      Until today I had no idea this interview even existed. I missed most of Da Ali G Show back on Friday nights on Channel 4.
      Who would’ve thought Jacob Rees-Mogg had such a good sense of humour?
      I was a self involved teenager back then so I guess that was a busy night for me pissing about with my daft friends.
      Thank god TH-cam has preserved all this!

      This is the sort of thing that has been used by Rees-Mogg to portray himself as a 'bit of a character', etc., whereas, in fact, he's a greedy, selfish, hard-right professional politician.
      Just one example: post-Brexit, the first thing that happened was that the company he is involved with moved to Ireland - in the EU. The effects of Brexit were only for the plebs.

    Fun fact: Mogg thought this was a serious interview when he agreed to do it, and felt sorry for "Ali G" asking stupid questions and thought he probably get fired for being so useless. He also thought "well this is channel 4 for you!"

    This was one of his best interviews. A lot of the political & social elite didn't have a clue about the character and truly believed it was a proper interview by a dimwit from Staines😂

      I’ve heard that they start the interview with someone who looks like a generic Channel 4 presenter, then switch to Ali G 😂 I’m not 100% on that but I hope that’s true.
      It makes sense because, at the time, people would probably think “Oh Channel 4, maybe that’ll boost my career” and they were right, just not in the way they were expecting 😁

      He's been anoying for years......I knew the rumours about him when he was at oxford but he actually has been talking agreat deal of common sense for years and years on the EU and literally everything he says he argues for form an understood position.... Fair play to him...... just the real deal of what he is..... and a decent chap. I like so much of what he says... i despair at people who disagree with him.. and he knows his history and there is a whimsicality and sense of humour and an openess about him....... he is turning out well I would say. Hardly put a foot wrong ... he knows his history and his economics......and he has a genuine spirt of public duty.

      Jacob Rees-Mogg has said more than once that the safety standards currently employed in India will be sufficient for the UK post-Brexit.

      He speaks beautifully unfortunately that won't stop the nasty vindictive discriminatory policy attacks on the the disabled mentally ill and long term sick. They've changed their definition of terminally ill overnight, the rule change means those disabled by mental illness lose £100 per week a huge loss when you are on benefits, sounding polite doesn't stop the all too common ritual humiliation of disabled people with privatised PIP and work capability assessment. (60% of which are reversed on appeal)
