes in the past ..that was 7 years ago or longer...even after his strokes he left the hospital 2 weeks later...
Like I said he's in a nursing home and I'm scared I'm not going to get my husband back...I personally don't care what state he's in I'll care for him at home as soon as I get him walking again...what I'm scared about is having to leave him for a few days ...because he doesn't communicate he lays in his bed dazed I have been with him literally 24 hours a day since the hospital and I'm afraid leaving him that he's not going to get taken care of properly...truth be told he doesn't now and I'm with him.. I have to do it or it doesn't get done which I don't mind but I won't be here for a few days and I'm scared to death ...he has a cell phone but he doesn't know to pick it up when it rings... I'm like a parent of a small child again...its scary
I pray this gets better ...how is your husband since writing your comment?

Same with my family. We caught Covid Dec of 2020. Within a week, my husband had a stroke (at 66 yrs old) requiring brain surgery, I had Covid pneumonia and hospitalized for 8 days (at 58 yrs old). My 28 yr old son developed myocarditis and has been treated for it twice now. The 2nd time after a booster. My husband has totally changed, personality wise....struggles with language and now has dementia. My digestive tract has been awful for 2 years (developed ulcerative colitis and can only eat a handful of different foods) and my lung capacity had diminished quite noticeably. My son still suffers from fatigue and heart palpitations. It ruined our lives and we use Mayo Clinic for all our medical needs.

Has anyone noticed that mistakes are being made a lot these days just in the course of doing routine business with various companies and businesses? This has been happening for at least the past 2-3 years and is still very noticeable. I'm an older person, and its particularly noticeable in healthcare. I chalked this up to the general trauma and distraction of pandemic but now I am beginning to wonder if there are just loads of employees who are fumbling in the workplace due to having had CV. If so, this is another layer of sadness to this whole ordeal we are all experiencing.

Yes, I thought I was the only one noticing this! It’s awful cuz in a few instances I’ve been left with the consequences of other people’s mistakes, not able to do anything about it. I was worried the quality of people or lack of skills businesses are hiring has gone downhill but maybe this is the reason. Either way, it’s not good & doesn’t seem like it’s going to get better any time soon. I’ve told my kids certain things we’ve witnessed an employee do or mistakes or carelessness they’ve made, that it was unacceptable 10 years ago.

I had COVID early in the pandemic. March 2020. Even now I have a persistent “brain fog”. Even what I would call “post stroke” like impairments to my thought process. What scares me, as a COVID unit nurse, is what I have seen in my patients. There are many that cannot process even some of the simplest information during their admissions and at discharge. Young or old, COVID impacts their ability to process information. It shows no mercy. Even worse, many of the admissions with COVID, are fully vaccinated, and have had boosters. This virus has had a deep impact on humanity that I feel we are only seeing the tip of the iceberg at this time.

I was recovering from knee surgery and caught Covid in hospital. The first seizure was only small but the second was big and quite terrifying. Transferred to IDU and isolated for 7 days and was administered 3 doses of the drug to fight the Covid. At that stage I felt ok but really couldn’t eat much and lost 8 kilos. The hardest was not being able to get a hug from husband and kids. When I got home I was ok during the day but for about a week couldn’t be alone in the bedroom. Terrified that something would happen.
The weirdest thing is I now have this calmness and acceptance that I never had before. Had PTSD, depression and anxiety and that seems to have faded away. It’s strange, like I’m another person.sleeping and eating are back to normal, food tastes a little strange still and brain fog is there especially when I do crosswords. I really hope everyone comes out of this ok and to the scientists remember the words from Jurassic Park, “ just because you can, doesn’t mean you should”.

This is definitely a real thing. I have felt fatigued and 'foggy' for about 4 1/2 months since I got over the worst symptoms from contracting some form of the virus at the end of last May. During the 7 or 8 days I was particularly ill from this infection, I could sense that both my brain and peripheral nervous system were affected. Besides my extremely sensitive skin and cognitive malfunctioning, I also had some GI issues. While those symptoms are mostly gone, I am currently battling the chronic fatigue and a sense of depression that I cannot seem to shake. My psycho-motor and physical co-ordination abilities have also been adversely affected. This is real - and it's no fun.

