BMW S63B44T4 owner here. The engine doesn’t have rear timing chain. It’s in the front. On the point about valvetronic. We went from single throttle body to dual per-bank throttle body to individual throttle body(ITB) for a reason. Air Intake efficiency. Valvetronic takes it a step further to individual port throttle body hence why it’s the most efficient air intake system in the world. It has throttle bodies for each bank but they’re always fully open and used only as a fail safe.

What issues does ea824 have except for oil screen?
Do you think the new S68 bmw engine is solid better than the previous one?
I think it's just n63/s63 with 48V

@@SirSchmittyX wider main bearings and different connecting rods. Everything else is the same.
Also, the vanos is still oil operated not electronic
