I have a 2002 V Star 650 mid build and I can see the work that's been done here and frankly I'm in awe. This is truly some next level stuff, show bike quality. Beautiful bike!
Incredible Work. These Yamaha 650's and 750 make some Incredible Bobbers. You can find these 650 around for pretty cheap if you are looking to Build a Custom...
I'm digging it guys. I am 70 years old and used to operate a huge chopper shop but .. well.. things go. anyway, I just picked up a v star 650. Man The frame.. the top tube set up YUCKOLA! So.... out come the cut off wheels, adios weird ass double tube... in goes a single top tube, press the tubes together where cut and weld. NOW YOU'RE TALKING! Any nice tank fits including a sporty style. Oh yeah... did I mention the frame shock? Chop out 1 coil and your butt is down another 1" Then lose the front fender.. wait... Better yet with a little skill it gets turned into a bobber back fender and we lose those gacky looking struts. Couple of slugs in the front end and we're down another 1 1/2"s hey dudes... sling some crazy paint.. crocodile seat.. we be SMOKIN!
agree with you regarding the struts: they look awful and completely take from the bobbed look by adding back too many parts. Any suggestions as to how to secure the front fender to the rear; the front fender on the vstar is plastic?
this is one of the sick-est custom yammies i have ever seen. i also build bikes as a hobby ever since i retired . most of my stuff is harleys but i have to say that i am very impressed by your workmanship, design and the paintwork. superb job guys !!!
Looks like a 2.2 gal. Sporty tank on the stock dual backbone tubes. That's better than hacking up everything for a single backbone. Great work all around.
It blows my mind how people pull things off. If someone came up to me and said they were going to put a Sportster or peanut gas tank on a V-Star 650 or 1100, I would be thinking no way. The frame is too wide in the tank area. That tank is my favorite and it gets used anytime I can put it on something. Awesome Style. Awesome Paint, Awesome Music, Awesome Everything !!!
Thanks. Yeah I used youtubes stabilize effect to try and get rid of the camera shakes but I'm still iffy on if I like it or not. Makes it kinda trippy. May just take it off.
you guys always have the sickest paint schemes on your bike. Im looking to repaint my bike and was wondering what is the name of the red color you used on this bike
Wow, amazing work! Keep it up brother! How did you accomplish the 16 rear 21 front combo? My bike is stock 15 and 19 looking to upgrade to a more custom look. Thanks!
I probably should know thus ,but........May I ask while sitting on the bike, to your right on the gas tank what is the tube running from close to the top down to the bottom? To be honest I have never seen a set up like this before.
@@TailEndCustoms I absolutely fell in love with the look of this motorcycle!!!!! I've even started looking for a 650 v star. Do you make and sell custom parts for them, or is everything a one off? I can't stop thinking about it!!!!! AWESOME LOOKING BIKE!!!!
Just used a piece of angle iron, torched it so I could change the angle further back. Drilled holes and attached to stock seat bracket and seat. Easy peasy.
Tail End Customs we've all been there man, bike does look good though and that's what matters! Once I get my shovel built I can hopefully start building the vstar I just picked up
the bike is stunning, attention to detail is amazing, just think with the angle of the bike and tank, ape bars would of made it better. Just a personal preference though, love it
Did that peanut tank fit right on. Or you had to do some mods? I have a intruder 750 bobbed the fuck out! I want to do a Vstar now! Sane frames as a softail Harley but $$$$ cheaper
It's amazing what you can do when money in no problem....spared no expense. nice looking for sure. would have been nice if you stopped moving the camera now and then. I need a sea sick pill now.
Bruce T Bruce T you sound a lil sore... anyway the stupid motion stabilizer effect you tube offers threw the video outta wack. Wasn’t actually that much if you do the work yourself.
Great video at the beginning. I like the colors and style of the bike but I'm not digging those crotch rocket or cafe racer styled bars. They take away the look of the bike. Also, the holed strap on the fender as well. It cheapins the look of the bike. IMO. Good music, too!
It's more of a personal preference but check this link out and it may help you decide what you think is better for you. h t t p : // wiki.answers.com/Q/Is_shaft_drive_or_chain_drive_better

Gorgeous bike. I cannot wait to bob out my own V-Star in the coming weeks.
Thanks. Good luck
Wow mate, i am shocked you guys are still replying to a video that was done in 2012. Hats off to you
Better and better every time.
Your Killing it Bro.
That Tank mount is just crazy sick.
V star bobbing to the tunes. Thanks for these unceasing inspirations, always a joy and looking forward!!!