This makes me want to cry listening to this. I feel like it’s finally an answer to what I’ve been through. I had a very mild case of covid in August of 2020 then a significant case of covid in January of 22’. I remember having so much inflammation in my body, including my head. For months after covid I felt very significant pain in my brain whenever I bent over or leaned forward I had terrible memory problems and brain fog as time went on. It got better, but the pressure remained. It finally worsened again. Last winter I had an MRI of my brain, and they were concerned that I had intercranial hypertension due to a finding of a partially empty sella. I was tossed around between doctors before I could actually see someone and told that I did not have intercranial hypertension, I just had headaches. In April of this year I had my first bad annual review at work in over 30 years. I was told that I was working too slow and got too easily distracted. I’ve always felt like I was giving it everything I had at this job even while I worked through the symptoms of Covid and as difficult as was. It crushed me to have this review, and I ultimately left this job. I’ve never been able to explain what happened to my brain after covid but now I feel like I may have an answer. But what I do without answer I have no clue.

I have extreme fatigue and suffer from major depressive disorder. My life changed in 2020 and I do think I dealt with long Covid. We still don’t know the long term effects and I think they are coming to light but not fast enough. I’m glad there are people not giving up in finding answers.

Just coming here to say I’m a 29ye old female - mother of 2. I have full on neurological problems - and ongoing spinal pain. My hormones tanked… gastro issues came from no where land. It’s a systemic dysfunction that is both terrifying and horrible. My life flipped upside down and while I’ve gotten better it’s a constant battle. Trying to live my life ultra anti-inflammatory. Doing everything to correct my bodies errors. But I fear for those who do not have the love and support of family. 🥺 or medical help… because it’s going to take a team of doctors to get after each damaged layer.

@@jamiebury1807 You will need years to get answers, the most probable is you will very soon be diagnosed with depression without any test done and you will be given medication which won’t help you. It’s a very very hard obstacle course.
I have a Sjögren syndrome with all the symptoms described in the video. For ALL the doctors these symptoms have nothing to do with my Sjögren. I have a general inflammation of my body though and I’m convinced I have an inflammation somewhere in the head but I’m not heard. I’m sick since 2015, I had to stop working in 2016 and I’m still in my 💩
Oh! I forgot to explain that doctors know nothing about Sjögren but they do as if they knew.
Last year, a doctor in a hospital told me I should do a lumbar puncture to check wether I had a chronic meningitis (when another doctor had told me the only existing inflammation of the brain was only meningitis and I would be in ER not speaking with her 🙄…). No news after 10 months (I called 4 times). Yeah… because recently I learned Sjögren can cause chronic meningitis, it’s even on the official site of the Sjögren’s association as if it was a known fact by everyone… It took me 6 years to discover it. Doctors ALWAYS minimise your symptoms. It’s always the stress, because you’re obese or don’t exercise or don’t eat the right food.

But when I watch the news and I see people just losing their tempers with each other and lashing out more and more, I question if this is not a bigger problem right now that is not being addressed. Just think about it millions of people walking around with mood swings and tempers without the normal filter on so to speak, it’s very concerning and something they need to look at.

I survived the first round of SARS-Covid 2 (aka “Covid-19”) in March/April 2020 but couldn’t “shake off” the brain fog, gastro-intestinal problems and never-ending exhaustion. The brain fog has lifted in many respects over time. Also, I’ve found a lot of comfort in God’s Word (memorizing verses helps), an improved attitude and strength with a daily multivitamin and supplements (Vit. C, Vit. D, Zinc and Magnesium), working on drinking more water, reducing coffee and scheduling more time to rest (take a small dose of melatonin each night if you tend to resist falling asleep right away.). “Seek the LORD while He may be found, call on Him while He is near. Let the wicked forsake his way and the evil man his thoughts. Let him turn to the LORD, and He will have mercy on him, and to our God, for He will freely pardon.” ~ Isaiah 55:6-7

Most everyone in this thread says that they are experiencing brain fog. The comment below yours says that she turned it around by avoiding rest, and stayed very busy--but not advisable if you have to drive or operate machinery. Another comment was that she turned around her symptoms by taking doses of omega 3 fish oil, working up to a tablespoon per day and turned her symptoms around after 3 months. That treatment implies brain inflammation, so another possible treatment would be an anti-inflammatory dies, i.e., keto diet; you can look it up online: I recommend Dr. Berg (chiropractor and health expert). Prayers for you.

