+DiCaproductions Even one of the commentators mentioned a closing Blaney both times... but now it's Gordon in the booth instead of in that 24 car, and a Blaney of a new generation... man it's crazy how time flies!
Watching this in September of 2021 puts it in such amazing context. Larson, the odds on favorite to win this year’s Cup edging it out over the defending series Champ in Chase Elliott with Blaney right there behind them.. None of them had a regular season win at the time.. 5 years later they’ve combined for 1 overall series championship, 1 regular season championship, 10,772 laps led, & 31 wins. Throw in guys like Bowman, Byron, Custer & Bell (combined 9 wins in Cup) with Briscoe joining this year and Cindric + Burton in 2022.. The future is ridiculously bright.
They need to raise the horse power again, I think that would make the racing even better because they can have more techniques with throttle control to give them better runs. I kinda feel like they lowered the HP so that the Toyota engines will prevail
+Aaron Denson yea! I didnt think it was that confusing just kinda agreed with the media lol but yeah pretty good action especially at the end except mr joey loshito won
Both Larson and Elliott are very talented and very evenly matched. To have them both racing for Hendrick now and both be very unique on road style and oval courses, shows they're growth. They're the future no doubt
Absolutly right ! I simply love Nascar right now , I like gen 6 cars and I even like the chase , the only thing I really want would be a comeback of Rockingham but I LOVE NASCAR
+jeffg24LT21 no it's the exact opposite anyone will wreck Larson to win I mean think of the all star race and the XFINITY race he wrecked by getting bumped into the wall so it's the opposite then what you said
I’m here after Larson just had the closest finish in NASCAR history which ironically enough happened a day after the Kentucky Derby that had a crazy finish in its own right.
Larson and Elliott put on a show, not just for the spectators but for the commentators. Just listen to the commentators, especially DW, and how much fun they are having watching this
Imagine telling us at this time that both of these guys would be racing for Hendrick Motorsports and both would have an All-Star win AND an championship
everyone cries when they were not allowed to do this now they allow it and the same people cry foul its racing your gonna try to get an advantage over the leader to win thats the whole point in a race he didnt dump him and for chase to get sideways like that to still keep a run on larson that was a darn good car he had
jeffg24LT21 So, what do you have to say about Darlington 2003 then... Also, when has Kyle Larson wrecked the leader to win a race (besides that one race on the Daytona backstretch)
this is in reference to kyle larsons comment about he knew he wouldnt win the fans vote with chase elliot. i,am a earnhardt fan to the end dale jr oh wow!!!!! but.. kyle you won this fans vote! you drove your heart out amazing race amazing finish. reminded me of the intimidator thank you kyle your #1 fan teresa hill
Low downforce lots of hp is what nascar needs. No side force and no splitter and rolled doors and add a ride hight rule. See the pinty series cars that what these should look like.
+Steventhe2nd If you look close enough, they're all flared out. The teams are designing them to bend on contact with the ground and from the heat. It's only a penalty if the teams are caught tugging on them.
+Jonathan Tanksley I don't think kenseth was blocking, I think it was a matter of Dover being an extremely touch track to pass. Either way Larson was on kenseth's bumper with 12 to go and he only needed like another 2 or 3 laps before he was going to pass him, while this was all going on it allowed Elliot to get close to Larson and like an idiot he tried passing him only to realize he couldn't even get to kenseth's bumper, so Larson passes Elliot again and didn't get to kenseth's bumper again until it was too late. It's bullshit because Larson should of got his first career win and beat the Toyota fags and Elliot should of finished second instead of them finishing 2nd and third. But Elliot is a rookie so it's not surprising he made a bad move late in the race
+Jonathan Tanksley I just wanted you to know what my thoughts were on the finish to that race, since you said it was because Matt was blocking. I like Elliot and Larson I just think it's unfair how Larson, a guy with so much classiness and respect got so close to winning in not as good of equipment as the guys in front of him and behind him yet had the race taken from him because of someone who wasn't thinking ahead of time
Larson, Elliott, and Blaney are the future of nascar
and Austin and Ty dillion as well as Erik Jones
RFR is coming back
I believe Trevor Bayne and Ricky Stenhouse will find their ground someday
+Poppcergi yes they are heading in the right direction without a doubt
+Tmas805 Go Elliott!
