I don't know the rationale behind the charges. Without knowing we can't comment on them. But, there are so many other homoeopathy doctors who provide treatment at an affordable fee. You can get the "hope for the hopeless" from them too. Also, the doctors you have mentioned are at the top level in their field. We always find it costlier when we want the best in anything. Moreover homoeopathy treatments are focusing to be curative and not palliative for any disease unlike allopathy. It's better to pay a high charge and get cured by homoeopathy rather than maintaining a chronic disease either intentionally or unintentionally to get monthly installments lifelong as in allopathy.

I've always been told the name of the remedy I've been given. And I always tell people the remedy I am giving them, and it is right on the bottle. I don't know a single homeopath who doesn't provide this information to their patients. It's right on the label, whether liquid or pellet form. Is this not standard practice in India like it is in the rest of the world?

Yeah, if you go to a celebrity doctor they're pretty expensive. Allopaths charge a lot of money for celebrities, too. Most homeopaths are very inexpensive.
I've always been told the name of the remedy prescribed. If you haven't I suggest asking your doctor for more info.