18 yrs ago I suffered a traumatic brain injury that left me with memory, cognitive, processing ect issues & in a foggy state that lasted 2 yrs. When the covid brain fog hit.......it was EXACTLY the same type of brain fog....actually it's still going on just the severity waxes & wains. It scared me so bad it was the first thing I pointed out to every single medical professional I came into contact with because if you've ever had a tbi, you certainly do not want a repeat performance. It wasn't just "brain fog". I was in an altered state of mind, here but not here, for months. Words fail to describe it. Even now, it's still present......just not as severe as it was initially.
COVID left me with severe CHF & fairly severe COPD, plus lord only knows what's going on in my brain as I've yet to see a neurologist they were too worried about my heart. I was a very active person who worked a very physically demanding job........ Now I'm doing good if I can wash a sink of dishes, sweep the floor, pick up a room. That's hard on a person. Family doesn't quite "get" that I'm back where I once was with the TBI. Filling out forms.....I get "lost" & overwhelmed. This means I need help filing disability ect. Yet everyone seems to assume I can literally just do this......and aren't really listening or understanding when I say I can't. I was an active 50 something woman who now feels like she's trapped in a 90 something body.
Also want to input here that there are periods of time when I feel like I'm again actively sick with covid & it lasts for days. Not sure wth that is about.
THIS is the sort of thing that needed/needs to be stress in the media about covid. Yes, deaths are a big deal, but you have far more people being disabled by the virus than are dying. The public is so utterly confused by why there is an employee shortage being suffered by every area across the economy......and I just think to myself the likely cause......is too many are suffering from long covid. smh
A century out & science is still learning about the 1918 virus. We've barely scratched the surface with covid. We're taking risks we should know better than to be taking in these modern times. I think we're just now beginning to see the consequences of those risks. smh

This was all because of my inability to have a coherent conversation or fill out forms as you mentioned. Thanks for highlighting the difficulty we faced. I can say, from reading comments here, that it does seem to get better, especially when you listen to your body when it tells you to rest. Wishing you a good recovery.

      • Spinach (cooked, fresh)
      • Salad
      • Eggs
      • Tuna in olive oil/brine
      • Capers and Olives
      • Fat Soluble Vitamins - Eat grass fed butter and cod liver oil
      • Some time in ketosis - Fasting etc Autophagy (eats the dead crap, helps me personally)
      • Lemon Water (Using whilst fasting or in the morning for me personally though. Find out yourself what suits you the best)
      • Sea Salt or Pink Salt for fasting also
      • Apple Cider Vinegar sometimes helps (but can limit enzymes so try carefully. Although some use it to limit their enzymatic function :/). Again, it's all you, use what helps/works.
      • I like milled flax seeds and greek yogurt. I know ALAs are not often converted but I believe them to be useful, along with the pre-biotic effect of the flax :)
The only way I feel good and motivated is partly mindset and the other part dietary (like in ketosis)
      Some Useful Words:
      • GABA (gamma aminobutyric acid) - Keto helps me create more or something probably. Theanine could help you perhaps (decaf tea, perhaps cold brewed green etc)
      • Autophagy - Sounds quite scary, but has it's uses :)
      • ALA
      • Short Chain Fatty Acids
      • Fat Soluble Vitamins

My heart goes out to folks like you but we need to talk about what it really was and that it was an intentional release. Stop wasting your time with wondering if the doctors can figure this out. Alot know exactly what it is and many that are blind and programmed to tow the line. Plain and simple this was a massive attack on humans by unknown sources. So lets talk about the elephant in the dam room.

    • @lisanull900
      @lisanull900 ปีที่แล้ว

@@Livinguud it was a novel virus & the human body reacted as it does to viruses it's never been in contact with before. I'm going to guess you never studied in depth microbiology & human physiology. This has happened repeatedly throughout history. I'm not "programmed to tow the line" I spent a great deal of time researching epidemics & pandemics decades before covid. This history is Why govts put plans into place to hopefully contain future outbreaks & to avoid a full scale pandemic, especially once we became a global economy. Had those plans actually been followed, we wouldn't be where we are presently, at least not the same severity.
As for the "elephant in the room" whom would benefit from theoretically releasing a novel virus on the human population? Nearly 6.5 million dead globally & likely 5 plus times that or more left disabled to some degree or another. Covid virus doesn't care if you're rich or poor, your ethnicity, your age, your profession, or even whether or not you're vaccinated. So explain exactly whom would be so idiotic to release a novel virus (when they know all about it's capabilities) knowing full well it could & likely would do the same to them & those they care about? Even the country of origin has been severely impacted.
While I admit my utter disappointment that in these modern times with the level of education ect we still have those so ignorant they can't grasp the scale of a pandemic & the havoc it causes any better than they could 100 yrs ago........ I'm sorry but I've heard the conspiracy theories out the wazoo & the bottom line is if you can't point to someone specific & prove they benefit......you got nothing but wishful thinking & an acute inability to accept reality as it presents itself.
The real "elephant in the room" is that in these modern times, with all our medical & technical advances the human race as a whole is just as stupid & unable to work together as they've always been.

