This brings back memories. I'll never forget the day I walked into my comic shop and picked up Metal raiders and subsequently the Yugi and Kaiba starters. And honestly, I love this slow kind of game play. The game to me was at its prime when you had to sit back and think. Resources weren't as Ubiquitous nowadays, via hand traps graveyard effects. Yeah, you had strong cards, but it was how you utilized them.
And these games best showcase this. I'll miss old school YuGIOh like this(and goat format). I understand that change is necessary, but this is a history of the game that should never be forgotten and I'm glad your channel is keeping it alive.
As this match clearly shows, even strong cards didn't last much on the field.
I'm a Magic player(which isn't SO broken, but still follow the same path), YGO gives the nostalgic feels but I don't really feel like playing nowdays because the game is so broken. It becomes a race instead of a strategy game
Back to the days when YGO was a 2-player game, not a solo one.

At 12:25 why does WMH's effect and damage go through if he activated Waboku?
At 12:21 Ryan activates a trap and if you look at Ryan's graveyard afterwards you can see that he used a seven tools to negate the waboku
no dark hole or raigeki? swords was semi limited. also Ryan should have used card destruction.
this is under a costom forbidden list.
A format I'd love to try is Pharaoh servant. Jinzo, gravity bind, and hayabusa knight all came out in this set. I played back then but not competitively, so I knew bout clown control.

There is a thing called strategy, you look at the board analyses what your opponent is trying to do and makes a decision based on that and the resources you have, that is why the video speed up . Is not just casting cards that cast another cards and allow you to summon monsters invulnerable to your opponent while bringing stuff back, or some crazy shit like that.
Welcome to the game when the game first came out. Not all the win in less than 4 turns. It may be slow but it's really intense.
