    Wow Daniel. That is lovely. What a beautiful view. Gorgeous storm. The colors are amazing and hearing that Aussie accent is music to our American ears. Thank you for the years of viewing. Best wishes. 🇺🇸

    What a great chase Daniel, very intense road conditions there, well done alerting the other drivers to the trees, really enjoyed watching this and your audio commentary also gives the footage that extra something special.

    Beautiful beautiful footage! I'm in the US, but have friends in NSW... a real treat for me to get to see it via your drone! Amazing storms!
    Daniel, safe safe travels my friend. Have care and post when you can! Enjoy your work immensely, even though these storms terrify me. I was the last two years in Oklahoma City... and before that Duncan OK, taking care of my daughter with cancer.
    I live in south Louisiana and experienced my first two hurricanes when Laura roared ashore.
    I honestly prefer tornados, as they are shorter acting... and much over the nor'easters of late as I experienced in Nova Scotia Canada.
    Be well and safe sir... prayers go with you!

    Spectacular footage, Daniel! Thank you very much for posting this. Hopefully, La Niña will loosen its grip on the Great American Southwest this year and allow for some significant rainfall. We are so very dry along the Front Range in Colorado. Looking forward to your fabulous videos in the coming storm chase season here in the US. Stay safe, and happy travels!

    For some reason watching and listening to you belting through that much precip at speed is the most relaxing thing in the world. This video is the first one in my sleep playlist.

    Hi Daniel,
    Just started watching you channel that would have to be the best storm I've seen in years.
    Up until last year I was on the road doing rep work for an out door power equipment products and used to do around 500-600 klms per day covering county NSW ,
    Unfortunately I didn't encounter much storm activity to my disappointment , only 1 at Tamworth and there was two storm fronts coming through .
    I just pulled up into the motel unloaded the car and thought I would give my RC Heli a fly in the field right next to my back door , had to set down as this storm was right on top of me LOL.
    My parents used to live right on the bay in the Sutherland shire we would climb on top of the roof and watch the southerly busters with hail come ripping up the bay.
    Or I would sit at the reserve on my bike and wait till the very last minute and race the hails storm back home.

    As someone who lives in Victoria ive never witnessed a tornado. Ive only witnessed an earthquake, hail, thunderstorms and small floods. This is so cool but the sad part is seeing what happens after a tornado

    Hi Daniel I'm a newby to your YT channel, I live in Junee NSW & we haven't had a storm like this one since 2010. I love storms & when we do get a storm which isn't alot these days I'll video & take photos while I sit on my front veranda.
    This storm you followed was awesome

    Awesome drone footage! Crazy weather- loved the lightning display. 100% white-knuckle driving for sure... even I was tense, and I was only watching. Kudos to you for looking after other motorists:)

    What an incredible storm! So much lightning! Why don't we ever get the good ones down in VIC? My friend came down from Toowoomba couple of weeks ago and said "if there's one awesome thing about QLD it's the storms!" Great driving by the way, love considerate people on the road

    I LOVE watching your severe weather content, im from the UK (London Suburbs) and UK weather is the most boring weather on earth, its either sunny (mild or hot) or its grey and drizzly rain with occasional downpours….i would absolutely love to see a proper thunderstorm in action with all the lightning, we might get a bang a flash twice a year and its over lol

    Good to see you taking time to pull branches off the road. If there is ne thing I have seen this season is tonnes of tree debris across roads. Parkes 10th November 2021 was the worst. As for 7th Jan 2022 I surfed that shelf / squall for near 400kms. Not my favourite storm mode. See in your clip that a drone makes a huge difference

    Hey daniel, good to see a chase in aus :) im trying to find aus storm videos and strugging to, actually! I thought there would be heaps, we get some pretty knarly storms sometimes!
    Ive become worried about australian tornados as of late, actually. As i realised we are not prepared for them at all. Not even sure where to get alerts, bom says their radar system is failing.. I'm thinking i better get good at watching out for signs of them. To me the storm youre in looks pretty tornado-y? Was there tornado conditions in this storm?

      Would just be decent spotlights bud. Nearly Every 4x4 has them here in Australia. I have 5 7in lights on my roof and 2 9in lights on my bullbar. Makes seeing those pesky kangaroos at night a little easier when you bring a box of sunlight with you lol 😆

    I am always surprised at how close people can get to a tornado. It is rather quiet till your on top of it.

  • @karimonster
    @karimonster 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Daniel, I'm the same way when it comes to debris in the road and especially when I'm running my mail route the day after a strong Texas storm. I spend as much time moving debris as I do delivering mail!
    What a big, beautiful, absolute monster of a storm front. Do y'all get tornadoes and such like we do here? I've not gotten to spend a whole lot of time in Australia and almost all of it on the Gold Coast. I know if that came through town, I'd have the dogs crated in the tornado shelter for the night just in case! LOL

    • @maddy9949
      @maddy9949 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi karimonster,
      Local Aussie here, no tornados are not normal for those cells as they come mostly off the open ocean and if they start rotation it's normally before it makes landfall and is classified as a cyclone (hurricane is the US term). If the cell begins inland it may have potentially produced tornados but due to the vastness of unpopulated areas here, it doesn't get seen (or noted) very often. There is only one storm that I am personally aware of that came from sea and produced what was classified as tornados. The 2013 cyclone Yasi near the Bargara area, I was trapped within the township of Bundaberg and later learned that one of the 3-4 waterspouts turned tornados was actually less than a kilometer from my home.
      Hope this answers your question for you.

    I know this is 11 months later, but a month later after January this storm (rain bomb) hit QLD it flooded everything.
    Siren were on 24/7 it lasted for a 4 weeks. Another reason why Australia is the best and worst country hahaha.
    Edit: 2 - 4 weeks, also we barely get tornadoes, we get them but not alot.