I got Covid in October 2021. My symptoms were different than most. I did not lose any taste, smell, or appetite, even breathing was mostly fine. However, I was in my bed for 3 days with my winter coat on, under my blankets. It was the worst 'flu' type fever and headaches I've ever had. Most times I've been sick in my life, there was always light at the end of the tunnel, but covid really wanted to put the death on me. Anyway, the brain fog is sporadic. I'm a tech type of person, and now, I need an instruction manual on my left screen when I'm trying to do something complicated. It was never like that. Also, past memories (random) are gone. What's bad is that I don't know, what I don't know. Not until people are talking about an event a few years ago, they say I was there, but I don't remember the event being spoken about. Weird, I still know facts about all sorts of things like the old days, but other things are just gone. And I'm pretty sure I'm not getting those memories back. 20 year disabled vet and covid was the worst thing I've ever been through.

Has anyone else got symptoms like autoimmune disease? I've had Covid19 once (march 2021) and 4 vaccines (last booster in August 2022. By late October early November2022 I started experiencing arthritis-like symptoms in my right shoulder & left wrist. I thought I had carpal tunnel in the wrist. I couldn't bend it even slightly. Now it's in both shoulders & goes right down my arms ... weakness & pain. Now it feels more like it's neurological rather than arthritis. I can't lift either arm up very high & it goes right down my arms to my hands. It's horrible, can't do much by myself, like dress & undress, put my coat on, reach up into high cupboards, etc. ... it gets worse at night while I sleep or any time at rest. By morning I can hardly move my arms at all & the pain is excruciating. As the day goes on i loosen up a bit but the shoulder & arm pain is always there. Sometimes it's so bad thru the night it wakes me up. Turning over in bed is like hell. My doc. Is referring me to a rheumatologist, but I think I need a neurologist instead. As long as my arms are by my side or resting on a chair arm i can rotate my shoulders roughly with no pain in the shoulders at all. But as soon as i lift my arms its very painful. ....I'm wondering... did the Covid virus cause this, or could it be an affect of the vaccines? BTW, the left arm is worse than the right arm (though it seems to move around) and all vaccines were in my left arm. Before October I never had any health issues, was healthy as a horse!

Just try different things like fasting, eating a Keto style diet, or just meditating, focusing on breathing. And document what works (even slight improvement) and what doesn't. Medical intervention should be the last resort. If you can, try it along with her as these activities are the most safe and effective approach in dealing with issues caused by inflammation. Also, I would not get anything related to the Covid VAccine. It is safe and effective for most, but in your daughter's case, maybe not.

Oh my god. In 2021 so much of my year was taken by severe anxiety and ocd after having MILD COVID. The anxiety was worse than the COVID, and led to me having horrible outbursts towards my family. I’d wake up everyday and immediately feel panicked and throwing up due to the intrusive thoughts that wouldn’t go away. I also already had adhd and it amplified it tenfold.
I eventually got out of it mostly by sheer will and learning to redirect my focus towards ANYTHING else, mostly my hyperfixtations more and working towards a goal of moving out of my family’s home and starting my own life.
As of late I’ve been feeling like I have a lack of brain power and have been having fatigue, depression, and burnout or whatever. I don’t really feel real. But I’ve blamed it on having such a busy year: joining drama club, getting a job, going for an internship in a new place for a month. It’s left me feeling unreal.
But I was exposed to COVID at some point and I’m wondering if that has something to do with my current state.

