Wow! Can't wait to start with my pens! Thanks for the demonstration :)
Great lesson. I really enjoy when you talk us through the lesson
I finally did this one. A year later. Turned out ok and was a lot of fun. I wish I left the stems till after I wet the jars. Made it a lot harder to keep the color from being muddy.
Thank you for this. I had some watercolor brush markers that I bought, but not quite sure how to proceed with them. You have inspired me to "play".
I am new to watercolor and brush pens and I LOVE this SO much! How fun and beautiful! You have a lot of talent and I appreciate you sharing that! Thank you!
Brilliant. I’ve had my set for ages and had no idea how to use them. Now I do. Thanks so much!
Happy to help!
I loved it ! I already use the pens.
I like the sound of your voice when you are teaching. It is so calming!
I have some arteza watercolor pens like yours, bought them almost 3 years ago and have never used them because I was intimidated by them! But this!! This is a great way to use them and your flowers are simply drawn but very pretty! I KNOW I can do this, thank you so much!! Really pretty painting, btw!!❤
That is too cute. I have an unused set of these things that I’m half ways afraid of. I’m going to give them a try today. Thank you for a happy painting, Ellen.
I literally just bought some of the pens. Perfect timing. Always a pleasure watching your art come to life
thanks!
I have watched this video several times. It helped me understand how to use my watercolor brush pens. Thank you for such a great tutorial and sharing your beautiful art!
Thank you. Adding the water really brought the sketch to life and made it a 3 dimensional
Awesome! I had a hard time wrapping my head around doing the flowers first. 😂 Another fun and thought provoking exercise! Thank you 💗
Very cool, idk never heard of brush pens! They look like watercolor pens or markers. Everyday I learn something new. ☺️
Glad you like them!
I’m too have watercolor brush pens that I have been laying around for more than a year. This video has inspired me to dig them out and give them a try. One thing you overlooked in this fabulous free flowing painting are the stems of the flowers down into your transparent glass jars. You did a great job on the jars and I kept waiting for it to happen to see how you dealt with refraction and what you would use in color. I hope you take a look at this and see what I mean.
I have the same set I love those ! thank you for the lesson
I bought these on Amazon yesterday because l watched you, got them today! So much fun, love this, thank you!!
Wow! That was fun! I just got a new watercolor sketch pad and dug out my brush pens! I have been splashing color everywhere. Thanks for the inspiration, Ellen!
Oh, wow. This is great! I just found a set of "expensive" brush pens this morning, behind my computer monitor, that I got a year or two ago.
I'm going to try it out today!
Sounds great!
This is great Ellen!
thank you
It does look like a lot of fun and it give you more control and I find the colour more vibrant. Great video. Thanks for sharing.
Love my watercolour brush pens, can't wait to try this.
Ellen, you do have a lot of fun. I have 2 sets of brush pens that I'm going to pull out of hiding and use. I hope someday I'll have the confidence to just jump into a painting like you do.
thanks you can do it!
I love this. I have these pens and haven't tried them yet .After watching this video, I am definitely going to give them a try , and paint a bunch of flowers. Thank you for sharing this with us
Love it. Have some of the brush pens, will have to give this a try for sure. So enjoy all that you teach us and encourage us all the time. Thank you.
Wonderful!
Very pretty, always trying to paint glass …want to try this 👍 thanks
Have fun!
This is just stunning, I loved the original sketch so effortlessly put down but watching it come to life and then transform into a completely different style on it with the wet brush 🖌️ It was like you had applied a filter 😮😍
I stumbled across these cheap in my local store and had no idea what they were but I now have a hanking to give this picture a go 🎉
Your timing is miraculous... I just got a set today! Will save this and try some florals tomorrow.
Have fun!
Ellen, I hope you feel better soon. I was sick for about a month with whatever cold this is! Just wouldn’t let go!
Your florals are [always] beautiful and now I need some watercolor brush pens lol! Oh and thank you for the tip of adding the jars (or I imagine any container) after painting the bunch of flowers. I have never thought to do that but that makes great sense!
Brilliant thank you I have used mine but you have given me a whole new take on them, Love it
It was fun to learn. Certainly a learning curve, but fun nonetheless. Thank you.
Loved this. Will try tomorrow! Wish me luck!❤️🦋
you can do it!
I never thought about going back over it with water. That will make them more interesting.
yes!
Wow! love ❤️ this. Seems a few of us have these pens lying around. I have a packet of watercolor pencils too. Might be time to “tippy-tap” some art LOL. As usual, thanks so much for the inspiration ❤❤❤
Why do we do this??? Lololol
I bought mine 2 years ago and only used them for lettering...I love what you have done with the brush pens, a new challenge for me. Thank You Ellen!!
I love it! I'm gonna try it!
