This was excellent investigative journalism. I have a form of paralysis, waist down, but I could tell the boy needed a Dr and in pain. Most people don't realize there's pain with some forms of paralysis. This just killed me. Broke my heart. Im half way through,, I'm hoping the boy gets home.I think trafficking awareness in those poorest areas would help. Makes me so mad as a disabled person and mom. I cried at the end. You did such a great job.

The look on Fara’s face when his mother said she didn’t have a place for him completely broke my heart. She didn’t seem to care any more about him than the traffickers. I would like to see her and the traffickers punished. These children didn’t ask to be born and do not deserve to be repeatedly failed by everyone around them.

YES, and THIS boy is going to grow up doing GREAT THINGS for others; He's truly , been there done that, and he will not forget.
I'm sure some of US VIEWERS will be happy to hear that someday this mother suffers from REGREAT someday too?
HEART wrenching video; and THIS lady is a miracle worker; IF SHE were asking for donations to continue HER work, WE , so many of us would COMPLY...But we are so tired of seeing the SAME photos of the SAME little boy who was undernourished and being attached by flies that other producers continue to use! This lady ( is her name Njeri Mwangi?) deserves a medal for her investigations; what a great lady; God bless her for her heartfelt endeavours. But along with our donations WE would also like to send birth control pills to this "disabled boy's " mother; if she let traffickers take her son, then she should really be told to stop having more children too!? @@frankkyando5539 our Swahili and the one from TZ differs. If you read the captions, she meant it will be a challenge having him as she is living in a remote area far from facilities that could assist him. She promises to organise herself so he can eventually reunite with her and the rest of her family. The nexus between poverty and disability is clear in this story. A poor family with a child with disability will more likely than not fall further into poverty. He is being helped and will probably have more access to services that will improve his ability to become more self-reliant than if he went back to his mother.

I honestly cannot believe the lengths Njeri Mwangi went to tracing back Fara's family, and especially the sadness in her face when the trafficker's name is recognized. You can only imagine what she feels and goes through everyday through getting this story - from seeing the many disabled people at the bus stage, to having to only settle on one to focus on, to being bold to involve the police (honestly that could go either way), to seeing the big picture in the stroy... big, big, ups Njeri!!!!! I wish we could rally behind you on such stories!!

It was absolutely gut-wrenching to see how the disabled are taken and exploited for the gain of others. I would like to think there's a special place in hell for them. Persons with disabilities are human beings as well. They aren't perfect the way the world isn't perfect, but they would like to go about their lives as normal as possible too. I speak from experience. Is that how we're seen? As dollar signs? As subhuman, to be beaten, starved and maltreated? We're human beings! Though the subjects of this investigation were arrested, more still needs to be done. Let's not forget, one day that could be us with the disability.

Are u the one who will be living and taking care of Fara on a daily basis?
the village life is not easy, the centre Farah currently is living, is better for him.
He would not be able to have the care he is getting if he moved back without his family being prepared, the road safety and structures in remote areas is not suited to wheelchair users....the list goes on. And how is his mother to afford his care needs? Poverty is merciless, it doesn't give you many options as u may have when u have money, poverty forces you to be realistic and as heartless as the mother may come across..you guys are not the ones who will have to deal with the harsh realities of taking care of Fara.

It’s so F’ing frustrating to see this! This woman is a great journalist and a great person for bringing this to the light. BBC Eye On Africa is doing a good job. This is not the first time they are learning about this. Why are they now faking interest or concern? What will Mr Lupilya do about the tragedy now that he did not do before? Why is everyone pretending that there are very many dynamics, how the attitude is to treat Kenya as the dumping ground for the children even families wish to offload? Doesn't everyone know this? Let Tanzania be more transparent, there are things that are known and even encouraged. Maybe that is another dimension to investigate; the role of authorities in encouraging this. Let the truth be heard.

This is so inhumane and evil, my heart bleeds for these kids. I am so glad there was a happy ending. Keep up doing the good job Njeri 👏 . Thank you for standing in the gap for those helpless mums who probably would have never ever seen their kids again. Be blessed ❤️

I am beyond grateful for this wonderful and strong Woman who helped and put her life on a risky situation just to help people who are in needs..God will give you more strength along with your team…good health with your family and stay you safe everytime you will go on the risky scene….

Faraha 's MOTHER needs an "attitude adjustment!" LIKE TO SEE HER defend herself on FRONTLINE or a National TV .
The video right before this one, luring young ladies to INDIA is equally as disturbing :"Imported For my Body"...
This lady ( is her name Njeri Mwangi?) deserves a medal for her investigations; what a great lady; God bless her for her heartfelt endeavors. But along with our donations WE would also like to send birth control pills to this "disabled boy's " mother; if she let traffickers take her son, then she should really be told to stop having more children too!? GIVE US THAT " ADDRESS" by which we could donate to this investigator?

This is heartwrenching, these disabled children need to be taken care of and not exploited. This is also an immigration problem if the Kenyan immigration officers combined efforts with their Tanzanian counterparts this problem can be a thing of the past.

I couldn't hold myself from shedding tears. Just can't imagine fellow human being sucking the blood of his fellow, for the sake of money. God bless the Lady that painstakingly brought this to the whole world. Though we have this disgusting episode taking place in many African countries, the ball is now in the court of Kenyan and Tanzanian government to help curb this menace.