Interesting…my husband and I had Covid in late Sept, ‘22. A few days before we had a positive test, our pup exhibited swollen lymph nodes. The vet aspirated her nodes and said it was likely a left over infection from dental work she had done about 4-5 weeks earlier. They put her on antibiotics/anti-inflammatories. After a week, she still wasn’t improving, so they changed meds, did some other blood work. Within another week, she was at the Vet ER. While there she had a massive seizure and passed. The vet did a necropsy and said she died from encephalitis. I wonder, even today, if it didn’t originate from Covid. She was never tested for it. Vets said there’s no solid evidence of dogs getting seriously ill with Covid. She was otherwise a very healthy 8 year old pup. We were devastated.

I’ve read an article on AARP about Parkinson’s disease and one of the symptoms of Parkinson’s is the lost of smell according to the article. So it’s not a far stretch to say that we will probably see a lot of neurological side affects from covid once doctors start paying more attention.

    • @notnickDPT
      @notnickDPT ปีที่แล้ว

While that's true about Parkinson's disease, covid and Parkinson's are two WILDLY different things that just share the potential to lose sense of smell. Parkinson's is a disease of the basil ganglias ability to produce dopamine. It is genetic. Covid is a virus that attack the respiratory system and can potentially cause loss of smell due to the virus attaching to and damaging nerve endings in your nose responsible for sense of smell. Just because I use sugar to make cookies and to make pizza sauce, does not mean they are the same.

That was my only symptom for a few days until I lost my taste and smell, and then all of my head injury symptoms returned with a vengeance for months. I couldn’t function in my job anymore, partly because I was making so many errors where my work was previously 100 percent defect free. I took a few months off and got an easier job, but I found I was very slow to learn new information where I used to be a quick study. 18 months later in spite of trying to brute force my recovery, I still feel like I’m half the man I used to be. Vaccines did help to prevent infection, and these inflammatory neurological changes, until Omicron variant and sub-variants. All vaccines have people who get side effects, throughout history, because people are biologically different from each other. This is well known. However the majority of the population does not get side effects from vaccines that are long lasting. One has to weigh the risk vs benefit for themselves. The MRNA vaccines are unique with their adjuvants ( most vaccines have adjuvants ) and their nano-lipid delivery system. More traditional type vaccines are available now, the problem is they take longer to make. They also have side effects.

No, the root cause of the inflammation is the immune system in action. This is part of how the immune system works. The vaccine cannot pass the blood brain barrier. Covid can, though we don't know how common it is. Nor is the mechanism that allows it to do so understood.
It's also unlikely the vaccine causes post-covid brain problems. We've given out billions of doses of the vaccine. There have been no reports of these problems following vaccination. The only time that people have these issues is after getting Covid. If the vaccine DID cause these problems, we'd have seen it on a fairly large scale by now.

My 84 year old mother whom I look after full time because she had a major stroke early 2016 caught covid in late April 2022, she rapidly healed within 5 days but she started to go on her long walks & went straight back into her activities around the house, gardening, helping with the lawn mowing etc. She went back out too fast & covid re-lapsed and then I noticed brain fog, disorientation, losing her balance, lack of memory, cognitive & physical activities had majorly declined, had me very very worried actually....however coupled with my love & energy, the Lord, my hubby she has only come right...but she is very stubborn too so that may have helped in getting her back...

I’m a male in my early 30s, Got Covid once. Never in my life have I felt head pain like I did for a few days when I had it. On the edge of unbearable. For the last few years since I’ve had insanely terrible brain fog. Constantly forgetful even on important things I wouldn’t have ever forgotten before. And in the last year I’ve gotten anxiety like I’ve never had before. Riding on the edge of agoraphobia. All of this is very out of character. I want nothing more than to Move on and better my life but I’ve been stuck and held down for the last few years. Can’t even leave my job because of it. Also seems like healthcare “professionals” don’t care to listen. Or scoff when I bring up none of this was ever an issue before I had Covid.

Great point, but it's something the gov't does not want any of us to consider. We are seeing individuals who were already "on the edge" - like the Uvalde shooter, just read about his background - finally cracking due to the isolation and stress of the lock-downs. That's how I perceive that tragedy. A young person who might have gone down a different, better path had the lock-downs not occurred. Man is a social creature; effectively imprisoning / isolating us for 2+ years has had disastrous results, IMHO. And yes, the government-endorsed masking--they love masking!--has caused additional health problems.

