- Harley a 17 year old, mix, is feeling her years. She stands "Camped Under" or "Stands Under" and her lower back is hunched up. Her rear base-stance is wide. Her glutes, and hamstrings have atrophied. She is under weight, but her appetite is still robust. Her attitude is fantastic.
She has been checked by her Vet and is in good health. "She's old" is the prognosis.

My dog recently passed at 17 years old. The owner is definitely doing the right thing. All you can do at that age is make them as comfortable as possible for their twilight years.

My dog was 13 and became paralyzed last summer from spinal meningitis, we're not sure how e got it. I massaged him and tried a wheelchair, but he got to where he cried all night and would snap at me when I tried working with him or putting him in the wheelchair. I couldn't find a K9 chiropractor and we were still locked down. He passed away in June.
Beautiful old girl. She seems much more comfortable. Thats all you can ask for ar 17. You all are great dog parents!

@@kathleenallen6782 Such a big question and big answer. I could do an hour on this topic. But, yes, massage is awesome! Adjustments: removing subluxations last as long as they last on humans and animals. So many variables and factors. Age, health condition, teeth, hoof health, exercise, rest, nutrition, love, living stress free vs. stress. Saddle fit. over work, under work, etc, etc. Anything that you can do for a human or animal that deposits "money in the bank" will offset "bouncing a check". The main thing is to recheck the human or animal and see what "held" and what drifted back into it's old patterns.

Towards the end of the video, her eyes started sparkling ✨! She looked so much happier after all of her adjustments, happier in her skin as it were. Thanks for sharing this gorgeous senior with us, and I loved her little pupdate at the end.

7:04 C 4 adjustment ...pretty loud crack ...making muscle knot disappear. Many tough spots on Harley ..you did a great job Her back is flatter. Such A good dog...she really knew that you were helping her....and the video of her eating at home ....with her back as straight as an arrow.....confirms it. Wonderful family ending.

For the record I watched the whole video and didn’t skip Because for me, it’s interesting to watch the body language of the animals, with their different and unique personalities. Plus you are good at explaining things and talk to the animals like they are friends (which they are!) 🙂

You might do a search online for animal chiropractors in your area. I'm a big fan of animal rescue videos. I've suggested chiropractic treatments for animals instead of surgeries, if possible.

Oh Doctor…I know you probably noticed this but I wanted to let you know I noticed it too. At 15:04 when you were adjusting her backside and her butt was in the air her jaw quivered. I’ve been watching your videos since March now and I am noticing these things. I love the way the dogs or any of the animals go what the hell just happened and you can see them digesting it it’s really cool great job doctor

Thanks Pamela, Harley has some chronic pain. I'm looking for those tender spots, and trying to ease the position of the spine to lessen the situation. Good eye. I can't always see everything, and sometimes I "see better without my eyes" and figure it out thru touch.
