  • People sometimes ask why we don’t sing Hillsong, Elevation or Bethel worship music. Hear from Pastor Grant as he shares his heart for worship music at Capital Community Church.
“We want to emphasize sound doctrine, we want to sing the best songs, the songs that have stood the test of time, so we want to point our people to the hymns that best reflect the theology that we believe.”- Pastor Grant Castleberry

I agree whole heartedly. I am searching for a church that has made the same stand. I live in Durham region Ontario, Canada. Any body watching this clip, agrees and knows a church in my location that is of the same conviction can you leave me a note please and thank you.

Satan is subtle and manipulates us through emotion.

Emotions were designed by God - He himself has them . Emotion in worship or outside of worship is not wrong in and of itself (we are called to weep with those who weep and rejoice with those who rejoice). The danger of emotions in worship specifically is when people interpret a lack of emotion as God not being present in the worship. Now, outside of worship, Satan can try and use situations that give rise to emotions with the ultimate purpose of leading us astray from God, but being mindful of that, fix yourself to the sure and steady anchor that is Christ and you will not be swayed by the storms of this world.

Pagan stories that promote more heretical ideas (theology?) than you can shake a stick at , used to contra the use of heretical ideas/lyrics in Bethel/Hillsong worship songs?!?!?! Excesses abound in the craven human heart, especially in emotive forms/practices of worship- Nevertheless, the heart that longs for righteousness and thirsts for knowing God will not be disappointed ! I don't want to hinder His little ones from trying to touch the hem of His robe. Christianity is nothing if not experiential , supernatural, spiritual=powerful. It seems like there's way too many Christian "Karens" out there trying to police other christians.
