We were robbed from getting a Noelle KFC Skin. Noelle should have been rewarded a skin for her role as the Superior Marketing Tool
There should have been a redemption code on the back of each KFC Noelle paper cutout so that the person who steals it gets a limited edition KFC Noelle skin

The funny thing is that the pins were available in the genshin pop-up shops this year and if you bought the pin with the acrylic stands you would also get a postcard.
Yess I literally saw them selling it in a store the other day 😭
You can even get the pins online. 🙈 Elbenwald (German shop that sells everything anime/gaming merch related) has those pins for sure.
Seeing this huge crowd and waiting lines just proves to me once again how I keep underestimating Genshin's popularity
As someone who just came from Anime Expo a couple weeks ago, Genshin is massive. Most likely most cosplayed series and hoyoverse had one of the biggest booths in the entire convention center (which was always line capped)

as someone who's been here since 1.2, the KFC collab did come to global but only as in-game recipes and the twitch collab came almost a year or more after
The chicken sandwich was one of the best to make in bulks for gadget, until the sumeru meat wrap came

I find EN voices too loud/insufferable and while I respect the VAs I just find English as a language's way of emoting things either too obnoxious, loud or rude. Thing is, around that same time frame Amber's CN VA also changed (because that VA decided to retire from voice acting) and Oz' CN VA also changed around then (Oz' CN VA was caught having an affair with a fan of the game years before the Tighnari EN VA stuff even happened)

When these kinda things happen with limited edition merch from things like these, I try to remember I'm an art student, I can make myself some pins or whatever. It's printed , its worth it over buying food and battling other people for it. These days crafts are very easy to make or commission.
It's easy foe an art student, but there are a lot of us who can't do the things you do. lol We have no choice but to spend out money if we want something like that.
Sorry to hear you have dirty KFC restaurant. In the Philippine, A staff employee would immediately clean a recently vacated table using soap, bleach, other sanitizer kits that they sometimes smell like freshly washed clothes.

That sounds nice! Philippines is the country to go to, it seems, especially for good restaurants and take out. I'm from the UK, like Bran and I remember a KFC I went to that had some weird ash coloured dirt on the floor and the tables were covered in it too, as well as pieces of food left behind. I wish here in the UK, hygiene in eateries was better. They should take notes from Filipinos. I've never been to KFC since then.
To think there is ever a collaboration of Genshin and KFC, that's just hilarious, then we got Pizza Hut, and now Arby's??? Are you kidding me???

This Incident was actually in the news and NOT in a good way. It headlined COVID-19 protocol violation resulting to the CLOSURE of several KFC restaurants. And yes, it was during the height of the pandemic
They were working with people losing their 50/50s in-game and in real life for a chance to get one of 90 pins. Of course it’s gonna be chaos
Global players underestimate the powers of CN Genshin players honestly. CN went wild and is still going wild over Genshin.
even KFC and hoyo himself underestimated the love of players. They never expected crowds of people to show up, otherwise they would definetly prpared more pins.

They will also be spending spending several years in prison depending on the value of the items (term conviction would be between 7 to 15 years while the severe is life imprisonment but I don't think a Noelle or Diluc merchs would cost THAT much)

The fact that statistically, a good number of people who stood in line to try to get the limited merchandise during the height of Covid probably contracted it and died is extremely sad….
One of the big reasons why so many people showed up was that people were bored. as. heck. due to all the pandemic stuff, so they treated the collab event as an impromptu Genshin expo. Chaos ensued xD
There is a mod with which you can have that Noelle skin. I think that Diluc skin is also available as a mod.

As far as i know, this happened because COVID still very active during the event.
Though this happened during CoVid, and some KFC locations had seen some ah . . . problems (with CoVid regulations, polices and whatnot) . . . In that event, some participants took *No-L* at all, since it looks pretty fun, if not exhausting for introverts like me. Not to mention, *Di-luck* some of them had when they came was pretty sweet as well, considering some of them successfully got the pins, merchandise, or at least escaped with Noelle cutouts.

