I just bought the s500 here in saudi Arabia and i was a worried about the 8v consumption... but this video make me satisfying ..... thanks mex for the great ved🎉
818kM its very good . W220 s500 is the best . It means 1 lit go 9KM . THANKS PRO . Today i ceam from Riyadh, to Taif to Beljershi Number of kilometers traveled 1025 KM . I filled the amount of 125 riyals, then 95 riyals, and then the amount of 31 Saudi riyals, for a total of 251, and the price of a liter was 2.23, so the value came out that 1 liter covers a distance of 9.15, and this made me answer it more. My w220 s350 2004 . Thanks pro for this vidio And thanks mercedes bens ❤❤❤👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
in the American user manual it says premium gasoline for Performance, I have seen a picture of it, which in Europe should correspond to 98 octane. although the car can also run on 95 octane
@@Andersljungberg I rarely use 98 in this one as it’s a large displacement NA V8 and modern fuel is more than good enough, and car runs great and feels powerful. I wouldn’t say anything about this car is “performance” tho. Purely a cruiser.
Fuel consumption probably also depends on which driving mode you use. You have to bear in mind that some who buy that car may have done so because they want a lot to drive with i.e. performance
I've been looking at getting the same M113 engine in a CLK, I suppose I'd get slightly better MPG in a CLK since it's lighter, not bad to be honest though considering it's a 5.0L V8 and the speed on the motorway doesn't seem to matter much either. I think I could get over 20MPG in town driving light with the occasional throttle since I'm not much of a yobbo and tend to be relaxed most of the time. Obviously it's a V8 but being able to go a good distance on one tank would be nice to lay back and enjoy the luxury. Also does it prefer taking premium fuel over 95 btw and if so, how much better is it for the car? Love the content from Cov.
I love CLKs. I have toyed with the idea of a CLK500 too as these engines are so good and smooth with plenty of power and torque to feel fast. I’m sure CLK will as you say be better as it’s lighter. I’ve not done a long run with Vpower in it, but around town I can’t say I saw a difference in performance or MPG. 🤷🏻♂️
You should probably have petrol that can make maximum use of the compression. unfortunately fuel quality can also determine. Read a comment that had gasoline From VP Racing on his 2 wheel drive vehicle He apparently drove a few kilometers further than on regular gasoline that contained ethanol. unfortunately the petrol from VP racing is not cheap. But in some countries it might be difficult to find regular petrol without ethanol?

Glad to hear it was helpful. Also in Saudi, fuel is much cheaper than here.
why worrie fuel is free there

Im driving from Minnesota to Texas S500. 1395 miles 73mph . I’ll let you know how much gas .
By the way play some Depeche mode 😂
@@Luisalonzo88 amazing. Definitely keep me updated on your gas usage.
I am actually going to bring the S500 back to life soon as I miss it so much.
@@Mexicanfab I’ll sell you mine😂😂
@@Mexicanfab I just filled up the tank right now, I should be getting to Texas tomorrow night. I’ll keep you updated

@@Andersljungberg I don’t think the juice is worth the squeeze with the VP fuel or any higher RON fuel between price and efficiency.
You’re a braver man than me 😂
*Stupid. 😂😂
Why did you delete all ur 300zx videos
Nah bro. They all still up.
Holy duck that’s like $200 in the US😭😭
That’s was last year too. Price gone up a lot since. 😢🤦🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️
If you would get the better petrol you’d squeeze more miles
Very possibly, but in cases where people cannot get the 99/99+ RON fuel, I decided to run with 95 for this test. 👌🏼
tbf the car from the factory uses 95 so its pretty fair to use it in any tests@@Mexicanfab
