The last time I rode Amtrak into the city was 1999. the station was still under MSG. What happened to that space? Is it still part of the station? Or was it just emptied out and abandoned?
@armorpro573 I’m torn on that, the Pennsylvania Hotel was old and worn down. They are modernizing the area around Penn Station. When the new tower is finally built it will be nice, though very tall
@@tekgamerworld Well I feel it would've been more cheaper to renovate it than tearing it down and building a giant skyscraper that'll likely cost in millions.
Jump to 00:08:40 for a interior walking tour of New York Penn Station
Very nice walking tour of NYC Penn Station! Looks like restaurants are opening on the LIRR side.
Yes! You need to check out Dos Toros Taqueria on the LIRR side of Penn Station! It’s sooooo good!

You get Amtrak at the Moynihan Train Hall. They converted most of the Post Office across the street to a train station.
what day of the week and time did you film this? looks the emptiest i've ever seen it
It was the middle of the week during mid morning
The Pennsylvania Hotel is missing across the street, it’s been torn down to make way for a new high rise skyscraper
Quite a shame. Would've nice if it was still standing

@armorpro573 it was estimated that renovating the Pennsylvania Hotel would of cost upwards of $200,000,000 USD
