Also, we need to remember that speaking isn't the same as singing
Please, I love Adele, but she wouldn't be having throat problems if it was totally 'effortless'. Her technique for reaching highs, A4-C5, is pretty bad. What makes her a great singer though is her tone, which is heavy, warm, and emotional.
I agree with PCHDX. At least in this situation, even he she wasn't performing effortlessly, she certainly appears so. It was this one, among other factors, which made me enjoyed (and still do) this set so much

Adele's talent is extraordinary for her age, this girl is writing her own lyrics, composing the music, AND performing the vocals like an angel. Oh, and she is so humble about all of it. She's already got EIGHT Grammys with many more to come. Hopefully she can keep it all together, which isn't easy when you're riding a rocket ship of fame and fortune.

The fact that she can sit, leaning forward like that and sing so loud and clear, just shows that she is a master at what she does!