I have never had COVID but I fought with PTSD for 50 years. It is worse than you can imagine; a major PTSD reaction often involves searing grief, utter despair, and (especially for people who suffered the original trauma at the hands of others) venomous self-hatred. In summer 1973 I kept a gas can in the closet to burn myself to death (it was the only way I could be sure the horror would be gone) if it got too bad, but instead I had blackouts. I would typically be preparing dinner (I lived alone, of course) and would start crying. I would turn to get the gas can, but just that quickly I decided burning to death was too good for me. Except for occasional moments when I would see that I was walking the lawless neighborhood looking for trouble I would just wake up in bed the next morning, teeth brushed and dishes washed, and emotionally drained.
So no... we are not experiencing those symptoms on a mass scale. I am scared of very little, not even cancer, or the two times I was at gunpoint by irrational people, but I am terrified of a major PTSD reaction. It is the devil taking control of everything you think and feel.

If we still had real journalism in this country (instead of the hand of our intelligence agencies in every newsroom, filtering what most people see and hear) the media would've had this nailed down 2 years ago. All we have to do is look at the rates of traffic accidents. I'd bet my life that the rates of accidents like rear ends and other attention related accidents, suddenly and dramatically spiked in 2020-2021. This happened to me, actually... when traffic had been at a full stop for a full minute. The woman who hit me wasn't elderly. She was in her early 30's and hit the gas too early, which is just odd, if you ask me. Anyway, someone in our govt or within the insurance industry already knows all of this. They just don't want to lose their job, income, reputation, etc by being the one to implicate the U.S. in the dumbing down of our entire country.

This shit is real. 26yo M, extremely mild acute covid, wouldn’t have known I had it tbh if not for the positive test. After a week once I thought I’d cleared, brain fog started to hit. Started getting panic attacks, doom/psychoses like feelings. Thankfully they’ve pretty much passed now, however I don’t feel myself at all still. I feel really dizzy almost 24/7 but it’s different to actual dizziness, it’s like I’m being shaken internally, everything feels like it’s moving inside and out. My heart often feels sore too as well as some occasional kidney pain. Taking all the recommended vitamins and eating clean has definitely helped relive the severity of the symptoms but isn’t eliminating them. I think I’ve had a really good state of mind in dealing with this for the most part, and will continue to be as positive as I can but admittedly there’s times when I just feel defeated. As sinister as it sounds, it’s almost like being possessed, this isn’t my body and I want my old self back. I do think covid was a bioweapon but that’s a hole different discussion point. I just hope this wave of symptoms does one day finally disappear. Much love everyone 🙏🏼.

To all of you struggling with psychological, neurological, physical and mental symptoms because of the virus - I know how lonely it is! I'm so sorry you have to go through this. I'm not going to tell you "stay strong", that does not help at all. Allow yourself to grieve that this happened to you. Allow yourself to feel sorry for yourself. Allow yourself to feel sad for the time you are losing and have lost to this debilitating dis-ease. A lot of people have PTSD after covid, It's actually very common at this point. If someone tells you to "just get over yourself", tell them to get over the need to trivialize other peoples problems. They do it because they're to afraid to look inside themselves. That's on them. You're doing the best you can, and even if it doesn't feel like it, you're enough. I see all you. Love to of ya'll.

Out of all 19 symptoms listed in this video, I’ve been feeling at least 12 in the past year since my first Moderna vaccine dose. I remember having a strong flu at the beginning of January 2020 when information about the virus was not available so I never attributed my symptoms to Covid, however 2-3 weeks after my first vaccine dose (end of April 2021) it became obvious that something was not well with my health. My doctors did not and still do not have an answer and I started to believe it was all “in my head” as my first neurologist pointed out. I haven’t been able to function at a normal level or at least at the same level I was a year ago, not sure if and when this nightmare will be over. Thank you for the information given in this video, at least it validates what a lot of us are feeling.

I couldn't have said it better and after 9 months of this nightmare I think I'm finally starting to get better, I will see my first neurologist on the 6th of September. My personal advice is to stay as calm as possible and even meditate if you're familiar with TM it helps as after about 20 minutes or so you can feel the symptoms abate so I know this can help. Best of luck to you. PS: I also had the Moderna twice and a booster so really the doctors don't know anything much more than the general public but they also don't want to admit it so just take good care of yourself and rest and sleep as much as you are able and drink a good amount of warmed water everyday. PPS: I'm finally starting to get better, so you will too.

I don't know if everything is worse for me bc I'm hitting perimenopause (apparently that magnifies ADHD) or if maybe its post-covid. The timing, exactly with covid for all 3 of us (we're 5 years apart age-wise), is definitely highly suspect.
