@@sassymax1642 Driving auto on manual mode is actually really fun and a hell of a lot easier than manual. You can swap between full auto and semi auto on the fly. I drove a few hours on semi auto and I gotta say, it's pretty damn fun. That might be a good mix of convenience and fun for you, give it a shot.
I was surprised at how good modern automatics have gotten. I'm just talking normal torque converter automatics. Definitely worth a go. Manuals are fun but the elitism you see over manuals is so tiring in the online car enthusiast community.
Cars are my passion. In my childhood i was dreaming about driving sport cars but im 35 now in my country cars are so expensive because of taxes and i cant afford it. Eventually all my dreams are wasted now im just looking at them (sportcars).
Tipical idiotic comment, you can't control extremely powerful cars, yet you're saying there's not enough power. Weight is all, I'll choose a light car with 200hp (reliable and easily modifiable) rather than a powerful boat that gives you absolutely no sensation.

After test driving an '18 limited, I was impressed at many different aspects of this car (I would buy one), and take back almost, but not all, all of the negatives I had about it. I thought the driving position was good and the car asks/begs you to give it the beans and doesn't really complain when you do...Sure, there's the tq dip, and tight backseat, but these are items that can be worked around and adjusted to. It has enough positive attributes that I would daily this more than/over the (3 pedal) VW wagon (dad mobile) I had my eyes set on for my next #1 car....I am now in the camp that wants to see this car developed further and continue in a 2nd version.
These cars are at their best when specifically use for drifting. Their amazing at it drifting well balance car. For me personally if your not getting it for drifting theirs no point in getting it.

It is a quality sports car. Very good drive feeling, shifting gears feels great, good transmission, 50/50 weight distribution, RWD, and of course insanely good handling. There are a lot of things that make the BRZ an extremely fun to drive car. For those complaining about power, there's a vid on youtube of a Hellcat trying to beat a BRZ's time on a track and it loses by 10s. Handling >> raw dumb power.
It's weird that you think the car will sell better without a boxer engine (source of thrashy sound), with extra weight and cost for interior sound deadening, and lastly the suspension is what makes the car corner so well... Softer suspension would pretty much take all the gusto out of this car.

manual gives you more control of your acceleration and speed.
My dream car is an Evo X but honestly too expensive for me and now really considering getting a BRZ instead they're pretty cool

I was the opposite. Liked it, then i drove it. That lack of acceleration was astonishing.
Toyota wants to release a 2nd gen in 2021 with even lower center of mass, better suspension and more power.