+K Edington Austin Dillion hasn't done shit so far so I wouldn't get too hopeful of him being a superstar
So another 8 wheeled finish with a Blaney closing? History does repeat itself
Brings back memories of Craven and Busch at Darlington in 2003
+IsReallyIt And a Blaney was closing in for both races.
+DiCaproductions shit! I didn't think about the blaney closing in third! History often repeats itself
+IsReallyIt yea me too!!
+DiCaproductions Even one of the commentators mentioned a closing Blaney both times... but now it's Gordon in the booth instead of in that 24 car, and a Blaney of a new generation... man it's crazy how time flies!
Ben May lol yes very true indeed!!!
5 years later it’s still on of the greatest battles of all time
Watching this in September of 2021 puts it in such amazing context. Larson, the odds on favorite to win this year’s Cup edging it out over the defending series Champ in Chase Elliott with Blaney right there behind them.. None of them had a regular season win at the time..

Throw in guys like Bowman, Byron, Custer & Bell (combined 9 wins in Cup) with Briscoe joining this year and Cindric + Burton in 2022.. The future is ridiculously bright.
Update: The 3 now combine for 2 series championships, 2 Regular Season championships, 13,785 laps led, & 42 wins.
@@joshuapittman4663 And now it's 3 cup championships with Blaney
Larson and elliot always gonna be nascar rivals and teammates
Larson does WHAT
Somebody had to say it 😂
The decision to go to low downforce was one of the best decisions NASCAR has made in a long time
Only bad thing about it is at Charlotte it is loose as crap
+Connor That's the point.
+TheFredducky the finish is like harvick edwards at phoenix, bangin each other and they almost wreck!
Alex98 Its great.
They need to raise the horse power again, I think that would make the racing even better because they can have more techniques with throttle control to give them better runs. I kinda feel like they lowered the HP so that the Toyota engines will prevail
That was a beautiful finish. Congrats to both drivers!
Hey it's one of my favorite youtubers
Griffdawg hi
Griffdawg hello Griffffffffff!!!!!!!!!!
This has to be one of the top highlights of the year, and it isn't even a points race!
it wasn't even the main event either lol
+Aaron Denson I can't wait for the All-Star Race! Holy cow it's gonna be good!
+phillies4100 ha wrong! so damn confusing
no other names to think of the actual action was good it was just the format that sucked
+Aaron Denson yea! I didnt think it was that confusing just kinda agreed with the media lol but yeah pretty good action especially at the end except mr joey loshito won
Jeff Gordon is sitting there thinking “man we have to sign this guy” haha
This season is amazing
Yeah so amazing I enjoyed every race ! But the best thing would be Dale Jr as the Sprint Cup champion this year
Look at where they both are now. Champions.
Both Larson and Elliott are very talented and very evenly matched. To have them both racing for Hendrick now and both be very unique on road style and oval courses, shows they're growth. They're the future no doubt
7 years later, the entire top 3 are now all cup champions
I like both of them, what an AWESOME finish. Nascar's future is bright
Absolutly right ! I simply love Nascar right now , I like gen 6 cars and I even like the chase , the only thing I really want would be a comeback of Rockingham but I LOVE NASCAR
+stefga___ I agree with everything you said, except for the chase.
jeffg24LT21 I had 4 notifications and 3 of them are from you talking shit. SHUT THE FUCK UP.
+jeffg24LT21 just like to talk shit about larson. prob a chase bandwagon but hurt boy
+jeffg24LT21 no it's the exact opposite anyone will wreck Larson to win I mean think of the all star race and the XFINITY race he wrecked by getting bumped into the wall so it's the opposite then what you said
Before the dark times.. before the pj1
Larson Vs Elliott is the next big time rivalry in Cup.
Except Elliot is running much more powerful equipment then Larson
+cctitansfan blaney vs chase
+WestCoastFishing How so? They're both in Hendrick equipment...
+WestCoastFishing not exactly, that team is no longer a slouch
Throw Jones in the mix next year and we have a four way battle or contenders under 25
This just proves that Chase and Kyle Larson r the best drivers ever
Now they're teammates! So psyched for 2021
As a chase fan, I had no issue with this. This was really really awesome!
