My guess as to why boss stem cells would make the game harder: The tube it is in hooks up to various waterworks throughout the island and little bits of boss that just bashed you to oblivion is now in every enemy elsewhere in the game. Next time try shoving it in your sorry husk of a body and maybe it'll buff you enough to actually kill things.

Here are some tips for the spoiler boss hitless if you like: 1. Emergency Triage, always take Triage. Without Rampart/Tonic(?)/Ice Armor, it's pretty much the only way to consistently get the last phase. 2. Go fast. While magic phase is pretty choreographed and manageable and summon phase is just free damage, melee phase has a ton of room for chokes, especially with the thrust attack. 3. Use Rampart. Colorless is preferable, but even off-color does fine. An off-color 2 sec invincibility is still a 2 sec invincibility. 4. If possible, get your health to less than 10%. You can use the anti-oneshot mechanic to do this. As tankiness doesn't matter in a hitless run anyway, getting yourself low allows you to use 3 health pots (as Triage reduces the healing to 45%) which are essentially 3 "oh crap I'm going invincible" buttons. 5. Routing. Choosing the route with the most scrolls makes a ton of difference in your damage output. I haven't looked much into this after finishing RotG, but apparently the best route on current patch is Sewer - C.Prison - A.Sewer - Crypt - Sanctuary - Cavern - Haven (Both biome 6 have equal scroll count). 6. Patterns. Learn his attack patterns. An useful one that I still remember (probably because it's the one I relied on for my only successful run with 3 root items) is if he gets rooted in melee phase before starting an attack, his next attack will most likely be the ground slam. That's all I can think of for now. Good luck! :D
@@pianissimo7121 As someone who's beaten spoiler boss flawless a couple times already, here's a few more tips. If you're not reaching him because you're dying in Sanctuary or have too little flasks, exchange Sanctuary for Graveyard, because there's a guaranteed food merchant there and you don't have to fight Golems. Do not panic against his librarian attack, just stand still and roll when you see the beam starting. Try getting your hands on a legendary weapon and go with the offensive scroll distribution (main colour and then survival, or brutality if your main colour is survival), also making sure that the weapon hits fast as you can only deal 5% of his max HP at once. If done right you'll only have to dodge like 3 moves. Good legendaries I've personally had against spoiler boss are rapier, blood sword and multi-nocks bow, but anything fast and single-slotted should work.
@@sitrex8459 I never actually tried that scroll strat. will give it a try next run. my main issue is some random malaise monster attacking me or me jumping down and having to fight too much stuff or random stuff like that. I am just not consistent, the run I did just now, I die to golems because I thought my weapon slowed him down(i had slow enemies when you kill) but I guess he spawned right after I got the kill and punched me into a trap(the rotating mace, it was under the treasure chest in that map) and I got 2 hit combo. It was actually hilarious, but such random stuff gets me down for good every time. once in the spoiler biome, I killed every enemy on the platform with one attack from legendary heavy xbow, but the magic dude put a red wall that I didn't see and before I should shoot it, I fell down the platform and the wall continued to attack me and killed me. my every run is basically a comical story of how I died ;(.
@@pianissimo7121 The scroll strat is only if you can consistently get a legendary weapon, and would like to lose a large chunk of HP for a couple scrolls of damage. I usually get a legendary weapon from the Giant since he's insanely easy to cheese with high damage or the correct build. Otherwise though, stick to the norm. Also if you're running tactics, always take Disengagement as a mutation. It often saves me once or twice per biome. If you're getting to spoiler biome, then that's good, and I'm sure you can get flawless if you just keep at it.
"Nothing you can scramble together is perfect..." Use the "Assasin's dagger" in combination with the power "Phaser" and the mutations "Killer instinct", "Scheme" and something like "Necromancy". You can oneshot everything by teleporting behind the enemy, since the Assasin's Dagger crits on hits from behind which is exectly where you will get teleportet after you use Phaser. You then get a little bit of life back, as well as the cooldown on the ability and also deal a ton of extra dmg, since you used a skill and then meele strike an enemy. Then use "Brutality-Scrolls" at least 15 times and from time to time go for "Survival" or "Tactics", depending one which one gives you more hp at the moment. Et violla, except for the endboss you can pretty much enjoy a free run.
I have 1k plus hours in this game and you are correct I am a masochist and I love pain. Almost as much as the pure joy I felt when I killed the spoiler boss.