I've been looking at different brands of watercolor brush pens for my husband to get me for Christmas. It's impressive that your pens have been sitting for a year and aren't dried up. I thought I wanted Zig, but these are cool too. Decisions. Decisions.
That is awesome!
I have some brush pens that hold water and I have no idea what to do with them. They were a gift. Hope you get feeling better!
thanks !!!
Do you mean the clear plastic brush pens that you put water into? You can use them just like a watercolor brush except the water is in the pen rather than a jar. When you want to “rinse” the brush, squeeze the barrel to make water flow and brush it on a paper towel until it runs clean. Then dip into your next color.
This is gorgeous, I love the jars!!
thanks!
Fun with the watercolor pens! Thanks for sharing!
This is so relaxing to watch but also inspiring me to give it a go!
How inspiring! Really enjoyed watching your technique! Beautiful!!! ❤
I’ve had the arteza version of these sitting in my drawer for like 2 years! I’ve gotta pull them out and play!! Thanks Ellen! 🤍
This was great!! Thank you!!
So very pretty. I need this lesson🎨
Hope you feel better soon😔
Thank you, I will
So so pretty ❣️
Thank you for sharing! It has inspired me to pull out my watercolor brush pens. I really haven’t used them at all, because I didn’t have a clue how to use them. Now, you have given me license to play!! 🥰
beautiful!
Hahahaha...I've had brush pens on my windowsill for a few months too! What good incentive to get them down & try this! Thanks, Ellen.
So fun. Thank you!
I have some iv e never used now i will! Thanks!
Inspiring. Thanks for the idea of being free with it.
I had a bunch of these and I think I gave them to my grandkids, as I never used them. Darn!!
lol
Stems and water in the jars? Id love to see you do that. LOVe the flowers.
I know did you read my description - LOL I forgo them as I was rushing to a doc apt as I am not feeling well- I added them but you guys are smart you can put them in!
Had so much fun doing this! Who knew?
Like you I have had these paintbrushes but really didn’t know ho2 to use them. This has been a great way to figure out what to do and knowing to play with them. Thanks
This is great Ellen!👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
My husband bought me a big set of Arteza a couple of years ago. I’ve tried them, but I could never get decent results. Even if you didn’t blend this, it’s really cute. Now, I’m ready to try again!
I love this and will try it, thank you Ellen, always love you !😘
Awesome! Gave a set to my niece who prefers to paint with watercolor, but hasn’t for a while.
Well those are interesting 😊 Thank you for the demonstration ❤
Hope you get feeling better soon! Sending a virtual get well hug!!😘
I like this a lot, Ellen. I’ll try it with my Zig clean brush markers for sure.

This is so pretty ! Can’t wait to try it!
I just adore your personality showing through with your descriptive words.
Indeed, I need to "play" and "have fun"
Thank you 💓 for the tutorial.
Hope you feel better soon.
I think it's mostly allergies.
乁༼☯‿☯✿༽ㄏ
😊 thank you
Love your painting! I have been debating on getting some watercolor brush pens. Now I see that they work pretty good.
I also enjoy all your videos 😊
Really love this
I'd like to try doing this painting as I have a set of brush pens and love all the colors you used. I was just curious about the stems of flowers in the jars. And thank you for showing us how to paint jars!
Hi Ellen I hope you get to feeling better soon x This was a great video, the pens looked really good to use and it was good listening to you get excited over them !! x one question though where did the flower stems go ???? thank you for sharing with us xx
humm no idea- lol OMG see not feeling well !
YOU are amazing
Must try this! I bought some awhile ago but haven’t used them By the way, I bought one of your little flower purses. I love it❤️
I'm ready now to try my new brush pens. I only have one question. Should we see the stems in the vases?
Thanks 🙏🏼!
I Love your painting with the brushpens and will look for mine to try the same 😊 But like Tara Sue Salusso I waited until the end for the stems in the glass jars. Did you forget them?
150K 🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳
Love this! I've never used brush pens do you recommend this brand?
I recommend any brand thats affordable!
@@ellencrimitrent Thank you!
Wonderful tutorial 😊
Imagine the jars aren’t see through! Can’t see the stems then. Feel better Ellen!
LOL know makes great banter that I forgot them - :)
I have to say, than a good artist could paint using anything regardless of the quality…. I am proof because I am not an artist and no matter how expensive a painting tool I use, I still suck at painting😂
Are these professional watercolor pens?
Where did you find this brand you listed as Prestigfy?
Did you post an image with the Stems?
Did anyone notice that the flowers have no stems?
STILL BEAUTIFUL THOUGH. I think it looks better without stems.
Hmmm 🧐
What brand of brush paints did you use today? Thanks..
presitigify
Thank you
I have them,but hardly used...hmm
lol
That is pretty!
I like the colors you used! 😄👍
I'm glad you like it