Nice job, one of the best I've ever seen 👍
Thank you very much
Thanks really appreciate the compliments.
Pretty sick, I want to mod mine but I don't like the way the peanut and sportster tanks fit and there's no other options.
TJ Braden yeah you would have to weld in single backbone and go single carb otherwise. Thanks
The bike is awesome. So is the music. The Black Angles are the perfect music for this bike video. Edit out the wind noise though.
Thanks

Hello
I’m trying to install sportster tank on my 650 , but there s no space under the tank . I can’t fit pod filters.
How did you do it ?
Thanks
LIONKILLER1986 rear tank tunnel I had to beat a little bit so the pod would fit.
Thanks for advice :) , if you still remember , can you tell me plz what kind of pod filters did you put ? They were about 60mm tall ?
Thank you !
Don’t remember the size but they were cone style not pancake style. The cone fits easier in the tunnel.
Oh, and I really like the piston tail light.
Can you tell me the name of that style of tank and where he got it?
Sportster peanut tank customized.
It's a stock 15" rear. The 21" was just custom fitted with a Harley 21" wheel.
Do's any 21" from HD frondwheel in the original frond fork?
Send you also a email!!!
is that the front fender you used on the back or a kit
what size tire and rim did you use for front and back tire? by the way, GREAT JOB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!111
WELL DONE..... love the tank, and paint!!
Sweet bike what rear tire is that?
Is that rear fender a kit or is it custom? Looking to do something similar with mine. Awesome bike!
Actually this was a kikker5150 rear fender. Not sure if you can get them anymore. That business sucks
Awesome bike mate!!!
What is the rear tire u use? Is it 15 inc wheel?
What tires and front wheel has it, and how you got rid of the ugly air filter?
Tires are Eternal Rise. Can't find them anymore. Look up GAK Mod for Air filter change
Thanks
is shaft drive better than chain drive?
There really aren't words. Never seen anything of this caliber.
Thank you. I appreciate it.

How much will one like this cost me. I'm interested
I probably should know thus ,but........May I ask while sitting on the bike, to your right on the gas tank what is the tube running from close to the top down to the bottom? To be honest I have never seen a set up like this before.
Michael Smith it is a fuel site gauge so you can see how much fuel you have.
Thanks Joseph. How ya been?
ide really love to know what type of pipes these are
Custom
also what size tank is that if you remember, and how did you mount it? thanks
Probably 2.3 or 2.4 gal. Just made custom tabs and mounts
AWESOME LOOKING!!!!
Robert Alexander Thanks

Love the bike!!!
what do these pipes run $$ someone if make them for somebody?
Any specs? I just got a Vstar, I want to know what kind of handle bars those are and what kind of tires. Please.
41mm clip ons ebay
Did you use powder coating for most of the engine and parts? I want something like this done colour wise to my bike
Motor is painted, top plastic covers are painted, motor side covers are piwdercoated. Thanks
can i ask where you got the speedometer and how you have it attached, love that idea, thanks!!
Mikesxs and tab on motor cover.
Beautiful job, the standout feature for me is what you did with the seat, love it: with no springs it looks much better. How did you mount it?
Just used a piece of angle iron, torched it so I could change the angle further back. Drilled holes and attached to stock seat bracket and seat. Easy peasy.
@@TailEndCustoms nicely done, thank you Sir.
@@SuppressioHibernicis no problem. Thank you
Que barbaro una locura hermosa!!! Tremenda choppers

Where can I get a exhaust like that. I just bought a 650 vstar.
They are custom. Sorry not making any at the moment.
where could I get the slip-ons in between the tripple trees?
Exhaust tubing, drill some holes and powdercoat and done.
+Tail End Customs looks like that's what I'll do, thanks
+Michael Troutman no problem. Yeah pretty easy. Just used some leftover scrapes I had. I believe they were 1-7/8"
+Tail End Customs how do you wire up the turn signal switch on these bikes?
Michael Troutman just with a toggle switch. You may have to add resistors if you use leds.
1:18 stupid edit is removed....loving the bobber look, just pick a 03 650 up for $350 without a tank, seat or fenders so I know what I'm doing!
Norvell07 yeah I was young dumb and went a lil overboard lol.
Tail End Customs we've all been there man, bike does look good though and that's what matters! Once I get my shovel built I can hopefully start building the vstar I just picked up
Where do you guys shop for the switches? I'd like to re-route my switches so the bike doesn't look like Frankenstein
gotformulalt1 ebay tons of styles. Or local radio shack
Had a Harley chopper and had most of my electrical components between the seat and the tank. Sure made things convenient.

beautiful custom bike.
Haha thanks man. It's actually candy root beer over gold and silver flake.
Can you make these for a 650 vstar
Yeah if you can bring me the bike. I have no jigs setup for pipes. They are all one offs from whatever bike I'm working on.
Haha I'm in Springfield Illinois I dont think I'll be able to bring the bike
You have spare jigs yet
No jigs sorry
Damn only pipes I really like anywhere that i put on my bike