Roughy speaking, the boss cells make the game harder because, the enemy's can sence that you might be able to challenge them; you did just atached a peace of the strongest being, both you and they have seen thus far, to yourself, like a trophy.

Wait, you thought the hand of the king was the last boss? Well there's another last boss after the 5bc! Wait, you also thought that boss was the last boss? Play again on 5bc after defeating the last last boss and you'll find the LAST last last boss! And trust me, it's ALOT worse than the worst thing you're thinking of.
Thank god there’s now a training room where you can select enemies and bosses to fight (the gear selection is kinda picky tho), where you the fight all the enemies ( even endgame enemies thank god) as many times as you want so dying is not as much of a concern now
And that they recently (as in with the latest update) let you actually choose the specific gear you want and how many levels you wanna set yourself at, so that the Training Room is even better
I struggled a lot until I discover that 1. Tactis is just the best build and 2 that I can one shot all the last bosses if you combo turrets + support+ short range bonus

Aside from BSC5, the HARDEST part of this game is BSC2 difficulty. Base game is really only hard because you're inexperienced, but once you get past that, you're good. BSC1 for me wasn't really much harder and I got through in roughly 10 attempts iirc. But...GETTING THROUGH BSC2 WAS A BITCH AND A HALF. I don't know what it was, but it probably took me almost 100 attempts to get through it. However, once I did, it only took 2-3 tries to get through BSC3. I don't know what it is, but there is most certainly a difficulty spike there.
Its almost like trying to do this shit near hitless is a major step up from "oh yeah no problem i can take a hit here and there" And that wasnt even considering old malaise cause that gave you a overall max hits you could ever take, as food would restore hp but not decrease malaise, and as the video touches on, food too, becomes malaising later. Sounds like that was changed from a "yeah uh, just dont get hit ok" to "ok ok but do it fast" which is way less punishing, especially since gotta go fast in this game is kind of the natural thing to do with how killstreaks give you move speed and shit.
Ive been stuck on three cells for the last two years playing on and off. Hats off to you for making it all the way through. .... you missed the queen though. 😂
Dark souls has his own logic and fair learning curve. A good gamer will almost never die if he had played even 1 of the 3 before ( if not because of some bullshit bossfights but most of them are optional). This game has such high powerspike of difficulty that basically says fuck you and your efforts now die.

"Nothing you can scramble together is perfect..."
Use the "Assasin's dagger" in combination with the power "Phaser" and the mutations "Killer instinct", "Scheme" and something like "Necromancy".
Bro you're editing and humor is second to none. Amazing. I love your channel!
Roughy speaking, the boss cells make the game harder because, the enemy's can sence that you might be able to challenge them; you did just atached a peace of the strongest being, both you and they have seen thus far, to yourself, like a trophy.
Thank you Windette. Since watching this video, I have so far made it to Time Keeper on Boss Cell One. I am very proud of this moment because I have only had Dead Cells for a couple of weeks so far. Thank you for your wonderful tips and I will try my best to GIT GUD!
Well, this video was very well timed. I just beat the spoiler boss a few days ago and holy shit, this game is absolutely relentless and doesn’t shy away from ramping tremendously up in difficulty. This video is the most accurate representation of what this game is. Hell. Absolute fucking hell. If you’re in a happy mood that day, just don’t play this game, it’ll ruin the mood 😂.
Did you get the special secret ending yet? It requires a second 5BC run with special conditions. Dont worry its not really any more difficult.
@@thomasallen9974 yep I did it was hard but it’s finally done, but with the announcement of the new dlc, guess Im gonna have to grind for the new ending 😂
Bro , when i first played hell mode , the game told me "I know a place" and brought me to the LOWEST point of my life
You want any easy way out? TOUGH SHIT 😂😂😂
There’s a certain achievement in the game that only the gaming gods can accomplish: beat the whole fucking thing on 5BC armed with only a sword that makes everything kill you in 1 hit!
As a 5 bc player, I can tell you everything being said here is painfully true
i absolutely love this game and would to hear an updated version of this on some of the new content. windette bullying us on getting direct impacted by a barrel would be pretty funny
It was a long road but you made it all the way to the end. Im proud of you Windy.
Thank you for this gem of video. I was thinking about playing this game, but your work healed me completely for going into this madness. It was really a miracle. I send countless prayers.
