I was informed of the issue by someone that just randomly co-oped to my world I let them in and they asked if I was scared of them being Kaveh. I told them no and asked why and they explained what was going on in other people's worlds
As for the exploit, from what I heard, it was just Kaveh. I know that there was a video of Nahida deleting a Petrified Tree, but the original creator of that video did come forward and explained that they used an overlay to make it look like they deleted their tree and asked their co-op partner to act surprised. The exploit pretty much just relied on Kaveh being able to explode Dendro Cores immediately, which so far no other Dendro character can do
I came to the video expecting some big corporate drama, but being honest the Kaveh-Thanos moment was pretty dramatic, I agree this exploit was pretty annoying and dangerous.
I remember going into Co-op during this crisis, and the person said “You better not be taking out a Kaveh”. I didn’t know about the glitch yet, and I was like: “Hmm, you must really not like Kaveh.”
I recently encountered a hacker on asia server aswell I even recored it. he had furina with her signature but the sword was burning and when he attacked he would freeze in the animation and everything died cuz they took dmg like 100x per sec it was crazy. they could also teleport and spawn random enemies from other regions or create dendro cores and make them explode whenever he wants
First. he haven't said he reported him that just head canon until he confirms or denies it Second. Its not like he does something that hurts anyone, I should have understand if he hacked someone the ability to attack other ppl or something like that but this? This is mostly harmless

Good thing I only coop with friends and family. I was too nervous and shy to meet random people I've never met online so my anti-socialness saved my butt.
My friend warned me of this when it all happened and me, the antisocial that never accepts co-op requests, would have been safe regardless. Whenever she saw a Kaveh main she just kicked them asap lol
When all of this happened, my uni started up again. I was on the shuttle to campus and someone sat next to me and we both realized we played Genshin. She said she was an Alhaitham main and I had to admit I was a Kaveh main during the WORST TIME TO BE A KAVEH MAIN 😭
btw a lot of footage that was spread around were fake videos done in private servers and they got posted by the people that created the exploits to fabricate fear in the community
İ love Kaveh hes one of my fav genshin characters despite being 4 star you can tell they put effort in his design and character (especially because he looks a bit like Gilgamesh from Fate)😽
And his backstory is very detailed, and deep. He is also a very complex character with a very complicated past. Some of the 5* has worse backstories, or they have less peronalitues than 4* Kaveh has. ;P
As a kaveh main many people still wont let me in lmao. The only ones that lets me in lower ars (lower than 50) and alhaitham mains. Istg it doesnt work anymore I just want some crystal chunks 😭

I'm gonna be honest, as long as it wasn't something too important, I wouldn't contact HoYoVerse to restore Kaveh damage. If he deleted a tree or some monument from a puzzle I already did, I'd want to keep it around for the history.
I was at the time willing to level my kaveh up but after that glitch I had to take a step back for a moment coz that is scary. I also had to avoid coop 😢
Ahh yes ... the Kaveh Incident. I closed coop for a month due to this lol. Since then, I only coop with ppl I trust which is not a lot and basically I don't do random coop anymore.
But it’s not even an issue anymore, it was solved months ago. Only thing to look out for is the zhongli’s, furinas and nilous with over 70k hp that drains your statue of the seven of all its healing

So for anyone wondering how this exploit even works (on very simplified term): Let's say a dendro core is represented as "dendro core" variable, and since kaveh deletes every dendro core on his area therefore the logical term would be "kaveh deletes every item that has "dendro core" variable in them. Every dendro core generated is the same, thus all of them have the same "dendro core" variable without any unique ID on each of them (which i don't understand why they did this). Now every other stuff in the world also have their own variables that's unique to their own. Now how the exploit works is they change every item's variable name to "dendro core". Then kaveh would delete those items because it have the variable name "dendro core" even though it's not a real dendro core. Thus kaveh deleting an artifact tree would not be reversible since you can't make an already gone dendro core from kaveh's skill to reappear. I'll put the original post in edit where it have the exploit code but i forgot to save the twitter post.

So now I'm really scared of coop in general. i only let or go to ppls world who i know. So be careful ppl, and don't go to suspicious sites. Let's not forget there was a specific section of their official statement that basically said "also stop attributing this negativity to our characters they did nothing wrong" 😂 The Nahida video, I saw one on TikTok or something that a friend shared with me. It looked real, but allegedly the person later admitted to editing it (I never saw this confession myself nor any proof they edited anything). For good measure I just assumed Nahida could as well. Some people said it was specific to Kaveh because of the dendro core thing, but some said that most/all items you can hit/interact with have a life/death meter (like setting random crates on fire etc). If I recall, some claimed that because you can set hp to go down on these things. only enemies can respawn after they die, those items that "die" never come back because they have to trigger to refresh at daily reset, since they weren't created to be destroyed by characters. This had been the most well written explanation that included the possibility of others besides Kaveh doing it, so I took it as most likely fact. I just figured that something specific to Kaveh made him the easiest to do the hack with and that's why they chose him. That or the fact he's such a kind character who builds and they wanted to use him for destruction

I feel so disconnected 😭 i never know about this stuff but I do always keep to myself in literally everything, I’m basically a hermit watching from the shadows, I can’t hear what people are saying but I can see them lips moving. When I first started playing I did co op all the time and I started in 1.4 or 1.3, I’m pretty sure it was 1.3 cause I remember the festival changing everything in town and I got super excited but confused and i had no idea what was happening and I also didn’t know what the limited events were. But around 1.6 I completely stopped co op because I heard about the hacking issues and I heard people get targeted when playing co op and I loved my account so I tried to make my account look small and insignificant to people looking for people to play with and never accepted a co op request again.
The Nahida ones did turn out to be fake. It was an edit done on a private server. Also, as someone said in the chat, I do wonder if there are some players out there who have stuff missing but don't even know it yet cuz the hacked Kaveh simply took off and caused havoc in their world, claiming they were just gonna take some flowers or whatever.
TBH if I was the one to discover this, I'd probably just do a tiny bit of harmless trolling in my friends worlds (with permission), like deleting monuments from completed puzzles. I'd take a video and send it to HoYoVerse so it could get packed before causing any issues. I'd probably also throw in a polite request for appologems, just cause who wouldn't.
Mujin didn't mention one thing that is after this whole Kaveh thing happened.. thousands of players who didn't even got effected by any of this hack posted so many comments to get primogems compensation for this 😂

The idea of this is that in game engine there are a name for each item (that name is used to make script work) so the scripter made the collider of the e ability to make any thing that collider touch named by "dendro core" and the script that destroy the spawned dendro core will destroy any item with that tag "dendro core" funny thing to know
This Kaves situation gave me an idea. What in the future when we have the full map, Mihoyo turns off the teleport points and gives a quest in which we have to go manually from A to B, like Natlan to Mondstadt without death. It would be dope.

He can delete anything that is interactive object, do you know when you use elemental sight interactive objects turn white right? Thats the objects he can delete, thats why spiral abyss and bosses can be deleted

The Venti + Diluc bug is huge that Hoyo immediately fix it within a week. It definitely abused to fight local legend with 2M HP by lots of players.

This hack is insane. They can even delete the traveler, YES THE FCKIN MC. I watched a video they tried deleting mc and their genshin froze and crash and they cant login anymore.

He can delete anything that is interactive object, do you know when you use elemental sight interactive objects turn white right? Thats the objects he can delete, thats why spiral abyss and bosses can be deleted

There isn't. The gameplay and story are exactly the same. The only thing that changes is the character models and voicelines.