This aged well.
Even in Ganassi equipment, Chase still wasn't shit compared to Kyle
Now Kyle Larson has pulled off a 0.001 finish as well
Finally someone else wins a race not just the usual drivers 👍🏻
That's because the regular drivers are not in the showdown, it doesn't matter who wins everyone in that race is not a regular winner
+WestCoastFishing Larson or Elliot can win the 600!
YES Makes it even better that the 24 got the fan vote!
Who’s here after they both won titles?
and blaney too
@@4js123
Just awesome, remember when those 3 were the young guns, now they are all champions 😁
I’m here after Larson just had the closest finish in NASCAR history which ironically enough happened a day after the Kentucky Derby that had a crazy finish in its own right.
Larson and Elliott put on a show, not just for the spectators but for the commentators. Just listen to the commentators, especially DW, and how much fun they are having watching this
This was a good reason to wake up early on a Saturday morning.
Brian France, take notes, a finish like this is "Quintessential NASCAR"
And now it's few years down the road and they are both all-star race winners.
these 3 are fun as hell to watch
Imagine telling us at this time that both of these guys would be racing for Hendrick Motorsports and both would have an All-Star win AND an championship
This is my favorite NASCAR moment of the year. these are my two favorite drivers, after Gordon left, and this was awesome.
Ricky Craven is proud of that finish
+Mrthe Muppetfan lol (edited)
That's a promising sight!
That was an amazing finish!
All of these drivers are the future...
best race Ive seen all year!
AUUUGH THE ONLY SHOWDOWN I MISS HRRNG
You hear Gordon trying to teach him on the last corner pass xD love Jeff.
Larson, Elliott, and especially Ryan Blaney are the future
This reminds me off the finish in 2005 between Jimmie Johnson and Bobby Lobante.
Reminds Me of Craven & Ku.Busch Cause Blaney is Closing in
"Have you ever...?"
No I’ve never
where can I vote for Chase Elliott? Kid got racing genes
The voting is over now
If I were Chase in that situation at the end, I would be like "OK that's it I don't wanna wreck my car... HIT THE BRAKES!
Man I love Larson and Elliot there my favorite racers
LARSON YEAH!
Would’ve lost if he didn’t pin chase into the wall
@@hacksawjimthuggin7411🤓
everyone cries when they were not allowed to do this now they allow it and the same people cry foul its racing your gonna try to get an advantage over the leader to win thats the whole point in a race he didnt dump him and for chase to get sideways like that to still keep a run on larson that was a darn good car he had
This is the last thing that will make any fucking since in this allstar race
anyone here after elliott’s first all star win?
when they came off turn 4 I thought chase had it
Larson definitely learned from last week on getting more aggressive! Damn good racin between those two.
That was the highlight of the day!
Like the good old days.
That was a good strategy call by Alan Gufiston to put 4 tire on Chase's car
If any Chase Elliott fans complain about this, just remember that Chase did the same thing in the Xfinity Daytona race.
+PttyBlue43 yeah I'm a Elliott fan but Larson did what he had to do to win its just racing thats it plus both drivers made it in either way
As an Elliott fan, I tell my fellow Elliott fans to suck it up. That's racing buttercup.
Oh poor Logano lost a race by almost wrecking Chase by the rear quarter panel.
Those finishes were not simular.
jeffg24LT21 How is Larson wrecking the leader.... When he is the leader??
jeffg24LT21 So, what do you have to say about Darlington 2003 then...
See this is the kind of racing we want. Not full throttle crap
Rubbin's racin. Gotta love it. Hardcore slamming would be different. For stuff like this it's more playful competition to get first.
What is it about this year and close finishes? Does it have to do with the car package this year or what?
They should race like that more often.
Woah photo finish
Comin outta 4, looked like Darlington 2003 :D
+Mr Speed In every possible way. An 8 wheeled finish and a Blaney closing in there in the end
It would have been nice if Chase had won in the 24 car but its over now 😢
He better win Daytona
The SuperSquad he won the Daytona duel but I know it doesn't count.