Last boss 0-4
4 last last boss
5 last last last boss
3:49-3:54
Me who got to the final boss and won as well as beating normal hard mode within 40 hours: *I am four parallel universes ahead of you*
Thank god there’s now a training room where you can select enemies and bosses to fight (the gear selection is kinda picky tho), where you the fight all the enemies ( even endgame enemies thank god) as many times as you want so dying is not as much of a concern now
And that they recently (as in with the latest update) let you actually choose the specific gear you want and how many levels you wanna set yourself at, so that the Training Room is even better
I LOVE the way you say "Well...BACK TO THE PIPPES!"
i just can't.... It's to funny!
I struggled a lot until I discover that 1. Tactis is just the best build and 2 that I can one shot all the last bosses if you combo turrets + support+ short range bonus
Love your narration, this is hilarious!
Heck yes was just thinking that I wanted a windy upload
"The final difficulty is so hard that even after 500 hours i cant consistently beat it!"
Me with 500 hours stuck at 1BC: *surprised pikachu face*
i don’t think i’ve *ever* gotten past the 1st boss in the game…
i fucking suck
same
No, you just haven't learned enough/unlocked enough.
It is hard, so, don't feel bad. He isn't exaggerating when he says how massively unfair this game is.
My biggest Advice for you is collect items AND color cordination. Red/Green/Purple. All have different strengths. You can do it .
The pathetic concierge? I beat him on my first run lol.
@@Gaze73 this comment was a year+ ago
now i’m up to 4 bc and have nearly beaten it
Another good video on another good game. It really shouldn't surprise me how well your style transfered to explaining Dead Cells.
Makes me think it would work well for a game like DOOM Eternal as well.
Just a thought.
One Boss Cell - Excitement
2 - 3 Boss cell - Pain escalating to Misery
4 Boss Cell - Disappointment
5 Boss Cell - Congratulations, you bought yourself a death sentence
"Dead Cells is ridiculously hard!"
*slowly hides heavy crossbow*
invisibility plus heavy crossbow equals stealth archer.
Go to the slumbering sanctuary they said! It WILL BE FUN THEY SAID!
If golems sees you… you CANNOT escape… you can’t run from golems… you can’t hide from golems… you will get sweet love from the end of his fist whether you like it OR NOT
Aside from BSC5, the HARDEST part of this game is BSC2 difficulty.
The difference was probably going from 9heals per 3 stages, down to 3
Its almost like trying to do this shit near hitless is a major step up from "oh yeah no problem i can take a hit here and there" And that wasnt even considering old malaise cause that gave you a overall max hits you could ever take, as food would restore hp but not decrease malaise, and as the video touches on, food too, becomes malaising later.
Sounds like that was changed from a "yeah uh, just dont get hit ok" to "ok ok but do it fast" which is way less punishing, especially since gotta go fast in this game is kind of the natural thing to do with how killstreaks give you move speed and shit.
Wind after saying how hard Dead Cells is : "download it don't be shy"
Me : *nervously sweating since I just got Hollow knight and I'm suffering*
Something I’m kinda proud of is that I beat Time Keeper and Hand of the King first try recently. Granted it was no boss cells but still.
Same, it was a really good Green build.
Ive been stuck on three cells for the last two years playing on and off. Hats off to you for making it all the way through. .... you missed the queen though. 😂
You forgot to mention this is 2D dark souls
No, darksouls is far less bullshit. This is worse.
@@stevenn1940"its like the dark souls of unfair games"
Dark souls has his own logic and fair learning curve. A good gamer will almost never die if he had played even 1 of the 3 before ( if not because of some bullshit bossfights but most of them are optional). This game has such high powerspike of difficulty that basically says fuck you and your efforts now die.
Thanks for introducing me to this amazing game. I got the ps premium and when I saw it was free I remembered how good you made it look (plus it had hollow knight lol). So again, thx for your dead cells videos, they're great
Yeahh... Try playing on Phone i dare you.
I mean, i am on 3 BC on phone after only about 50 hours.
2bc player playing on the netflix version yea no this is hard af I agree
4bc if abusing assist mode 2bc normally
I have do it
I am 2bc
This video is what finally convinced me that I shouldn't feel embarrassed to use the assist menu. I enjoy the game and have gotten 2 boss cells on my own, but the lack of healing is making it less fun for me! Hearing you describe the overwhelming difficulty made it easier to make the decision.
