    oooh excited to see what you think about these books! i've been thinking of reading babel and rest & relaxation, and as long as a lemon tree grows sounds super compelling. also i can't waaiit for the crescent city review, i had literally the same experience watching the cari can read video on the book lmao. i don't keep up too much with recent releases tbh, but i want to read age of vice by deepti kapoor

    Homs is pronounced with a short a sound “Hams”. Not like hams but more like Holmes with an a if that make sense. Sorry if that made it worse. That book hits close to home. Especially with everything going on in Palestine. Definitely bring out the tissues for that one. Looking forward to your videos this month!

    I don't think you'll have the problem with Babel that you're imagining. I didn't end up thinking the book was successful in the way I hoped it would be, but I don't think it falls into that "change from the inside" trap. I'm curious to see what you think about it!