NRracing entertainment
If races were 10 laps shorter he could have won 4 or 5 races
Where can I find to night race not last years
Amazing how this is the image of Hendrick Motorsports today.
These guys are teammates now, and one is a Cup Series champion. The rest of the field better look out for the Hendrick boys!
Larson: Las Vegas
Bowman: Richmond
Byron: Homestead Miami
Justice prevailed in the main event Larson got some of his own medicine
I bet those 3 guys will all be busts.
checks notes....I mean "all will be future champions and great drivers"
Low downforce lots of hp is what nascar needs. No side force and no splitter and rolled doors and add a ride hight rule. See the pinty series cars that what these should look like.
Poor old Chase Elliot missing his first win.
+Armando Liederman but it really doesn't count as a NASCAR win because it's just a qualifier
+Michael Parisi except for that it isn't trophy a don't mean any hing
+Michael Parisi it ha a qualifier for the real RACE
+Michael Parisi but it's not a race it a qualifier for a race that doesn't even count
Kurt Busch, Ricky Craven 2003 Darlington all over again.
Have you ever?
+Christopher Ball what?
+Have a Sip: Hint- Listen to the commentary when Craven and Busch came to the line
HOLY SH*T !!! THAT WAS AWESOME !!!!
Here after young money's win in the all star race of 2021
Does anyone know how close this finish was?
According to Racing-Reference.info, the margin of victory was 0.015 seconds.
which race was this??
0:46 It's gonna be huuuuuuuuge
GOOD OL' RACIN'!!
ITS DEJAVU ALL OVER AGAIN
did anyone noticed the quarter panel of Larson's car?
yep, it's flared out.
McFloppy i wonder if nascar saw that?
+Steventhe2nd If you look close enough, they're all flared out. The teams are designing them to bend on contact with the ground and from the heat. It's only a penalty if the teams are caught tugging on them.
GO! 24&42
cars are not interested can somebody link me to another video in a good one.
Why are you on a channel with Cars racing you fucknut?
+PttyBlue43 first of all your really late on getting to my comment and replying too.
in second TH-cam brought me to this video you dumb bitch.
+PttyBlue43 you think I'm mad what statement is that? you're just wasting my time.
+Baal The Overlord of Terror Now that you realize that you make no sense.
that was cool
Lol remember these two weren’t even in the all star race
Was this race today?
Yes. It was suppose to be held yesterday, but got pushed to today because of weather. The All Star race is tonight
Armando Liederman It was
+Dalton G I like it this way! I say next year make All-Star Race a 1-day affair practice qualifying Showdown and All-Star Race all on the same day!
Why are there 5 thumbs down on this?
Probably because of the butthurt Chase Elliott fans😂😂
+Rafael Garcia prob that jeff g 24 dude and his bots lol
larson's side skirt was flared out
WOO WOO!!! YAY NASCAR
Yo yo young drivers finish 1st and 2nd
Elliott couldn't buy a win lol
Sucks that Logano had to wreck Larson. I hope he gets what's coming to him.
Logano didn't wreck him. Larson tried to get him loose, but failed because he was to far back.
jeffg24LT21 Shut the Fuck Up.
+jeffg24LT21 what a fuck boy
+PttyBlue43 ha get rekked other dude! get over it, kyle won!
+jeffg24LT21 and how is he a stalker?
I meet Kyle Larson
Zoink I met him at a dirt track he was racing at in Ohio. (Sharon Speedway).
and Alex bowman
#LarsonvsElliott
yay
Glad Larson won. Chase Elliot ruined larson's chance of winning at Dover
Uh, no. That was Matt Kenseth. He was still blocking Kyle Larson.
+WestCoastFishing Let me guess, you want to look at the finish closer than I did before. I kinda thought Chase was still too far to catch up to them.
+Jonathan Tanksley I just wanted you to know what my thoughts were on the finish to that race, since you said it was because Matt was blocking. +Brandon Slay so elliott should never pass a car thats faster for position? isnt that the opposite of racing?
Larson>Elliott
Yes! Yes! Yes! Larson!
Larson been racing chase like a loser since before they were even teammates
*That was Just to get in the all Star race*
Too bad it' was a bad race