Literally just got the notification on discord
You know, this is how I'd imagine the Beheaded would explain his life.
2000 + hours juste finish my first full cells run the true final boss is brutal
And you can be affected by malaise by any élite mob if you have 2 cell or more it's not an exclusive 5 cell mécanique. But when your not on 5 cell the malaise progress when you get hit.
2000?! It took me 150 😭
Man great job on this video. Lol ive currently been running the 5th boss cell for the past 2 or 3 days. i would have already finished but unfortunately ive been playing Dead Cells on my phone and i decided not to link a game controller and instead just using the in game controls. Its been a challenge thats for sure
Me at 0:10 : Fine. Be back some day.
Bro did you at least play the game
Also first comment in 2 years
most hilarious thing on the internet, thank you for your content
As someone who ha donate dark souls on ng+7 that's nothing compared to the hell this is
But yeah as of recent I've finally beaten the game with 5 boss cells
the only man to weaponize voice cracks
I didn’t find any part of this game *too* rough. It was pretty fun throughout and I didn’t hit any major walls. But the one thing that legitimately made me mad was when I was doing hell, probably going to win, I decided to finally go for the third key in the castle and I discovered firsthand that the ram rune by the exit is directly above a spike pit
That happens a lot. Specially in shipwreck or that fuking trap in sanctuary where you smash down looking for great 5s and then boom a spoke trap
Your entire energy is so addictive. So fun
this video teaches me to not buy dead cells lmao
BUY IT
"literally every build has its upsides and drawbacks"
*bonk build sitting in the corner*
Great video but your voice is a little too exaggerated
Thats, the, fucking, point.
As a dead cell player I stumbled onto this video and I must say
- I like this guy
- *SUBSCRIBED*
Every build has drawbacks
Panchaku, open wounds, blood drink and wish: I simply don't exist
If you want to make dead cells easier for yourself, take armadillopack
I appreciate the warning, i clicked on this and you told me off so instead i'll watch this in a year or two when i've finished dead cells.
“No build is perfect”
Baseball bat + throwable objects(you made that video later so understandable): what did he say
At least the malaise change makes it that you aren't completely doomed after only a few hits.
#1 best vid i've ever watched thank you lol
"You suck"
That's the nicest thing someone has ever said to me
At first i was like
"Oh well it's just your comment about the game, i can beat the hand of the king"
but now...
"Why your insult is so real..."
I'm glad i'm cleared the game in it's early stage, so i don't have to go through it all over and watch the youtuber to suffer that for me instead. Best EA spent on a game ever. 500 IQ.
I got to the ast *AHEM* 5bc biome and died to THE FRICKIN TRAPS THAT GUARD THE TELESCOPE KEY THING
AAAAAHHGHGGHGAHAHAHAG
I love how when the game tells you about the difficulty of the bc levels they tell you less healing legendary forge and stuff but forget to mention the fact that enemies hit harder than dissapointment hit my dad when i was born
The boss cells make the game harder because they taste delicious and any enemy who kills you gets to eat them, meaning they try extra hard
I do love these explained in Insults video's. Please make more it makes me laugh so much
I'm searching for dead cells for my biology project and got here I don't even play games but I like your commentary so much I watch full video
“They pull no punches” *proceeds to list out punches they pull*
Good lord help me, I may not be rolling on the floor but this is so outrageously hilarious that I might as well be XD
As the video keeps going he slowly progresses into a rated T Skeletor.
And NOW they've added a DLC where there's level with three crazy guys with amazing weapons hunting you and right after that you're supposed to fight a literal GOD!
As someone who mains brutality build i MUST agree on every single word. Even with speedrun build made for DMG and CRIT DMG, that can obliterate monsters as much as bosses im still stuck on 5BC. I had no idea this game would be spon of hell hahaha
Alright, you convinced me, I'm going to download it right now
the voice crack is just perfectly describing every dead cells player mentally unstable
can't believe this was uploaded during my birthday last year
9:37 bro the giant is the EASIEST BOSS in the game, literally
I’ve become thoroughly convinced that the best way to play is to boost whatever stat your speccing to give as much with its first point as you can afford before you get it by getting other stats and then just go for a one shot build with some weapon simply because mastery of the game can save you in some situations atleast
He said the giant swam in bone melting magma. THE GIANTS MADE OF BONE