They may have been "force" to return that. China's punishment for thievery can range between 15 years to LIFE imprisonment. Pleading guilty won't score you sympathy points from their justice system either

@@christian1neza1656 It wasn't that bad, it was most likely around 3 years top (around 15 days at most regularly) because the stolen item wasn't expensive. But I do believe most players knew that thievery is bad
@@christian1neza1656 Dude you are exaggerating here, in China most ordinary thefts will only get you a few days' detainment. Only when the amount of your theft is very large, or if you committed thefts multiple times will the sentence be UP TO 3 years. If the theft with a large amount is combined with other serious situation - such as harming public security, it could be 3-10 years. Only when the theft amount is EXTRAORDINARILY large and combined with other grave felonies (very rare) will it be 10+ years. It's really similar to the sentences in other countries

Now think of it, HYV choose twitch is a better idea than offline event, that, not all place has KFC, and in some places like the US, two people may turn a arguing for pins into a mass shooting, so......yeah, twitch is fine
I've noticed a lot of many many franchises such as genshin, and even anime do collabs with other companies but (to my knowledge) ones in the western areas don't do that
and to make things worst, during the global send out, people complained hard of not getting the chicken even if you can get the wings way cheaper with twitch discounts etc.

I still remember the videos online of players being publicly shamed because they tried to steal the cutouts or decorations from the stores. And, of course, they originally weren't planning on making the glider available for global until the rest of the players threw a huge fit about it. Also I'm curious, can new players even get those recipes anymore?
I don’t think new players can obtain them anymore since the event probably isn’t coming back anytime soon, as it was just a collab, and I honestly feel kinda bummed bc I never got to obtain the recipes and stuff.

can't say anything aout the US but here in Belgium and the netherlands fast food chains like McD and BK are generally clean in my experiences

Heck, even people lift their tray with their trash and they deposit in the bin themselves and act civilized towards the employees.

Man, I just want to witness ANY good crossover event. Aloy was kinda meh but I respect the effort, though they completely left the character to die.
But I honestly would love a crossover with DMC, imagine an event where you can get both Dante and Vergil as characters, Dante as a claymore pyro character and Vergil as either an Electro or Cryo sword user. You could even add their weapons into the gacha for MONEY, rotating in again sometimes so they aren´t completely gone. A Yamato sword and a Rebellion claymore would be epic. Make their elemental skills something unique throughout the series, like Dante using the Dance Macabre (a series of wild swings, make it end in a pyro explosion) and Vergil´s Judgement Cut (the move where he sheathes Yamato, only to draw it multiple times, slashing faster than the human eye and causing ranged slashes, make it elemental to fit the game). Their Elemental Burst could easily be Devil Trigger, adding their element as infusion to their normal attacks and empowering their skills with something.
Come on, it almost writes itself, Mihoyo!

The KFC closest to me doesn't have any tables. It has a long ledge/counter on the window with "bar" type stools along it. There were picnic tables out in the parking lot, but I think they are gone now. The culture here is to get in and out quick. You either eat at home or in a nearby park.

1:39, problem with skins in this game is genhsin always incorporate their skins with lore(not some flavor text) and events. Not sure if this will change in the future, for example they'll get lazy like other games that just releases skins just for the sake of skins.

i'm pretty sure at least a few Diluc ones got taken. i remember seeing footage of some guy trying to take it and a listing of one on a cn resale site like ebay. also as a note for the pins. take it from someone who often competed for merch against cn and jp players of my old games...they are very intense about their merch and can spend way more than most whales in other areas. 80 bucks for one pin/badge is nothing. the fact they're rare ad the characters they are drive the value up so much. i remember a super rare badge for a character i loved going for more than 130 usd.
i think that most people didn't like the prospect of having to sub specifically. a loud minority expected them free but most assumed we'd get some other overseas food collab or something else more tangible than a sub req. i remember being upset because back then i really was intimidated by twitch and never really used it; i only lurked in a few streams for months and even now i don't sub because i have the worst schedule for keeping up with the streamers i like
